I got this in August 2013. For the first 3-4 days, I suffered too much from vertigo and constant vomiting. Fortunately the treatment was really good and I got the vertigo almost eliminated though hearing loss and tinnitus is constant but it’s okay. All I prayed the first days was just get me relief from vertigo and the vomiting. I was a teenager at that time and was too scared but life’s been going well now. Anyone going through this, stay strong 💪
@@nausheenmahtab0918 I wish I could, but I actually can't as I ain't into the medicines professionally. The best I can suggest is that you should visit the best otolaryngologist possible as per your location and other factors and get the treatment started as soon as possible cause the earlier you get diagnosed and start getting the treatment, the better outcome is supposed to be. Make sure that your treatment is having improved results over time, and if it ain't then try to consult other doctors as well, but don't terminate the treatment without the doctor's advice. I was 10y.o when I got this, so most of my things were taken care of by my parents and an uncle, and by the mercy of Allah and due to the doctor's good efforts, I started having improvements for most of the issues within a short period of time (I try to practise Islam that's why I show my gratefulness towards God by believing this way. You can/should also pray to God or the belief in which you have your faith as it might also help in going through hard times. It's just a bit of my personal opinion, but yeah, firstly, you shouldn't compromise with the treatment at any cost). I hope whoever you're asking this for gets better as soon as possible and gets ease of this issue. Just stay strong and as positive as you can (though sometimes or maybe most of the time, it could be annoying as heck, still try to be). I wish you and everyone good luck with their treatment. 🍀
@@danishcheema1779 I have tinnitus 24/7 for the last 6years in my left ear and for the last 4 or 5 months now I have it in my right ear too but not as loud for now. Hopefully your brain will just get used to the ringing and it won't bother you as much as when you first get it.
I am a general medical physician and I am having it for last 5_6years.the 1st attack was very severe which lasted 5to6 hours and my family took me to the hospital emergency.then the attacks recurred on each alternative month.this continued for one year and then it went away for 3-4 years.for the last few months it restarted and attacks are more frequent and some times occurring every other day.i am getting treatment from ent specialist.i have observed that reducing table salt to minium may help to reduce frequency of attacks
I actually got diagnosed when I was 16 I’m 19 now and it is so hard to explain to people why I can barley hear them 😭 the ringing and drop attacks are the absolute worst, I found out by getting dizzy and falling while in the shower went to the doctor after and could hear in my left ear, to this day my left ears hearing is still basically gone
That’s what happened to me! Got diagnosed at 20 after a sudden and acute attack one night. Knocked me on my ass for a couple months. I turn my right ear to people when I talk to them, and they always look at me like “what is this guy doing?”
@@3IGP4PI same bro, I too have to move my right ear but I tell people that I've some issues with my ear so please let me sit/stand/walk to your right side so that I can hear clearly. I've spent 50% (10 years) of my life with it but it still feels good thinking that I can still hear perfectly with my right ear and yeah I don't have vertigo or nausea 24x7 anymore. It (your life) will get better even with it as you'll get used to it though sometimes it kinda feels annoying but that's okay, just let the time do it's healing part:)
@@tony_stark_19 I'm only 15 and I've been experiencing the ear fullness, tinnitus, slight vertigo, and no drop attacks yet. Btw my tinnitus is happening more than 5 times a day.
@@KranMoi I'm sorry to know that you're going through these issues at such an early age. If your tinnitus ain't permanent and you're not having drop attacks, then I think there are still chances that you're not gonna have this as these symptoms can be caused by some other things as well. But if it started happening recently like within a few days (like 1-2 days), then there's a high probability that your symptoms will intensify soon (in my case it was just a day) and start causing many issues. That's why I would like to suggest you to visit an otolaryngologist and not to wait until your vertigo and tinnitus get permanent and you start having drop attacks. Are you having issues in hearing as well? Like, have you noticed any difference in your hearing ability, or is everything the same as it was earlier?
