Spear of Justice is definitely one of the best tracks from Undertale. Whenever I hear it, I think of the phrase, "Undine suplexes a huge boulder, just because she can."
Spear of Justice, at least in my opinion, is probably the best track in Undertale. Personally, I prefer other tracks as my favorite music wise, but this one fits the character extremely well. Not to mention the fact that when I hear it, I actually get a small adrenaline rush, and, it actually fills me with *sigh* (sorry to say this) Determination. All of the songs in Undertale fit their place/person very well, but I think this one comes out on top
god, i don't understand why "wanna have a bad time" is such an overrated thing. like listen to it. "wanna have a bad time." seriously, does that sound like a good phrase? apparently for these people. I am so confused with these people. honestly, sans should've just shut up with that phrase. undyne is the only character i like honestly.
Oh baby this is BEAUTIFUL! listening with headphones makes it even better! When the song actually starts you get that wall of sound hitting you! How did I not hear this before?!
Whenever I here this cover, at the beginning, I picture Undyne giving her speech at the top of the mountain and then when it starts to build she cuts it with her "You know what, screw it line!" Line. Then finally before she the bass drop, she throws her spear at you, saying "Let's finish this!" In other words, this is fricken amazing!
I remember one time in class, my classmate (his name's Jason. Why is this important? You'll see later). He was humming this, and I recognized the tune. So I said "Hey, is that Spear of Justice?" And he said "No. It's Spear of Jason." ._.
I am so sorry that you are not getting the recognition you deserve. There is so much token shit out there that gets millions of views and these masterpieces go largely unnoticed. This is a youtube travesty. You are so much better at this than just about anyone I have ever heard try to do this before. Megalovania is my personal favorite. So everyone who sees this video and has a channel, do a shoutout!! Get people to see these masterpieces! Share it on social media, rise up, and make these epic masterpiece ring out loudly through the internet! LONG LIVE SULLY ORCHESTRATION!!!
I'm amazed. I never imagined Spear of Justice to be a song that can sound orchestral (?) without removing the badass mood the original has. But this, you did a great job. You might as well look forward to a new subscriber.
This extended version is basically what plays when you don't know how to "win" the battle against Undyne and the music just continues to repeat over...and over...and her viscious moves just become more frequent...and more viscious lmao.
This orchestration gets me so pumped up for battles in D&D. "I do hereby swear that justice will be done!!!" You sir/madam, are incredibly skilled in this. I've heard other 8-bit to orchestra pieces, and some of them either go too far or don't go far enough. This is balanced in a way that retains the original's structure while still transcending into something epic and battle worthy. Well done Sully Orchestration. Well done indeed!
And again... just wow. I'm really impressed. You're not just taking the notes and let a orchestra play them, you're making a real orchestration. That's something I really never saw on RU-vid for game soundtracks that are not orchestral already. Just, very very awesome. \*crying like a kid because it's just too awesome* :D
Really? That's the whole point of orchestration. Anyone can just take the notes and make them play instruments, but it takes real effort to make it sound like the song was MADE for orchestra.
Yep. That was just what I meant. You're not just taking the notes and putting them one-to-one into some orchestra, you're doing your own thing with the notes. Just like a real orchestration. What I often hear on RU-vid is not a real orchestration or maybe just bad ones that I don't want to reconize as orchestration. I don't know :D tl;dr: Your orchestrations just sound awesome like the pieces were composed for a orchestra and that's something I don't hear often for game soundtracks.
Sully Orchestration, this is insanely good. This reminds me a lot of the kind of music that I do at highschool. I've played in a lot of different pieces from all kinds of orchestras/bands and knowing that people like you can make something so incredible with such a small idea is beyond me. Whatever it is that you're doing, keep doing it. Im serious, maybe one day we will be able to perform such a grand piece and give it the SPEAR OF JUSTICE that it deserves. Because an audio piece is one thing, but a master piece like yours is a different story. Long story short, I love it and I hope that I will be able to play it and other pieces like it in the near future. Thankyou Sully Orchestration
Absolutely epic. Perfectly captures Undyne's intensity and over the top nature, as well as her nature of believing herself to be the great saviour of the underground with the almost heroic tone of the track.
m3melle3 I'm trying to make Battle Against a True Hero and it's... Actually much easier than I expected. It probably helps that I made it in GarageBand beforehand.
I know people say this a lot in this fandom, but this song fills me with determination. For real, it's like this particular song and some remixes such as this are the musical embodiment of determination.
if i knew this was uploaded on valentine's day last year i would have listened to this to get my mind off the loss of my mother as she died on valentine's day back in '96
This very well may be the best music video I have ever seen on youtube. Spear of Justice has always been on of my favorite Undertale songs, and this cover just (Deep Breath, Prepare for cringe,) fills me with DETERMINATION.
sully y u only got 4k subs bro ur amazing people should subscribe to u im typing this while doing my homework why am i commenting this when nobodies gonna read it anyway im wasting my time i should really get to work this is amazing
If there was a stand-alone Undyne game, Spear of Justice would only be teased through leitmotifs throughout the game, until this plays at the final boss, her full strength realised.
I got that same feeling. I think it may be because both characters are true heroes, but Undyne is a spear-wielding fish woman, and Captain America is a superhuman.
Dude, literally every time I hear your remixes I am absolutely blown away. Have you considered putting them on Spotify or something? More people need to hear this.
you mean 8D? imo it would sound better, but it has to be a conversion where the bass is boosted in that reverb-y kind of way, and not just having it circle around the audio
