GUYS PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU COMMENT So I received a few (a lot of) suggestions saying that Showdown for Asgore doesn't fit that well, and I agree, so I made another version. Obviously I didn't want to reupload this entire video, so it gets it's own little video. You can watch it here- ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YtE9BKtE6Lw.html Also please stop asking me for the reverse I already did it - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WQosaCXh2Xc.html
Hear me out since it’s a little weird to have both of martlet themes back to back I’d either replace protocol with Showdown or give Apprehension to Papyrus and give showdown to Undyne. I feel like Showdown is too much of a banger to not use but I agree some point of no return is perfect for asgore
I feel like ASGORES modified theme would also work pretty well. since its for him. but point of no return would also sound pretty cool and fits pretty well.
i think i understand why megalovainia is indestructable now. Megalovainia was specifically designed for the Sans fight, and because said fight has cuts in the music during the second phase, it had to work well despite the fact that random sections of the song would be cut out.
@@vencedor1774 Typically, when speaking about Megalovania being indestructible, you are referring to the arrangement used for the Sans fight. This is mainly because that is where Megalovania is most known, and hence is the arrangement that most commonly appears in videos that screw with the song, which happen to be the very same videos that receive comments referring to Megalovania as "indestructible."
If I were to put the souls into the specimen themes, It would probably go like this: Patience: Clay Bravery: Organic Integrity: Polygonal Perseverance: Paper Kindness: Patchworked Justice: Mechanical (Half of them already fit really well lol)
the ones that work 0:00 sort of 7:12 PERFECT 17:27 at the beginning but not after the first 5 seconds 18:24 yes? 23:51 no. 28:20 the soul themes are kind of weird but afterlife is obviously perfect 36:18 y e s 46:54 I was actually really surprised how well it works 50:08 eh (by work I mean fit with the boss fight, hopefully that was clear)
Srry but napstablook is perfect, in fact toriel is less perfect that napstablook, come on napstablook and decibat (i think?) both want to be alone, are the first fight, (sadly) most irrelevant actual boss fight
I feel like this works very well with Protocol and Apprehension for Papyrus and Undyne, because it embodies their characters and their dynamics. Papyrus really wants to be like Undyne and seems like a mini version of her in sense of these two themes, and the theme spirits really feel like these characters. Papyrus is just doing what the *protocol* tells him to - Catch the human. He hasn't thought much about why he does it, and can't actually do the tough part, which is killing, he can not bring himself to it. While Undyne is the opposite in the way that she knows what she has to do and follows through with it - she tries her best to *apprehend* you.
I know I'm really late to the party but I think the part of end of the line with the faint enemy retreating motif could've worked decently with mettaton neo. Good choices, I like them
This is the most fitting music kind of video except asgore showdown, i just love everything about this, its like if undertale yellow music was supposed to be in undertale, great job man.
i have to say, i really like the placing of martlet's themes it makes it sound like the protocol leitmotif is used for the royal guard, excluding sans though but it's still appropriate
I was suprised AFTERLIFE was the first half of omega flowey instead of BEST FRIENDS FOREVER because of the order it goes in yellow, but it works better that way.
Not going to lie, methinks having Guns Blazing at the beginning of the mettaton fight, then after mettaton NEO is revealed having END OF THE LINE fade in would be sick as hell considering how END OF THE LINE is essentialy a metal remix of Guns Blazing i think it could work pretty well what do you think? I don't know, Enter Axis doesn't strike me as a "boss theme", it's more in the vein of Showtime where it's just for introducing a character Addendum Personally, I also think that A mother's love works best on Asriel's phase 2, having Trial by fury be on phase 1, then switching to the calmer intro of a mother's love (which, of course ramps up) helps with the tone of "hopelessness evolving into hope" during the fight.
