Like all the monsters want the human to die and are angry at them continuing to live while Asgore understands that they don’t deserve it but he has to do it for his people
@@Jordan-ud4qv every non boss monster doesnt want you to die,hes just talking with magic, theres a book in the library in snowdin town that explains that
WAIT THAT'S JUST PIPE DREAMING AND WE NEED TO WAKE UP THE PEOPLE UNDERGROUND ARE SCREAMING THERE IS NO WAY UP! AND WHEN THIS FIGHT IS OVER WE WILL SEE THE SUN FOR TONIGHT THE MONSTERS HAVE WOOOOONNNNN
I truly feel bad for Asgore. After all the pain and suffering he's been through, losing his family for multiple reasons, he's all alone. He sits on his throne alone, he waits for the day to free his people alone, he's alone no matter what he does. He stands alone and now he will die alone.
In my opinion, Toriel is the second most evil character in the game after Flowey. Where Asgore faces his children’s death with resolve and purpose, Toriel faced it with abandonment and cowardice. She left the one person who needed her most and spends her time kidnapping and imprisoning humans who fall into the underground. She’s also a massive hypocrite, she says that Asgore should have taken one human soul, go the surface and take the rest. News flash Toriel, you’re a Boss Monster too, you could have done the exact same thing but no, she’s too much of a coward to save her people and instead calls Asgore pathetic for not doing something *she herself refuses to do.* I don’t get why people like her character so much, she’s self-righteous, narcissistic, selfish, cowardly, and evil. She kidnaps humans for her own selfish reasons instead of working through her trauma. Asgore does kill humans, but it is for a higher purpose and will bring happiness to his subjects, which is what all true rulers strive for. Asgore is the epitome of selflessness and duty. Whenever I play through Undertale, I always make sure to kill exclusively Toriel.
@@bezel95 Not to mention that hiding is arguably more pathetic than what Asgore did. Asgore actually committed to a plan to free his people while Toriel did the opposite and tried to keep seven children trapped.
I kinda miss the old top comment from the old version i sadly can't remember who wrote it but i do remember that it kinda goes like this So much blood So much pain I have stub My toe again
Asgore had the patience to wait for the humans to come to him for their death Asgore had the bravery to fight them all knowing one of them would die Asgore had the integrity to tell the humans the truth Asgore had the perseverance to always go through with the quest to break the barrier Asgore had the kindness to allow the humans to go back, even though it stopped his quest Asgore had the justice to be pushed to make the humans suffer the monsters fate And now Frisk has the determination to end the suffering Asgore and the monsters had to endure
@electricpepperoni4789 THIS THIS IS THE COMMENT I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!!! Your comment perfectly encapsulates everything that the King of Monsters and Ruler of the Underground ASGORE Dreemur stood for and symbolized! ❤️ Well Done!
@yuri they don't. The game is still owned by Toby Fox, the game is just on the switch via port: the same goes for Deltarune. Not owned by Nintendo, but on their software. The same can be applied for Fortnite: it's been ported onto the switch, but is still owned by Epic Games
I know all the talk about how this was taken down but I just want to say as much as we cry for azzy at the end of pacifist sometimes it feels like we forget it's the only route we can save ASGORE the only route he doesn't die At the end of the day this realization is one not talked about much
I like how the lyrics the crowd sings can occasionally be applied to both Frisk and ASGORE when they are vague. "The pain you have caused" "The friends you have left" "You broke all the laws" "No escaping death" "Did you change their lives?" "Did you make it worth it?" "Did you enjoy your time?" "We wish you could stay" "At least one more day" "Would that be okay?" "We cannot delay." All of these phrases apply both to Asgore and Frisk, spare the first, given it is a true pacifist route. Still, you could say Frisk does inflict a pain to Toriel by leaving her in the ruins. Asgore and Frisk have both left their friends, Frisk left the surface, and either one will die soon. As king, Asgore must ask if what he has done was worth the weight, if he even made change, if he would've rather chosen a different path, while Frisk inherently must ask these questions in their journey. Then, lastly, as the crowd sings about their remorse, they could speak both of the King and child, as either can't stay, and they yet know that this fight must happen now.