@@tony_stark_19 The tinnitus started happening on Monday and getting more frequent. Each time I get the tinnitus I feel like the world around me is getting louder. I've been getting migraines for quite some time now I thought nothing of it at the time. Not only have I been getting migraines I've been feeling sick with nausea, and pressure in my ears. Pretty recent symptom was when I was at my normal body temperature my body temperature became really hot all of the sudden. I don't know what's happening anymore I'm just feeling symptoms. I'm trying to research and narrow down what could be causing me this pain.
I unfortunately I have this shit. Haven't had a vertigo attack in a few months (knock on wood), but the tinnitus and fullness is frequent. Was legitimately contemplating suicide during the vertigo attacks. They're that bad.
Please see a doctor. The steroids are amazing at decreasing the severe part. Once they know you, they will call in meds when you have an attack so long as you see them once a year. I have had it over 30 years and learned my prodrome - when the vertigo comes it lasts days and days for me so meds are the big answer. The tinnitus can be lessened for some people with a certain multivitamin. I do have some hearing loss but because I have aggressively treated it early. Also the diuretics with a low salt diet. I have some significant allergies so adding the histamine tabs in are absolutely out for me but are supposed to help. You can have a full normal life with a few adjustments. I have had several pretty several attacks of sudden onset with no prodrome while driving. That still scares me. Hang in there. I completely understand how you feel.
I seem to have inherited my mother's chronic illnesses and one of them is Meniere's. By far Meniere's is the worst. I was diagnosed by a ENT specialist about 10 years ago. As well as vertigo, severe vomiting tinnitus and all that I have also had drop attacks. What doesn't get mentioned often enough is the fear that Meniere's causes. I remember being in a busy street and having an attack. I could hardly walk and I was vomiting and people were backing away thinking I was drunk. It's the helplessness of the whole thing. When I'm in my Meniere's season I get scared about when the next attack is going to happen. The Specialist told me that it was something that I needed to get used to. But my GP put me on betahistine that helps
Great content as always. Regarding management i heard from other sources that also diuretics in this case are prescribed since they can treat endolymphatic hydrops by excreting the extra fluid.

Guys i got vertigos for last 4-5 days, tinitus and fullnes in the ears esspecialy in the right one...i am under huge stress with the work and realized vertigos are triggerd when i get annoyed or angry at work and lasts till i get chill...idk whats going on with me i think i got this sickness, i dont have any kind of headaches nor pain nor high or low blood pressure. I am working abroad and need to go home after few days idk how i will drive like these for 8 hours..pls some suggestions and how fast i will loose my hearing?
I have been suffering from Meniere's for last 3 years. Have constant ringing ie tinnitus 24hours a day. Unpredictable Vertigo attacks almost every week for 2 years and it lasted for hours , had to go hospital for stemetil vaccine very frequently. I ruined my everyday life. Last month I was bound to bed for whole month due to daily episodes of vertigo, had to go to hospital almost daily. Thats when my ENT suggested surgery . I had Labyrynthectomy last month and after a month my vertigo attacks have stopped. Its to soon to say but my ENT says that vertigo will stop now. Though tinnitus is present and hearing in my affected ear is lost but relief from vertigo was our main motive. I am suffering from balance problem in walking after surgery but my ENT says it will recover as soon as other ear alone will take over the role of balance the body. Hoping that it may be the end of this dreadful disease and life become normal again. I suggest to get surgery if hearing in affected ear is beyond service.
My symptoms started a little over a year ago. It's scary having a vertigo spell all of a sudden and collapsing with no warning. The constant tinnitus or ringing in your ears is a pain too.
I'm 38 and got vertigo. I get dizzy everyday and having a very hard time walking. I having a hard time keeping my balance. I did hear ringing in my ears and felt like my ear was clogged up once just a few days ago. And my left leg shakes uncontrollably too. Do that sounds like Meniere's Disease or more like Diabetes?
