I've never felt so strongly for a character that appears in a game for _two minutes_

Worst of all, this track sounds like what it must feel like to live as a fusion of 17 people, with your mind constantly switching between different perceptions, thoughts, memories...

Quick fact: if, when fighting Snowdrakes mother, you choose the option "heckle", it says: "You said something like... "You look horrible." "Why are you even alive?" ... what? You didn't say that?". Creeped me out when I first did that.

I think it was the pathetic attacks that made it even sadder, especially the attack that's outside the box and literally can't hurt you

Fuck everything else, So Cold is the saddest fight in the game.

Determination is one hell of a drug.

By theory the reason she doesn't aim correctly is that she has NO intention to harm you.

Fun Fact: The song that plays during this fight is actually just an effect placed on _mus_snowy_ in the game files. This means you can replace that file with any song you desire, and get the same distortion effect. It's pretty neat.

This "fight" broke my heart because she didn't even have enough awareness or energy to fight you.

Fun fact: this song may not sound the same as this whenever you play against Snowdrake’s mother because the distortion effects values are randomly generated and that’s what makes it different!

You laugh, and keep laughing. It's SO funny, you can't stop. Tears run down your face.

THIS AMOUNT OF FEELS IN ONE SINGLE GAME SHOULD BE ILLEGAL

Ugh. I feel like taking a page out of Napstablook's playbook and just reducing my own HP to be polite. This amalgamation is like seeing your incredibly aged, weak, sick relative who makes you feel uncomfortable every time you consider asking them for anything.

Fun fact... When you feel like you're freezing to death... Don't worry. The cold will stop, and sooner or later. You'll feel warmth.

I cried so much when I realized she was Snow Drakes mother... The bad puns made her remember him...

I feel sorry for all the amalgamates, but this one truly is the most sad. They can't even attack you properly. Poor Snowdrake's mom...

Creepy and sad music, terrifying enemy design and such a sad backstory makes me be happy 'cause mom, dad and snowdrake are together again.

This fight probably hit me the hardest. Strangely, it reminded me of vollunteering at the Nursing Home, everything felt so...eery. Devoid of hope. Nurses trying to keep the older people enertained. This fight also reminds me of my Grandma with mental issues, just trying to keep her happy. True Lab was unsettling overall, including the other fights too.

You said something like... "You look horrible." "Why are you even alive?" What? You didn't do that?

oh the two faces on the sides they're her eyes, but closed oh gosh

This is probably one of the saddest moments in the game, and the soundtrack on top of Snowdrake's Mom herself is heartbreakingly scary.

Encountering her and hearing this for the first time really tugged at my heart strings, I nearly cried just looking at her. Made it worse when she talked and "attacked"... Poor little thing... ;-;

This is that one enemy that appears once every non-horror game You know The one that makes you turn your head at a 4 degree angle from the screen and flash a part-disturbed and part-disgusted look at the screen Yeah, that enemy

Always noticed it was a snowdrake. Didn't, however realize it was also part Vegitoid. I also noticed that its theme, Is the song "Snowy" except broken and distorted. This thing is scary. Poor Snowdrake mother.

Everyone lost the will to even select any option...just left with that entirely different layer of sadness during this fight.

this is probably my favorite part in the whole game. It's incredibly unsettling...especially if you see her melt away.

I couldn't bear to even go into battle with this poor monster. I mean, she couldn't even aim her own shots... I almost cried. Good thing I was trying for True Pacifist.

For those calling her "Snowdrakes mother" she does actually have a name. Her name is Crystal, because in Deltarune you can see four graves, three of them belonging to who the amalgams were in Undertale. The grave marked "Crystal" is definitely referencing her

guys, the algamates are basically clusters like in steven universe. 1 . they are kinda unstable 2.fused against they will because determination.

This, along with the Everyman attack from the reaper bird, was what unnerved me the most when I went through the true lab. It has a lot to do with the music, the hesitant attempts at attacks and the dialogue being shown throughout the fight. The way which it plays a usually cheerful song depicting a snowy Christmas-y area of the game and turns it into this slow and unnerving piece plays a part to that. The jumble of mess that could be labelled as an attack pattern shows how this enemy isn’t even aiming to attack you and is barely holding itself together. This and that fact that when you win it says that it finally managed to ‘calm down’, which I interpret as it not being emotionally stable throughout the battle itself, or just crying while you conversed with it. The dialogue is the most unsettling thing as it says ‘it’s so cold’ when you first encounter it, which is creepy because of the little to no context you’re given while distorted music plays. And as you try the other options other then ‘check’ and ‘joke’ it provides you with extremely disturbing things that you apparently did, and then later stating that you didn’t do any of that while the narrator takes notice themselves.

