@@TheRecklessBraveryto put it simply some people wanted the author to make sans x frisk canon but they refused so they were bullied into leaving, then people started claiming it was canon the whole time.
@@TheRecklessBravery Also adding on to what LichLord said, some people didn't like Sans x Frisk, but thought that's what the creators were trying to portray
Even 4 years later, when I was in my Undertale phase, still tells a story to me. The Flowerfell AU wasn't a Frans AU but it's supposed to be a story about being kind, no matter what happens. It still hurts me that the creator had to go through such hate over a damn ship, that wasn't even a ship at all. People need to understand that relationships aren't always romantic or sexual in a way. They can be platonic as well. This song is still beautiful. Thank you, Meltberry.
That is the reason I don’t like a lot of undertale AUs. Most of them just…don’t feel like Undertale to me. And the ships…I just want a platonic relationship . That being said, I think I’ll check this one out :)
i agree i used to ship frans and charisk and i just dont anymore i dont want to ship anything at all just because they are popular. the relationship between two people could also be friendship.
Nobody cares, if people wanna interpret it as a frans AU they are in all their right to do so, death of the author is a thing so if the author doesnt like it theyll have to suck it in.
@@jotsa in short, frisk and sans bond during their time in the underground, they go through the underground together while frisk is being taken over by flowers, frisk dies from the flowers and sans is mega sad for the full story just search up flowerfell, that’s what the au’s called
Did you know this song is based on the nursery rhyme “Mary Mary quite contrary, how does your garden grow? With silver bells and cobble shelves” and that nursery rhyme is actually based on queen Mary aka Bloody Mary and the silver bells and the cobble shelves are torturing devices :)
Fun fact : ring around the roses is about the black plague Ring around the roses (the red rings that covered plague victems) pocket full of posies (they carried flowers to ward of the smell of the dead) ashes ashes (they burned the bodies)we all fall down (everyone died)
Imagine people years from now listening to this not knowing the meaning behind it If Undertale is forgotten someday, it will be brought back to life again. Without a doubt.
I always wanted to get into this fandom because it seemed really big and that it had a lot of content but I could never seem to get myself to watch a full playthrough so I'll be that person what is this song about
Lyrics He said: Oh Mary Contrary, how does your garden grow. Come with me you’ll be the seventh maid in a row My answer was laughter, soft as a lowered my head. You’re too late, I’m afraid this flower’s already dead Resetting as I was with blossoms in full bloom (blossoms in full bloom) Never a chance to pause with magic to consume. (Magic to consume) A shadow walked behind me offering this hand But couldn’t understand He said: Oh Mary contrary, how does your garden grow Come with me and you’ll be the seventh maid in a row My answer was laughter, soft as I lowered my head You’re too late, I’m afraid this flower’s already dead (Music playing) Scattering petals down the road without an end (road without an end) Left on the battle ground for one I called my friend (I called my friend) Maybe he loved as he took me by the hand And tried to understand I said: Oh Mary contrary, how does your garden grow Stay with me, I can’t see anywhere that we could go Their answer was laughter, as darkness swallowed them up One more time, I’ll be fine sometimes kindness is enough Oh Mary contrary, how does your garden grow Don’t leave me, please don’t be the seventh maid in a row My answer a whisper, soft as he lowered his head Set them free, I’m sorry this flowers already dead.
What made me cry; At first, the lyrics were sung at a kind of low pitch. As if the singer was kind of saddened or indifferent. Nearing the end, the lyrics were sung at a higher pitch. To me, it sounded like maybe a cry of desperation... the wish to continue living... with the one she loved... I just lost it when I heard the lyrics and pitch change at the end
*+before video starts+* OK, prepare for a beautiful voice signing this, and get some tissues. *+after+* ...........................................................WHERE ARE THE TISSUES?!
I found your channel from the "His Theme" cover. I gotta say after listening to a few more covers you have a lovely voice. I hope you continue to make the quality covers!
Funfact! Flowerfell was never a Frans a.u, it was actually ment to be a father/child relationship but the Frans shippers over ran it with the ship. The creator does not ship it due to Frisk being a child and Sans being an adult, it was ment to show that strong bonds can be formed in a father child manner with a person who isn't biologically related to that person, that family doesn't have to biological and can always be chosen when it's the right person. In this case Sans providing a fatherly safe place for Frisk. The creator was very uncomfortable with people making this a romantic relationship.
I've never known, but I wished I had! I was uncomfortable with that idea and I never enjoyed it, and really, it has been five years and I just discovered it until now!
