She is just throwing statistics out there without actually explaining them. She is just telling you what she thinks they mean. Don't get me wrong, racism is a real problem. This, however, does not prove anything and is hardly informative.

If you were thoughtful about what she was saying you would go on and seek more information on the subject. Believe me, you would find it. So the solution is in you to find it. There is no excuses in 2020. Stop being indifferent! By the way, she used that word.

I tend to agree. Claiming that the average white family has a net worth of $933,000 seems like a stretch. None of my friends and acquaintances have a net worth anywhere near that, and I don’t consider myself poor.
@mirandaal4541
@mirandaal4541 9 месяцев назад
@@rowdyhooThat’s not what she said. Why don’t you listen again? She said the _”average net worth”_ of the white family. I hope you know the meaning of the word “average.” Consider: 0.01% of the richest individuals hold 11% of the entire world’s wealth. If you consider that 9 of the top 10 richest billionaires on earth are Americans (all of them white) - and the picture replicates itself pretty much in the top 100 billionaires as well, you can understand why that is the _average_ net worth of the white family in the US. So next time you don’t have to dispute the (average) life expectancy of your country by saying that your cousin and your nephew didn’t reach that age!

I am going to seek help because I have anger and fear toward white people, part or me does not want to trust white people but I can't paint everyone with the same paint brush. There is no way society is colour blind. But here’s the thing, we are evolving. These stats are arbitrary and very one sided. The poor girls mother put a huge guilt trip on her. This is not about race it is about economics, education and culture. I wish people would take ownership responsibility for the choices they make. In the UK opportunities are for everyone who makes the grade and achievement on merit. These snowflakes with guilt trips and chipped shoulders. We are being conned by these people who are constructing a worse world in their head than reality. This is why we are seeing so much violence and vandalism. I feel sorry for this poor girl who says not to feel guilty but does. What a pity

I believe the presentation was honest and genuine. I also believe in the Structural Racism Project; but I also believe the project needs to streamline itself and go further into the heart of the issue. Go back to SPQR when Ancient Rome first codified Institutionalized violence, which eventually morphed into general structures of hatred of the Other.

Ever thought about east Europeans...for an Afro-American life is still better, have more chances to succeed in life. I live in Asia, I'm also excluded there as a white person. And did you ever hear about racism against white ppl in south africa?? There is structural racism. Racism is a problem, but you should maybe also raise awareness against racism against white folks

I stand for equality in society but I don't think the speakers understand the way of life. Historically every part of the world has had some disadvantage and every weaker group/person has been exploited. No one can change this. In Brazil/US, it is about race, in middle east, it is about religion/gender, in indian sub continent, it is about caste and in other parts, it is about political ideology. Everywhere people/group/nation tries to advance its interests. Just don't get overwhelmed by these things. Study, learn, work hard and take care of yourself and your near one's as justly as possible. That's it. There's no work where you don't exploit others for your earnings.

I got here looking up information on structural racism. I’m curious to figure out whether it’s real or not, as of now from what I’ve read in some articles and some of the videos I’ve seen, I’ve come to the conclusion that it does exist. Problem I find is that no one seems to address the root cause. I don’t believe it’s as easy as blaming white people or wealthy people in general. Reason being I don’t think these characteristics determine a persons values. Being born white doesn’t necessarily mean you have more opportunities, and being wealthy doesn’t mean you are better off. Anyone disagree and want to help explain their point of view?

same: If you disagree with the counter arguments to this video, I urge you to challenge that notion. Are Luiza Lodder and the statistics wrong? Was the data collection methodology credible? Is "lived experience" a metric we want to structure reality/ policy on? What could be the dangers of that? Useful questions to find truth. Issues are complicated

+rockstargirl213 You do realize this is in Brazil, right? In Brazil, everyone is Latina. That doesn't stop a portion of the population from identifying as white, and they receive privilege. Another thing that people away from the Equator don't realize is how much of a difference, my skin was also much darker when I lived in Brazil even though I'm about as white as an American can get. Fact of the matter is that pretty much everyone whose ancestors lived in the Americas for centuries is technically mixed, but that doesn't stop white people from existing.

Antiracisme roots and is fueled by revengeful racial hatred or revers racism, the other side of the coin . Inequality in non-white dominated UN nations can't be explained by racisme or antisemitism ,these are white privileges. We are al equal ,some are more equal (Animal Farm , Orwell) UN politics =international socialisme. Structural racism can only be explained with "revers racisme " whites are racists . The presumed racism in income inequality ? Fact ; Current African migrants earns more than the average American . The key; education and a non-criminal father at home .
