I watched a pro engineer flip the phase on my drum mics, dial them out to near silence, and then flip them back into nearly perfect phase. Blew my mind, and taught me more in those few minutes about audio than I learned years prior.🤓
Minimum phase eq does introduce a phase shift but not delay. It can be perfectly cancelled out by the opposite filtters in real time. As negative delay is not possible it can be concluded that the phase shift don't always cause delay but delay always causes phase shift.

Do I need to adjust phase on every single sound in my mix and just flip it to whatever sounds best? Not just transient based sounds like drum hits and percussion? Obviously sounds in similar frequency ranges like bass and kicks.. but what do I pick as my main phased sound and rephrase everything around it? I've started making 2 copies of my EQ that is exactly the same. Then A/Bing between Linear Phase and (PROQ3) low latency mode. Then just picking the one that sounds the best. Doing a HPF on your whole track in mastering using Linear Phase can blur the transients. I don't understand when to use Linear Phase over regular EQ, so I've been using the copy approach and picking the best option.

What the heck is that background you're using?! I've seen it switch to other things in past videos since you've moved from the old studio to this new space to shoot your vids so I'm assuming it's just a graphic put there using some kind of green screen effect, but what actually is it?! Looks like an old worn out sneaker or jersey or even a ball of some kind that's copping those cracks in its graphics.. What the heck actually is it?! And why lol
