+InspiraX1234 Actually if you didn't destroy the world (with a genocide run), then that won't happen (or the X'd picture if you decide not to follow Toriel). Doing a neutral run where you kill monsters will not cause this.
If you do your twelve pacifist runs, not including replaying the ending, with a genocide run you cut off after defeating sans (quitting before chara appears) you never sell your soul, so all is good!

I think it's cool that the descriptions under the monsters are yellow if you've "touched their lives" somehow. Kind of like how the special thanks names become yellow if you touch them, and how enemy names are yellow when you can spare them.

EYYYY SOMEONE ELSE NOTICED THAT- I came to Undertale to try and recover from my Omori trauma, so you can imagine my surprise when I saw Omocat in the credits of something that has been in my life for years. It’s like Omori has always been there in some way. I knew My Time years before Omori came out, Omocat and Toby worked together a bit, I saw the first Omori trailer without knowing. I can’t escape.

Virteris at the end, when toriel puts the pie down in the room and leaves, in 3 seconds frisk turns around with chara's face. this ending is the soulless pacifist ending, it means this person did the genocide route first and the pacifist route.

This is the best credits I have seen in a game. I love the little animations of each monster and the descriptions underneath each one (the minor characters, not sans, papyrus, undyne, alphys, mettaton, asgore, toriel and monster kid.) This makes me want to do the true pacifist again (I am currently on the genocide run.) I loved the special thanks too with the names flying.
I miss when I first saw this ending. Fourth grade. Age 9. I then proceeded to roleplay this route with my best friend at the time, who I’m still friends with, on the playground. I watched “Funny and sad Undertale comic dub” at 2 AM on the winter break. My first year staying up so late. I accepted Alphys and Undyne’s relationship despite not caring for it. (Dw I still do accept it) I played 2016 Roblox roleplays. I got into little fights with my old elementary school rival, who my favorite teacher of all time, who even went to my birthday party that year, had to break up. I was proud of myself for doing long division. I had a high opinion of my dad, who ended up buying me the game. I had barely shown any signs of depression, if any. I remember starting to feel different and say I had a “mild depression” (self diagnosis, I know, but later it turned out that I actually did end up having depression and had been developing it and just didn’t realize) around a year later. Things weren’t like they are now. Things were simpler. For the most part, I’m alright, I have medications and a therapist. I just miss the time. I’m sorry that this got really personal and emotional fast. I guess I’m just going to leave this here. To any of the tweens here- I’m sorry for sounding like a boomer. Remember that things are going to get not quite better or worse as you get older, but more complicated. So, even though life already isn’t simple, enjoy as much as you can.

I completed True Pacifist with almost every name yellow, except Ice Cap, because in order to make Ice Cap happy, you have to steal his hat and... stealing is wrong, so his name for me shall stay white!
But after stealing his hat you can then later compliment him. On telling that he just looks fine even without his hat. Then the game cuts it's dialogue to "ice doesn't mind it's identity anymore." I just wanted to let you know
In my opinion, this is the single greatest ending in any piece of media ever made. It is the ending that I judge all other endings against, and, whenever I'm feeling sad or down about something, I think about it to cheer myself up.
+Gabriella Conklin It's called "In My Way", it plays during the Monster Kid battle in the Genocide Route, and it's a slowed down version of "Anticipation".

Have you managed to beat the credits without hitting any names at all yet? That's how you get into the "Dev room" past the locked door in the cave just before Showdin ;) Not gonna lie, I used cheatengine to make the game think I didn't hit any cause the best I could manage legit was like 8 hits lool

+joeyghost You mean for the yellow names? Not all names will be yellow, because you have to spare each enemies in a specific way. Some are simple, others less. For example, Madjick, that you meet in the core, must be spared by staring at both his orbs. Even though talking to him allows you to spare him, it won't get his name yellow in the credits.
+joeyghost I did that, except for the extra monsters that aren't included in the credits. Aside from every result being yellow (all different from the white results, of course) nothing happened, as far as I know.
