And there it was discussed that desires result in rebirth on Earth or lower realms. Dharma, Artha, Kaam, Moksha. I have tried to look for a good explanation on lokas and never ever found one. I am really really grateful for this video and for all others. Everything said here is a Pearl of wisdom. Sometimes there are happy tears when I realise how blessed I am to be hearing and learning such Divine concepts which will help me elevate the self to higher planes. All our indo European gods are the same with the same hierarchy as well, there are the dyus petr or the sky fathers/ allfather and the thunder gods in norse, greece, vedic Hinduism and rome. Our thunder god Indra kills the world serpent vrytra just like thor will battle the world serpent at ragnarok. They even have somewhat of the creation story similar. India has been trading with the greeks, Egyptians, persians, Mesopotamians & Roman's throughout history at differnt times but never with the norsemen. Still, we have so much in common, somewhere down the line I believe we met and had a cultural influence on each other as well. I would love to discuss these topic over some mead with you. Nice talk. I still think there are planets around the universe corresponding to the lokas. But i do agree that these are planes of existence. Accessible according to the evolution of consciousness. Candraloka for example. Its part of the svargaloka level. People have gone to Candra. But they couldn't access Candraloka.

Oh my God, such great info. I knew about the lokas, but could not corelate them to myself or my chakras. And the gayatri mantra that we sing, contains "Bhurbhuvahaswah", and Jain term Kaivalya which mean Moksha.

Although I (try my best to) follow a different tradition (vaisnavism), so many elements are naturally the same. One thing I wish to point out, is that, as you said towards the end "what is in us is in the cosmos, and what is in the cosmos is in us." My understanding is that the 14 lokas exist both in the micro and macro cosmos, meaning they are, as you describe here, internal planes of existence, as well as external planes of existence also, or actual places in the cosmos where you can physically go and reside (provided you attain an appropriate body for those environments). Otherwise this is an excellent presentation, in my humble opinion. Thank you once again.
You are absolutely right anders, its like a thing in various forms, it is in physical , mental , spiritual. It exist within us for them who took spiritual journey. As well as physical like 7 chakras of our system..as well as mental, it took us from bad person to a highly enlightenment person and it exist in reality too.. where a person can go after completion of his death and it completely biased on his karma..if he did bad karma then he will go to hell and if he did some good deeds then he or she will go to above 7 planes like mentioned here.. in our culture, one thing has many meaning. 7 planes below can be explained in the Form of vayu as apana vayu and when this vayu is taken up to the head it becomes pran vyan udaan and saman. It is possible to achieve this in this life through yog and a capable guru. Now coming to the question of existence in physical and subtle realms you are right what is in the cosmos is in you. The nature is divided into 2 portions para prakriti and the apara prakriti. The para is divine consciousness where there is no activity and the apara prakriti is where 3 gunas are in constant action and the 14 lokas are in the apara. I don't think man can travel physically there but a yogi can travel at a lightening speed and come back .
@@rajeshwarivasandani8305 There is activity in the para-prakrti as well my friend. The Supreme Lord and His liberated devotees have their nitya-lilas there. In Bhagavad-Gītā it is said how one attains the higher (or for that matter the lower) planetary systems in the macro cosmos. The method is simple in essence. You just have to worship the predominating deity of that particular planet, and then after quitting your present body you go to their planet. See Bhagavad-Gita 9.25
@@avadhuta93 if one can just pray the deity you can achieve it is a myth. One has to go through penance austerity to burn your karmas with the help of a capable guru you don't need to leave this body. While you are alive you can go there by the process of samadhi. @@rajeshwarivasandani8305 The point of leaving your present body is to obtain a body suitable for the particular environment on the particular planet you wish to go to. If, however, you attain a transcendental body, then you can go anywhere and everywhere in that selfsame body (like Nārada Muni). Aside from that, you can go there to visit in your subtle body by so-called astral projection. But if you wish to reside there more permanently you need a body which is suitable for the environment, as I said. Obviously, you can't go to the sun with your earthly body, for example. It would burn up before you got close. To reside comfortably in the sun planet, you would need a body composed primarily of fire.
Can one transition from bhur loka(earth realm) straight to satya loka after death when one would have done goods deeds or does one have to go through each lokas individually and can souls in swarga loka reborn
I think "maybe" by worshipping those above Brahma-Loka one can get even beyond Brahma's realms like worshipping the most highest source one get attracted near that source because like attracts like just like gravity.
That energy is Kundalini,Consciousness waking up is like going from hell to heaven and finding both useless. 14 Lokas are states of consciousness.Asuras are not demons,they have great self restraint and courage ,Raakshasa tattva is aspect just like daivatva,energies of different nakshatras.
