I love how flowey's mocking "ow" turns into genuine screams of agony once he realizes that he's losing.

For a game that is so unapologetically cutesy, flowey ends up being one of the starkest depictions of evil in gaming if you really think about his intentions and actions in this scene. He pretty much creates a hell for your character

The fact that this song and it's entire soundtrack was made toby fox and his small team just amazes me. The sheer beauty of it is so compelling and uplifting.

Neutral ending seems like more of a triumph as soon as the souls start helping you, it feels like a fucking super metroid hyper beam moment

Why am I just now noticing the remixed hints of the Amalgamate theme...which foreshadowed Flowey’s origin and connection to Alphys’ secret lab and experiments. I love the attention to detail that this 6 year old game adds to every nook and cranny

One of the themes I really love about this song is the switches between happy upbeat tunes and harsh combat themes. It just really gives the feeling of rage and sorrow vs determination and hope

5:25 this has to be the best part of the song for me, all of that hell you just endured and its like you've just achieved the ultimate power at your disposal as the souls surround you in a circle and they give you both life and encouragement as the Sonic boss battle music starts playing basically telling you that this is it, Flowey cant beat you and no one can, this is all you.

Even all this time later, the opening with Flowey's laugh still sparks "LET'S FUCKIN GOOOOOOOOO" energy. Someone has to save the world. Ain't gonna be Flowey.

when the music goes so hard you have to mimic playing the instruments

I love the whole fight because it's intense because of some story stuff. You're basically fighting god, and are just simply trying to make it out alive. It's not just the music, the visuals are all very full of stimuli, and the sound effects are plentiful and fittingly intense. When you go into the soul sections, tone shifts again. They all feel like another entity controlled by flowey. Also how the first few are handed off to with a siren sound effect making it feel like flowey's sending them at you, while the rest having a sound effect that I can only describe as fog clearing makes it feel as if they're trying to escape. And ooohhh boy, The Finale. You're not frantically trying to not die in the same way now, that's for sure. It's now that you're taking this fight to them, serving them a year's supply of canned whoop-ass because of what they did. It's still frantic as hell, but hope is on your side.

This is probably common knowledge at this point, but I like how the soul attacks hint at the weapons you find throughout the game, implying that those weapons belonged to the other fallen humans. It's a neat little touch.

Finale is at the peak of final boss themes, seriously it’s like my 3rd favorite final boss theme in gaming, no megalovania isn’t in that top 3

I'll be honest, I was struggling against Flowey at first, but the minute the song changed from Your Best Nightmare to Finale... This will sound corny, but I felt determined to continue onward and somehow managed to avoid just enough damage to survive and win. Love this(ese) soundtrack(s) very much.

Considering that this was our first final boss in undertale, we were incredibly surprised, you cant say that you werent or else youre lying. The look of omega flowey, the soundtrack, the battle itself, the context... It's just amazing. Not my favourite route but the best final boss by far. This still hits hard in fucking 2024
