How to solve cycle reference error
@MLCCADSystems
@MLCCADSystems 4 месяца назад
Cyclical references are a product of how the assembly was put together and how the files are managed. If you see that error in an assembly, open it up and run Performance Evaluation to see if you can track down what is happening and fix it. At the most basic level, you may find Part A that is in-context to Part B, but Part B is located relative to Part A. It could also refer to equations in a file. Redefine it so there is a clear parent/child relationship that doesn't allow a parent component to reference a child component. Good luck!

Can you lock out a file so other users aren’t able to check out the file ?
@MLCCADSystems
@MLCCADSystems 2 месяца назад
Yes, and there are a few ways to do it. If you check out a file, it is locked for you only. If you have complete the design you can use a workflow to lock it from everyone until they start a new revision. You can also set permissions by folder or file type. I hope that helps!

@@MLCCADSystems Can you please create a video on implementing a simplified workflow to lock drawings/models for other users? Thanks in advance

@@adrianz3233 Using Workflows to control access is demonstrated in this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-urSbnXuAWDk.html. Implementation of workflows is a more complex topic because it requires fully understanding how the team works and configuring PDM to add value without getting in the way or adding unnecessary steps. There is a quick start configuration that contains a very simple workflow similar to what is shown in the video and can be customized as needed by a PDM administrator.