i think the first set of lines is meant to be for Asgore, referring to the pain he has caused either himself (cause the constant pain of regret for doing all of this), the other six children or Toriel (both of them having their obvious answers) the friends he has had to distance himself from, (Undyne the other royal guard memebers and, again, Toriel) the laws he has broken to come this far, and as for the line about no escape from death, he's well aware that every time a child has fallen down into the underground someone is bound to die by either his hand. or (if you take the Lyrics from Undyne's Video into account: the lyrics in question being "there were six who came before you, six humans who tried, to get past the royal guard, everyone of them died" ) one of the Members of the royal guard (most likely Undyne's doing as referenced by her mentioning that she knew frisk would come to the place they finally face off for her battle as "they all did, and they all fell") and now that frisk has made it to him, there is no escape from death, either frisk gives up, and dies for good, or frisk kills him and escapes through the barrier.
This is my favorite MOTI Undertale/Deltarune song, besides Chaos King. The only reason why I think this is worse than Chaos King is because Asgore’s voice fits for a younger version of himself, for one during the war. My favorite MOTI song is In The Final.
@@knuxenglish Fair guess, but no. It’s only the songs of the kings. I like Asgore’s friendly personality more than his kingly personality, but I love to see a knight in action.
I'm pretty sure boss monsters cannot die of old age unless they have a child. If the child dies, however, the boss monsters that had that child become immortal again.
@@fourthmatchflame Explain, please. Because, the way I see it, we have a compound word consisting of "Berg" -> Mountain and "Entrückung" -> "Rapture". Where does the King come from?
@@simon_magus65ad the term means "montein rapture" but thats only the literal translation. its also used to talk of the trope of the king in the montin, a hero who will one day return to save the nation, having emerged from the montian.
this whole thing is just chills its so good the chorus with the HAH and asgore singing oh my gosh HE SITS ON HIS THRONE, HE WAITS FOR THIS DAY HE HAS WAITED ALONE so banger
It’s really too bad someone copyrighted a remix of undertale music, really sad they repressed amazing music like this. If it’s money I figured deals are made for that stuff, and if it’s personal then why was it public to begin with? Just really unfortunate since there’s a lot more people that remix game songs than people that sing and sound good with original lyrics for a game soundtrack…well at least ppl loved it enough to reupload, y’all are a lifesaver XD
There is no truly evil person in Undertale. Chara and Flowey are bad becasue they have no soul. With a soul, they're a lot better, and we see this firsthand with Flowey/Asriel, so we can assume the same is with Chara. Sans is the opposite of evil; if anything, he's the hero of the Undertale Genocide route, because he's trying to stop the genocide Frisk is causing. Finally, Asgore isn't evil; he's aware that this is wrong, and he's doing it SOULly (rimshot) to free his people. He doesn't want to, but he has to. Nobody is truly evil; that is one of the messages that Undertale coveys to Frisk, the player, everyone.
narrator of the game is just chara, and her dialogues/narratings change depending on if you're on pacifist or genocide, adapting to both, basically feeds on whatever emotion you feel i assume so yeah theres no evil, just emptiness thats filled with whatever *you* do and flowey, yeah he himself explains the reasoning well enough for why he's not "evil" in his existence
I just realized asgore is fighting you without shoes, He litteraly has a cape longer than him, a set of armor probably made out of gold with his kingdom's symbol engraved into it, but shoes? Nah that's too much effort.
Pretty sure Bergentrückung is Mountain Rapture, or Excavation, But pretty sure Toby Fox used the Folklore meaning of Bergentrückung, which is "King asleep in mountain", That'd make more sense to me
They put so much effort into this, Made an entire remix, Got a whole chorus to sing about a goat dad, Created lyrics for a literal video game, And then RU-vid just said “no.”
From what I heard, it was taken down due to legal reasons... but I do not know the details on what those legal reasons where. It might be related to having to take down Metal Crusher and Metal Crusher reprise as well, but I don't know for sure.
I absolutely despise Nintendo for taking down what was the best song in Undertale the musical. They don’t even own the rights to the OST and thus made a false copyright claim.
I've heard that it was Falkkone who copyright striked the original video and few others but that is just hearsay and not conclusively proven so don't send hate to them for hearsay.