[spoilers in this so watch out. this is assuming you've got the true pacifist run complete.] I'm not gonna lie, when i got to the area where this shows up, and after i learned everything about that place has to offer. It....I don't know, it fucking CHANGED me. Knowing the fact that one of your FRIENDS made this....this....sad abomination....plus all the secrets she keeps from you. everything from the video tapes and the log entry's..... The true lab fucked with me, is pretty much what i'm saying.

Honestly, I didn't even realize who they were at first. Well, I had an idea. But I just felt heartbroken for this poor thing. Like it was so shattered that it could barely talk, its music reflected this..hell it can't even _attack_ you properly, like it's some broken thing that's weakly trying to swipe at you but is just too screwed up to do it. You can meet her with her family in the ending, talking to her she just says "sn-snowy", Now with Deltarune you realise that it wasn't because of the snow, but snowy is the name of her son, kinda heart warming that she's at least grasping one identity, and that there is some comfort in being able to hold one mind, even with a little struggle.

The distortion...it sounds the same way it feels to be suddenly betrayed and abandoned by your best friends with no explanation why. So confusing. So lonely. So cold.

It has one of the lamest attacks in the game, and I realize this because it recognizes that you're a child. When you put two and two together near the end it gave me feels.

I got hit on purpose because this fight was so heartbreaking [Spoilers] I’m at least happy she’s reunited with her family at the end of the Pacifist route.

With the attacks not even coming close to hitting you, it feels like she just wants you to go away. She's scared and confused by her surroundings, you especially. The jokes make her think about her family, thus calming her down. She just wants to see her family, even if it's the last time. That's what got to me.

The first few times I went through this fight, I was so freaked out and sped through the fight so fast I couldn't even realize that's her melted jaw and torso at the bottom of her face.

I’ve always seen this as Chara sort of losing it in the battle and starting to think about their life before they fell. They’ve just learned that _their_ plan led to the amalgamates’ existence, so their thoughts kind of... spiral.

She can't even aim her bullets correctly.

the 'it's so cold' and phrases like that just gives me chills, like this being is actively freezing and in such frigid pain that it can't even fight properly

This is what it feels like to live in existential pain and suffering at 2:00 AM, weeping as you wish for it all to be over.

this fight is not only one of the saddest moments in the game, but also one of the most disorienting - for EVERYONE involved. you (the player) are at LEAST somewhat put off, frisk is (probably) close to tears, and the narrator is so disoriented they’re narrating things that didn’t happen

The sad thing is that this is the LEAST amalgamated creature. And, to add to it, the sound is a distorted version of Snowy, and that is just sad... If I could only give it a hug...

When I came across this battle I actually cried because of how tragic it truly was. The amalgams deserved so much better, but in the end they just... melted together. Think about how painful it must've been, if not physically, mentally. Sharing a broken mind with various other monsters must've been a scarring experience.

I don't think I've ever heard a song that so perfectly meshes together the feelings of unease and sadness, both fear and sorrow.

Jesus- Okay, I was texting my friends while going through true lab, and started BALLING when I saw this thing. The dialogue “It’s so cold” had me crying my eyes out and I still have no idea why. I played genocide all the way through and didn’t cry once, but just SEEING mother made me cover my mouth the instant I saw it. The other amalgamations had me upset, but THIS. Jesus, and it got worse the more I fought it. “You laugh, and keep laughing. It’s SO funny, you can’t stop. Tears run down your face.” Is EXACTLY what was happening to me Irl. And i didn’t even know it was Snowdrakes mother till my friend told me. And yes I know this was five years ago.

Like, I recently watched my friend play this game and when this fight came up I was shook because I hadn’t noticed that it wasn’t anywhere in the official ost before. It’s probably one of my favorite songs mostly because of the dialogue. What a chilling fight in the True Lab.