*Are you crying?* No! *I think you're cr-* IM NOT CRYING ;~; *But I can see your te-* IM NOT CRYING YOU'RE CRYING!!!!!!! *Aren't we all crying, dis song ish beatiful* Agreed, me. *:,)* :,)
Does anyone know where it's possible to read Flowerfell? Beautiful song, btw. I've had to have listened to it at least 50 times since I recently found it
It all got deleted because others were using it without permission and such. I think the Wiki said you could could still go somewhere to read it though. (And something about paying for it?)
Secret garden is also a book, “oh Mary, contrary how does your garden grow with silver bells and cockle shells and pretty maids all in a row.” yes, I’m sure that quote was in the song but it’s also a quote from a book where this kid in the book would laugh at a girl named Mary and sing that song I just quoted to mock and laugh at her when she was building smalls little gardens with sticks buried in the ground which would make Mary quite mad.
Context: FlowerFell is an undertale au but every time Frisk dies the timeline resets and when they return to life a golden flower grows on Frisk eyes like she said in the song "Stay with me, I can't see anywhere that we could go".The flowers could not be removed and it hurts Frisk despite the cruel nature of the characters in Flowerfell Frisk remains pacifist.Only Sans is aware that the timeline is being reset he and flowey are the only one that remeber's their memories when reset. After several times he has killed Frisk still showed him kindness ask Frisk says in the song "One more time, I'll be fine sometimes kindness is enough" as Frisk reset's again to try and save Flowerfell sans becuase she said "As darkness swallowed them up" as Frisk try to save Flowerfell sans Frisk died and din't reset becuase the flower in Frisk eyes is full and nowhere to be place (Correct me if im wrong) that's the story of FlowerFell.
My heart grows fond of the memories. And pains me to know with what happened. Creator of the Flowerfell Au. If you ever get to see this, please know you've written something beautiful which touched alot of hearts. You didn't deserve this! Thank you so much.
I lost this song for who knows how many years and completely forgot about it. I’ve been listening to Melt’s stuff for awhile now, and only just realized that she did my favorite cover of this song 😭
I have always debated with myself what got me into the undertale fandom. For me it was three sources. Glitchtale: found after listening to undertale stronger than you parodies and finding one where a pink girl not from undertale sings, thus making me curious. The thought movie and underplayer: two comics that appeared on my reccomended as dubs, which gave me awareness that more exists out there... And this song: found through your undertale covers I, like many other things, wondered what this song was. So, first I read secret garden Then I listened to a audiobook (basically) of flowerfell. This is probably what finally made me create a Tumblr account and find many other au's.
@@emadacic4593 Same here, kinda just saw a notification for Markiplier’s let’s play of undertale and thought the game looked cool enough to watch, little did I know I’d still think it’s one of my favourite games to date
I listened to this song when you first covered it and I thought "wow this goes hard but I don't really get the undertale connection" and today I got curious and read overgrow and now I can't stop crying when listening to this song (and the original)
DAMN IT, I NEVER WANTED TO LISTEN TO THIS SONG AGAIN AFTER THE FIRST 500 TIMES. BUT YOUR COVER IS SO GOOD. I both miss reading the original Overgrowth and am glad that I'll probably never have the chance to read it again unless I muster up the courage to buy it. Because good god, that AU made me freaking cry so much. Not even afraid to admit it. And this song is like the epitome of the sadness I felt while reading it. Like, Overgrowth is so sad that I never want to read it ever again. But it's also so good. The same as this song. Jeez...great cover though.
You know someone did a reading of it on here. The author didn't take it down due to the emotional support the youtuber got from reading overgrowth. They also read some of the other flowerfell cannon stories
FlowerFell is my favorite au, the creators got too much hate and they didn’t deserve it bc this is a very beautiful au. I’ll never stop loving this au bc it’s so depressing, but beautiful at the same time. It gives a warm, heartfelt story bc Chara died from the buttercup flowers. I love FlowerFell because it feels like it’s the reversed ending that frisk dies from the flowers instead of Chara. My ears will forever be blessed ..
The author didn't take down a reading of overgrowth on here due to some emotional problems the youtuber who read the fic was going through at the time. So you could always listen to their reading of it.
@@BRUH-pp2je the creator of flowerfell had their work reposted without credit dozens of times, fans of the au threatened them and harrassed them and sent them threats for so long that they snapped and deleted everything flowerfell related.
