@@solarfiringtiger4254 not really we’ve seen what getting out of betty’s possession does to monsters but asrial completely ignored it even when it put sans completely out of commission and asrial earlier got taken down by a way weaker version of betty almost instantly

Is Gaster's rage from the fact his experiment just died or is it because he actually cared for Sans? Because it seems that Gaster thinks of Sans as an experiment with all the flashbacks of Gaster experimenting on Sans. So it would make sense that the rage is from his experiment dying.

@@NovaWasTaken_ He cared for sans. The experiments were with determination because he was already dying and Gaster was trying to save him.

@@NovaWasTaken_ Gaster is sans and papyrus's father, he loves them more than life itself, they are the most important things in the universe to him, loosing one of them, not once, but twice, and the second time being his fault, made him absolutely loose his mind, and he took his rage out on the one he saw at fault for all the misery he's been through

The flashbacks were specifically because of the DETERMINATION as he *_KNEW_* the consequences of such an action, but couldn't bare to see Sans in the state he was. He wanted to save Sans by whatever means necessary, & as he was already dying there wasn't much left to lose by doing this. Maybe Sans actually COULD'VE survived for real with that DETERMINATION... But using everything he had like that to stop Beté? He not only lost his son once, but now AGAIN. *_RIGHT. IN. FRONT. OF. @@pocke_mp4692 Perserverance would make sense, as Gaster is always persevered to finish his scientific projects, like the core, and when his eyes turned purple, it shows how persevered he was to kill Bete Noire, he even showed no emotion.

Would explain how Gaster beat Betty, since I remember it's stated that fear is only beaten by determination, and vice-versa B. Funny bone man is determined to curb-stomp the child
