Undertale Asgore/ Bergentrückung Dual Mix 

In the pic Asgore looks so,... intimidating,... not that he wasn't in-game, but he seemed more somber, and unhappy about doing what he was doing.

The thing about asgore, is he isn't smiling in the fight. That is part of his head that he is hanging in shame. He knows it is wrong to do this, and if you do true pacifist he admits it to toriel. My theory as to why he destroys the mercy button is because he knows he would instantly be mercy-able, or he doesn't think he deserves mercy.

Asgore's battle was so underrated.

To everyone wondering how strong Asgore really is: It's explicitly stated that Sans caused a lot of Flowey's resets, but was probably defeated eventually... Which means that Flowey could kill sans, but needed your help to get past Asgore... So damn.

Asgore in the 3 endings: Pascifist: Tris to kill you. Neutral: Tries to kill you. Genocide: "Would you like a cup of tea?" I know that Asgore THINKS he has to kill you, but still.

I have no words for how awesome this is. This sounds like the definitive moment in a really good anime episode. Flames are flying, blades are clashing and 2 incredibly powerful souls are going at it, both reluctant to do so, but forced to do so by circumstance. ASGORE is one of the best battle themes of all time, and this is one of the best mixes of all time.

It's always that part at 1:53 that gets me. It mixes it with a sort of higher tone, but it also includes a sort of drop at the same time in both the original version and RichaadEB's rock cover. Kudos to him including that one in, some musical artists tend to miss that! And, of course, the lovely mix that brings the two together :)

The Asgore fight was really incredible. Not only because of the music, but because the way it's built up the subtle things that make it so perfect. When I first caught a quick glance Asgore's battle sprite before I played the game, I assumed he was wearing some sort of imposing helmet or he simply had a rather gruesome, cyclops-like appearance. When Toriel talked about how he would kill me at the beginning of the game, it furthered my belief that he was some sort of big bad. However, soon other characters began to talk about how nice he was, and I really didn't know what to expect. When I finally got to him, it was far more well thought out than I could have hoped. He wasn't some kind of horrific, imposing tyrant monster. He was just a lonely, scared old man who had lost his children and wife while he desperately tried to keep his people hopeful. He didn't want to fight any more than I did. But the absolute best part was when I realized that his battle sprite was actually looking at the ground. He didn't don some kind of demonic helm and challenge you like most bland RPG bosses. The reality of the situation was he couldn't even look you in the eye and face the reality that he was killing a child. Fucking. Beautiful.

You know, we never TRULY see Asgore fight in earnest. He's such a nice guy that even when he knows he has you kill you for his people, he still doesn't want yo and hesitates if tell him you don't want to. I sorta wished there was an ending where he sees you for who you are, all that you have done, and even his warm heart van find no ounce of good in you, and thus, he achieves the ultimate determination like Undyne. I love how this song makes me think of the kind king who must use his hidden power for the sake of his people.

i don't really understand but really like how every piece of undertale art iv'e seen has SOULS displayed as being an actual part of the player/right infront/ being manipulated by the player in some way, i think its really cool

One Of My Favorit Songs Ever

i wish i could make music. i have the right ideas, but i don't know how to use the software like fl studio and sorts, because if i could, i would have modified 1 thing on this song to make it perfect for me. basically the beginning bugs me because the retro mixing in with the harmonies doesn't sound good colliding each other. expected the retro part to be quieter than the guitar harmonies. still fantastic either way, so whatever.

So when I first played this, I did a pacifist run first when I found out about sparing enemies (also after realizing that I could accidentally OHKO Toriel and then resetting the game only to be mocked by Flowey...).When he destroyed the Mercy button... "This shit just got real..."