It would do literally nothing Marlet barely got her attack sent from like 8 to 25 .so around 4 times stronger And her defense was higher Sans is already the weakest the serum would barely increase his attack to like 5 and even if we say he gets 25 attack like marlett still nothing Remember frisk has over 100 defense with the locket on sans would still deal 1 damage he doesn't ignore defense the Game is just made in such a way monsters MUST at least deal 1 damage when landing attacks And his defense frisk cut undyne the undying. Down at like half the LV they had against sans and undyne the undying has over double the defense Zenith marlett has At best it would recover sans's stamina and make his attacks harder but Stats wise its worthless
I know I already asked for a bunch of stuff, but I kinda feel like Igorsantusa’s take on the Storyshift OST would fit the original Undertale’s bosses pretty well. It also has a custom M.M.M. boss replacement so if you have Undertale Red And Yellow then maybe use it to also include Krakrak’s theme? The boss themes are: 10. Tapestry 14. Bonetrousle 21. Cat Song 24. Headdrift 36. Lampage 46. Vs. Toriel 50. Masticator 59. Tem Waltz 68. Die With Honor 72. maybe this will play when chara fight you 76. Memento Mori 77. MEGALOVANIA 79. Ghost Fight 80. Purification 87. Heart Of Darkness 88. Drown In Your Tears 89. Freedom 90. Them 97. Fate 98. Grasp Of A Hero 99. Undyne Rebirth 100. BLACK
I don't know if I'll do another video like this, especially since this isn't what I usually post, but I appreciate the suggestion! Maybe I'll do it one day if I ever play the fan game
I think undying and sans should switch themes. Trial by fury sounds more calculated, which undyne and her fight are absolutely not and sans and his fight are, while remedy is more active and defiant, which would fit undyne. Retribution is even more undyne
Me: *sobs to His theme for the 15th time* Trial by Fury: *starts playing immediately after* Me: Oh yeah.. *sniffs* cool Undertale Yellow music... Riight :,)
An interesting replacement for undyne would be remedy for spear of justice and retribution for Battle against the true hero. Isnt really logical, but it fits, sonce in remedy zenith marlet is at her peak, and in retribution she is on her last breath, but sstill fighting. Same with undyne (mostly)
Everyone is saying these fit, but honestly I don't really think they do. I know by editing I’ll lose my hearted comment, but I did wanna say that I’d prefer if you don’t skip dialogue in these kinds of videos. Part of the reason I’m even watching this is to see how well these songs fit from a story perspective too, not just a gameplay perspective.
I'm kind of the opposite. I prefer gameplay over the story. Not that I don't like or want the story, it's just that I'm impatient and I've replayed these fights multiple times so it's just a natural instinct at this point. I'll try to keep this in mind for future reference!
Since flowey has too many ill name them for ya AFTERLIFE Specimen: patchwork Specimen: organic Specimen: clay Specimen: paper Specimen: polygonal Specimen: mechanical BEST FRIENDS FOREVER
Hey, does anyone know where the Retribution song is in the Undertale Yellow game files, I found Remedy but not Retribution. I actually want to rename it into the megalovania file name and put it into the normal Undertale folder so it replaces the normal megalovania song. So does anyone know where the Retribution song is?
1. Everyone already knows your so-called "theory", at this point, putting the 2 pieces together is just common sense. 2. Your "speculation" makes literally 0 sense.
Both games do their genocide route the same, but with Yellow, it forces you to move through each room to kill enemies, while in Undertale, you can stay in the same spot to kill all the enemies in one area. It's a small change, but Yellow makes their genocide route more tolerable imo
I would but some objections: I already did mad dummy glad dummy doesn't have a boss theme Mad Mew Mew is only accessible on Ninetendo Switch (Which I don't have) I'm straight up too lazy to do So Sorry Thank you though :)
@vamsquid1524 solutions: Glad dummy: just choose a theme that fits with glad dummy boss and with the power of editing, put a song in the video. Mad Mew Mew: just use someone's clip defeating the boss and put the music that fits Mad Mew Mew the most (don't forget to give credits) So Sorry: just stop being lazy like papyrus said. You can rest A͟ B͟I͟T͟.
This is mostly great, but Showdown actively ruins the mood of the Asgore battle, replacing one of if not the best battle theme in Undertale. Other than that, great!
