@@AntonioTheAnt timelines that go better/worse than the original timeline are ATs (ex:Dust, horror, killer, Geno) AUs are entirely different universes (ex:dreamtale, inktale?, underswap, etc)

Fun fact: incase you didnt see it in the video: Killer, Dust, and Horror, are all alternate timelines, not universes. Dust and Killer are pretty similar, but Horror is the result of the timeline where you Kill Asgore and leave the underworld without breaking the barrier, then just not resetting.

Same with killer, there is only Killer!Sans, no Papyrus or others. Killer is an alternative timeline, because there is no universe «Killertale». Maybe in fanon

Something people always forget in the genocide music videos is that when you kill papyrus, his entire body turns to dust, INCLUDING THE SCARF. So that means that Sans LITERALLY COULD NOT TAKE PAPYRUS'S SCARF, SINCE IT ALSO TURNED INTO DUST

In most cases you can tell whether a undertale character is from a alternate universe or a timeline alternate timelines have the same settings in the characters normally look the same but they may have differences alternate universes will have different personalities different outfits and sometimes different magic
