Can you explain the difference between flutter_bloc and rxdart? because flutter has chosen flutter_bloc as their main package. So I want to know the difference between the two.
@@andyjulow4388 Double back slash didnt on my end unfortunately. I tried path provider but that's a super complex plugin! :) thanks Andy. I'll just out the sonnet in a normal list and do it that way.
@@tubetlamber Yes I could not get File() etc to work. Must be some major bugs somewhere as I have loaded images before and all worked ok. And yes also had to use a normal list.
I got it to work using the rootbundle. No combination of slashes, backslashes, relative paths, absolute paths would work on windows. import 'package:flutter/services.dart' show rootBundle; var contents = LineSplitter() .convert(await rootBundle.loadString('assets/sonnet.txt')); See flutter.dev/docs/development/ui/assets-and-images#loading-text-assets. Make sure to register the text file in pubspec.yaml
i have problem on sonnets.txt file I dont know if problem is that: flutter: uses-material-design: true assets: - assets/sonnets.txt or else problem in for \ : '...\ xDart\ xDart_demo\\assets\\sonnets.txt' so i put double to escape (in windows) some think!!! but i have FIleSystemException : ........ (OS Error: No such file or directory, errno = 2)) i try to reverse \ in /.... but same error; after that, i am finished bullets to my gun 😅😅😅. i cannot undestand where is error, if is in asset declaration or on in \!! ThankForHelp Andy
