Absolutely, just a simple helium balloon discredits the entire theory of gravity. Helium or hydrogen weren't even discovered when Newton came up with his flawed theory of gravity 😲@@MathieusTheWalkingWitness

Newtons The falling of the apple hinted at the force of attraction. And the thought of the attracter came after having seen the apple fallen on the ground. So the idea came to the mind that the earth has got the power of attraction. And when he saw the apple coming down, he realised the force of repulsion. And as a matter of fact any one of them is quite sufficient to bring it down. Then, what for two are required? IN “Hadayiq-un-Najum, it is said: If a bullet is fired on the equal level it will go in straight line, following its own nature. This hints at the force of repulsion.
The experiment shown in the beginning of the video was conducted by Henry Cavendish to calculate the value of Gravitational constant, which is 6.67×10^-11 Nm²/kg². Also, if the effect of gravity on smaller bodies is able to be shown just by suspending two small balls on a horizontal bar, then why isn't the effect of gravity shown elsewhere like this?
It's difficult to show the effect of gravity on smaller objects else where because of opposing forces like gravitational pull from other objects, friction, air resistance and much more other counter acting forces. "That's why Cavendish suspended the balls on a horizontal bar to eliminate friction and put it in a wooden box to try and eliminate other forces as well. We haven't done this elsewhere because it's difficult to eliminate the other opposing forces perfectly.
@@ovidius2000 That's erroneous and stupid. I myself in my physics degree did the Cavendish experiment, as every physics student does. It has been redone thousands if not millions of times. You can't go to the moon without a Saturn V, and we made only about 20 of them and used them all. Now we are building new rockets to do it again. Ditch your stupid handle and go study Science!!
Cavendish recognised that heat is a factor to cause his torsion balance to move. Imo nobody can achieve thermal equilibrium within their torsion balance because one cannot determine that the centre of a large lead ball is at the same temperature as the centre of a small lead ball. The same can be said with all other pieces of the apparatus especially if they are made with different materials, e.g. wood for the beam. Observing the torsion balance swing around slightly and putting the causation of that movement down to gravitational attraction is a great idea but one has to prove it is because of gravitational attraction and not just attraction of masses due to differentials in heat or perhaps some other unknown explanation. All Cavendish proved was that he had a vivid imagination!!! That's unsurprising though given he had lots of money, never married or had children, ate the same meal every day for most of his life and didn't like his portrait sketched or painted.

Hi Sabins, can I get your permission to use your wonderful video in my teaching Newton's gravitaiotnal law to my Tibetan viewers? I will surely mention copyright and your youtube link thought the viewers might not be able to follow the links as RU-vid is blocked in CHINA.
This was really awesome Sabin Sir I thank you for making such interesting and useful videos Hope you will once explain working of a fan and working of TV (all types) Regards
Gravity=intermass action with planck scale space time warping. Unlike some kinds of electromagnetic radiation, Gravity doesn’t peek at you from behind other masses. Line of sight force only.
When you are falling there are no forces acting on you. Its not till something acts to push you away from your gravitationally determined path that you experience a force. The curve of space time is so severe near our planets surface that it requires 9.8m/s of force to push you away from the equilibrium state in that curved space. The curve of spacetime determines your path. Its really counter intuitive but we are like the fish who are trying to understand water. This leads to some stuff that is really weird when you first hear about it , like orbits being a strait line. They make a lot more sense after it sinks in for a while.