Try doing the Bear Crawl. I am finding a lot of these auto immune diagnosis comes from a twisted body from doing repetitive exercise such as biking. Do 30 steps of the Bear Crawl 3 times per day. You will feel symptoms such as spasms, or tinging, which is normal as your joints will be realigning. Usually within a week, you will feel better. Just stretch out also
I think I’m in the late stage of MD because I just got my first drop attack with vertigo after today and my god I was on the verge of wanting to end it all. I honestly would rather lose my right ear than to live with this for the rest of my life.
I hope you're better now. I had the same thought when I got it. I just wanted to get rid of vertigo, puking. I wasn't able to even open my eyes, sit or eat for the first few days and I was thinking that it's all good even if I can't hear anymore with my left ear but just please make me able to sit and eat. It got better with time.
This could maybe be a dose of hope for some recently diagnosed folks...Ive meniers for about 16 years since my mid to late late 20s... every time i have an episode i get on steroids immediately, and my hearing comes back 97% in that ear, and the ringing totally goes away. Even when i completely lose hearing in that ear during an episode, it bounces back to almost normal hearing...Im lucky that i dont really get the vertigo. I keep prednisone around, so the moment an episode happens, i can medicate. I think that has kept my hearing going strong... also, i think i have a very mild case that relapses maybe once every 2-3 years. The only other lifestyle difference may be that i steam and sauna quite a bit... like 5 times or more a week... i suspect that helps with circulation... which maybe helps with preventing stuff like this happening as often... but I'm certainly no expert... 16 years ago they were telling me I'd need a cochlier implant and i still hear normally today without any lifestyle changes . Again Im not trying to rub it in to people that may not be as lucky as i am with this disease, but to those who were just diagnosed there is hope, and be vigilent and proactive in trying to keep your hearing as long as possible .
My Twin brother and I both have mineires disease. He was diagnosed at 12 and I was at 15. It’s not common at all at that age. We are 7 years+ in now, yet we don’t get many attacks of vertigo anymore, but we are at our final stage of our hearing loss. Thank the lord it is only 1 ear so we are not affected too much on our day to day lives. It is just unfortunate.
I was diagnosed at 12 too (in my 30s now), but it's bilateral, and still get a ton of vertigo attacks. I rarely see others online who have had it so young and so long! Wishing you and your twin good health.

Can menier's disease cause permanent hearing loss? I was diagnosed last 2021 and the Dr. Told me that after 10 yrs. I may loss my hearing permanently 😥may I ask if this is possible? Thank you in advance for your response.
To answer your question, yes it can cause permanent hearing loss. However, I’ve had it for 10 years and my hearing loss is very slight so far. I think it’s just a case by case scenario depending on the severity of your case.
@@Vagrantastrology I've treated it 100% through diet. I only consume 1200-1500mg of sodium per day and that's made a huge difference. I have noticed some other triggers, but it's mostly diet. I do notice it act up more in times of high stress, especially when work is really busy.
I've started getting random fulness in my ear without any eustachian tube dysfunction or nothing and then it magically dissapears without a trace and then again after a few months
A friend of mine at work complained about ear ringing, vertigo and Meniere disease for a very long time, I told him about Dr Madida on RU-vid that gave him a treatment he used. I experienced a drop attack when i was 16 years old. Was a sudden attack with no symptoms. I've had these rare occasional vertigo flare ups that lasted 1-2 hours like every 6-12 months. Inbetween these i haven't experienced any other symptoms. During Covid i sat on my PC and over a couple of days i experienced my left airpod didn't produce that much sound so i changed how it was sitting in my ear and it was all good again. Fast forward a few months and i experienced some degree of hearing loss and now i'm 25 and have been experiencing hearing loss, a mild but permanent tinnitus and these attacks 6-12 months inbetween are still happening. My ENT said it's either this or sudden deafness.

Iv now had 2 injections each at 12 week intervals and so far so good, not painful just uncomfortable and an odd sensation, I’m waiting to go back k to clinic to see if I’m having another one xxx
