Thanks :) I was trying to find out what B was used for, and this video helped. Books, apparently! I use A and C all the time but B was a mystery to me.

If one is printing and the final product is an 8.5x11 what paper size should one start with so the end product is 8.5x11 in other words given the bleed and the trim what standard paper should one print on?

It really depends on the printer you purchase the printing from. Some might recommend 9x12 and some might want a larger sheet. This printing would create an additional price of 4 cuts per page to trim the excess off to get the print down to 8.5x11, so you might want to consider because paper trimming/'cuts' cost can really add up, printing on a huge sheet with all the prints (depending on how many you need) abutting one another so the number of cuts greatly decreases. Talk to your printer and see what they recommend. If you're doing this printing job yourself then 9x12 should be adequate. I hope this helps and I hope you have a wonderful week!

Where would someone in the US buy metric paper for printing? I’m specifically looking for 28lb white B3 and B4 paper

Excellent question. This is a tough one. I don't think you can. Jet Pens sells some B3 paper but it's the wrong weight. You only have 2 options really and maybe only 1. The first option would be to befriend someone at a major printing company in your area and see if you can purchase from them something they order internationally but, most printers won't do this so you would have to be good friends with the owner most likely. The second and most likely solution would be to just order direct from oversees. You could call Hammermill and see if they'll sell you some since they make that for other countries or purchase paper from Neenah since they make so many different sizes but, you'll have to cut the paper down and I'm not sure if you only need a few sheets or thousands of sheets. This wouldn't be practical for large print jobs. You can buy imported from other countries on Amazon but, the weight might be off. Also, it's kinda mixing metaphors using metric sizing and standard weight. You might just want to go by 105 gsm. Hammermill: 1.800.242.2148 Neenah: www.neenahpaper.com/paper/sheets Jet Pens: www.jetpens.com/search?q=b3+paper Amazon: www.amazon.com/dp/B000FHVCQO/ I'm sorry I'm not able to be of more help. This is definitely a harder thing to do then it seems. I hope you have a wonderful day!