The lever using a horizontal scale is replaced by ripples from a very high energy top quark in the nucleus of each atom. Rest is identical. Laws to keep are that a convex interactive surface is positive ➕. A concave interactive surface is negative. Each time waves cut, there is an attractive force bringing the bodies together due to the negative surface interaction. Photons are positive in interaction causing displacement, dispersion and expansion.
Very good explanation I have a question :- we know that if we have 3 unknown values in an equation we need 3 equations to solve the problem & find the solution..... I will clearify the question the 3 unknown values in Newton's gravitational law (f=G×m1. m2 /r2) are the G gravitational constant.... m2 mass of the earth.... And r the earth radius So if we put 3 different weights (m1) three times & by computation of the gravitational force (f) each time and because we know (m1) so we can figure out the other 3 values (G.... m2.... r) Is my English good?
Your English is good enough for me to understand approximately what you have in mind, but your question is incomplete. Think carefully about what information you know, and what information you want to find. Without knowing specifically what information is given, I can't help you.
Is gravity affected by magnetism? I recall some comment that a strong magnet changed the normal gravity of objects near or within the strong magnetic system.
No, gravity is not affected by magnetism. Magnetism and gravity can coexist in the same situation, and the forces would add up as vectors, but one does not affect the other.
after newton all are testing gravity by apple only but why you can jump and show the impact of gravity 😂 really whenever i saw animated vedio about gravity they only throw apple , apple from car ,apple from hand ,apple from tree . newton makes apple famous... i think apple has speacial power newton got fame and become scientist with journey with apple and jobs also have proved that apples are lucky
That's true for everyone. It's impossible to push yourself up. You push down on the Earth, and the Earth reflects the same push force back onto you. Since the Earth is so massive, it doesn't go anywhere from your push. But you do, from the Earth pushing back on you.
Wonder if any tried the hanging ball test in a vacuum chamber to take out the "air pressure" factor that many people that deny gravity or the earth's rotation use as a red herring,
Sir mera question hai ki Agar ham dono pindo ki bich ki duri ko aadhi kar de to bal yani F kitna Guna ghat jayega ya kitna Guna bhad jayega f=g*m1*m2/(d/2)^2
The Life-Desire is the Force or Motor of Life. In direct Extension We have Will (Life-Side) and Gravity (Stuff-Side) By our Will, We do Balance Gravity of Earth, with our own, when We lift the cup. Tide is caused by the slightly Slinger of Earths rotation. So, Will is Life-Power, Gravity is Stuff-Power.
Tudo muito bem explicado. Mas que tipo de força é a gravidade??? Elétrica, Magnética, nuclear, mecânica, alguem sabe dizer??????? Nem Isaac newton saberia.
In general, the simplest form of object positioning around another object in space is spheroidal positioning. Just like Electrons around nuclear in atom , But why do the planets in the solar system form a disc around the sun?
The sun is attracting earth and the earth is attracting moon. I am a little bit confused here that why the sun is not attracting the moon which is much smaller than earth. Would you like to explain please. Thanks
Gravitational field & energy contained in gravitational field exist in space around & b/w mass bearing objects. What is source of gravitational energy? Does gravitational field borrow its energy from space since there is nothing else there except Space. Is space an energy field?
gravity, acording to general relativity, is the distortion of space-time that is created by any mass. gravitational force is, well, the force that is exerted on any object near a gravitational field. this can be calculated with the formula given in the video. gravitational accelerations is, again, the acceleration an object adquires when in free fall inside a gravitational field.
I haven't a doubt....!! You said that every body attract each other due to force of attarction but where does this force come from a Ideal body....? Waiting for the Answer :)
Since Gravitation has now been shown to be fictitious and appears as a force only because of space time curvature, how does this experiment work? Is the large mass warping space so the smaller balls move towards it?
pretty much with one minor change.. both masses are warping space/time & both masses are trying to move toward each other.. just the small mass is freely allowed to move.

I am thinking round apple fall on ground due to gravitational force then why moon moving around instead of falling down on ground due to gravitational force. Neither let it go away nor it let it fall on the ground.
Alright so maybe if you paid attention to the video you would know. The reasons why the apple falls into the Earth's surface and the Moon doesnt are these: 1.- If you take a look at the formula for universal gravitation, and as it is SAID in the video you are commenting, the gravitational pull decreases by the square of the distance between the 2 analized objects. The Moon is very far away from the Earth, but not enought to scape its pull, the apple in the other hand, is right by its surface, where the force exerted in it thanks to the gravitational field of the earth is much much stronger. 2.- The Moon has inertia (or centrifugal force) thanks to its orbit around Earth, which as you should know, given you are watching physics videos, is a force exeded in objects when on a circular motion, that pulls tangentially to its path, which already stated, is circular. And as an added bonus to sprinkle some more knowledge into you the reason this motion doesnt stop is because space is frictionless, meaning there is no recistence to the motion of objects, thats why the Moon can keep ots orbit indefinitely, or the Erth's orbit around the Sun, etc. This is thanks to Newton's first law of motion, that if no force is applied on an object, its motion will not change. The reason here on Earth things do eventually stop moving is thanks to either surface friction, viscocity of fluids, or air recistence.
Because gravity is a two way street. Earth causes a gravitational force on you, and you cause a gravitational force on it. If we can measure what gravity two known masses would cause on each other, and measure their own weights, as Cavendish had done, we can apply this knowledge to find the mass of the Earth.
I want to learn this animation vedio editing 🥴.... Plz some one tell me where and how to learn this.... Any app or class etcc what ever it is i have to learn .. plz
Not only a theory, that's the thing how actually things work.... According to Newton's 2nd law of motion, F=Ma M=F/a Now, we know that Apple and Earth pulls each other with equal force. Earth Mass is much much greater than the mass of Apple. If the Mass is higher then the acceleration becomes lower, As Mass and acceleration are inversely proportional to each other. Earth Mass is much much higher than the Apple's Mass, So Earth's acceleration towards apple will become approx Zero. That's why Earth doesn't moves towards apple, only apple moves towards earth....
@@HarshaHarshG-tb3pu Ok, give me your take on how gravity causes acceleration between masses? Traditionally it’s the radius adjusting it, but…why and how does this measurement really do the deed? I have a hypothesis as to how it works, but would like to see if you have something different first.
You have to think in terms of Inertia. Basically Earth have more Inertia than Apple, As Inertia and Mass are Directly proportional to each other. Inertia is like Laziness, Earth doesn't want to move towards apple as Earth Mass is greater than the Apple's Mass. Only Apple moves towards the Earth.
Long time ago people find, that earth is not ideal sphere, and even centre of the mass is not fixed. In simple words directions of gravity will not intersect in the same point (centar of the earth), or vertical will not be vertical but declined for some part of the second.
If i buy meat when the moon is directly above me can i get more than when the moon is in the opposite side of the earth? Or the same as when its high tide.
Not even enough to swing a digit on the scale. We're talking piconewtons of difference, for a kilogram of meat. The reason the moon affects the ocean tides, but the difference in weight is negligible for everything else, is that the ocean spans the entire planet, and gets simultaneous exposure to different parts of the moon's gravitational field. These differences accumulate across the entire planet, even though they are insignificant for just a single kilogram of water.