Chara was watching. With every hit, with every murder, with every gained EXP and everything the child did they felt growing anger indside. They cried into darkness. Everyone was fading away, just like them. There was nothing they could do. Just looking at everything the little murderer has done. When it was going to end? With every increasing number they felt like nothing. They felt nothing. When the time passed, Chara lost their hope. They stopped care. They lost their desire to live and stop them for killing the ones that they loved. Only feeling they had was despair anger. It felt like they're going to get insane. ,,Chara..? I can be helpful! J - just d - don't kill me!" She never forgot that face. And then, a massive feel took their body. The whole time watching was gone. They were here. In endless void, with their oponent. Chara smiled. It was hopeless smile. But madness was bigger than it. ,,Greetings. I am Chara."
Well bro the game don’t really show chara as a good person. there is always a choice. Even if chara see all the kills and hate, that don’t mean that you will also do that. Chara chose the path that she wanted. And became stronger that don’t mean that you will also become evil. Chara killed flowey with no emotion well in the end, we really cant justify chara as good.
ARYAN DEY The player chose genocide, not Chara, Chara was just in for the ride, she loved everyone of them, wouldn't seeing people you love drive you to madness. She just decided to finish what they started.
OW! Just got one-punched by a bunch of feels. Hurts, man. Anyway, Fantastic job! This is beautiful as always. By the way, that like:view ratio is... wow congrats

The song "Secret Garden" by EmpathP paints a vivid picture of a garden that represents the protagonist's inner turmoil and emotional state. The lyrics are filled with imagery of blooming flowers, petals scattering, and shadows that allude to the idea of beauty and growth, but also the fleeting nature of it. The opening lines, "Oh Mary, contrary how/does your garden grow?" sets the tone for the entire song, hinting at the fragility of the garden and the uncertainty of its growth. The repetition of the phrase "the seventh maid in a row" is especially intriguing, as it suggests a pattern of disappointment and failed relationships. The protagonist's initial response to the question is laughter, which could be interpreted as a defense mechanism or a sign of resignation. The line "You too late, I'm afraid, this flower's already dead" is a powerful statement that speaks to the theme of missed opportunities and the finality of death. As the song progresses, the imagery becomes more somber, with the petals scattering and the battle ground left behind. The reference to a "friend" adds a personal touch to the lyrics and highlights the idea of loss and betrayal. The protagonist's plea "Don't leave me, please don't/be the seventh maid in a row" is a poignant moment that encapsulates the theme of longing and the fear of being alone. The chorus concludes with the line "Set them free, I'm sorry, this flower's already dead" which is a poignant reflection on the protagonist's realization of their own emotional state and their inability to change it. The song is a powerful exploration of the human experience and the fragility of life. As the song progresses, the allusion to the game Among Us, a multiplayer game that is all about deception, is quite fitting as the protagonist is in a state of deception and betrayal. The protagonist is being deceived by the person he called friend, and just like in the game, the protagonist is trying to find out the truth and set things right, but he's too late. Furthermore, the reference to the breaking of femur bones is also a solid connection as it alludes to the fragility and vulnerability of the human body and the fleeting nature of life. The protagonist is going through an emotional turmoil, and this analogy is perfect to show how difficult and painful it is. All in all, "Secret Garden" is a powerful and evocative song that explores themes of growth, loss, and the fragility of life through vivid imagery and poignant lyrics. The song's connection to the game Among Us and the breaking of femur bones, though seemingly random, are solid and perfectly exemplify the message of the song.
listening to this after knowing about Flowerfell bring tears and her voice is just soooooooooo good it makes me feel like Frisk is actually singing jfc
Hello, I'm from 2019 and I'm here to tell you that you can't do it because if that would happened you would fight against both PewDiePie and T - Series Thank you and have a good day
I think that when it says 'the seventh maid in a row' its referring to how they only need one more soul, the seventh soul, and how Frisk's is the last one they need to break the barrier. But hey, that's just my interpretation and opinion.
Woah the nostalgia… I mean, I’ve never played Undertale but I remember, back in elementary school, seeing my friend on the verge of tears every time this song came up in her playlist lol
Flowey for the first time ever, LOOKS SO FRISKING CUTE!!!! And frisk looks as innocent as ever, the song and the picture match beautifully that I just might cry 😭❤🎵😇
"Sans.." "Promise me." "That no matter what happens.." "You’ll always be there for me..." "Please.." "Come back.." "I miss you.." "Please..." "...." * but nobody came * Edit: this is not originally my comment-it’s from a video that you may know Edit 2: it’s from a Parable and Exemplum MV here’s the vid- ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3fuDZ6jGJ2s.html
@@sunnisunn their girlfriend died, thats why flower fell is banned in almost all undertale amino, the creator didnt like how people use flowerfell sans, the aus was made for their dead girlfriend
@@GG-lk4xf no, thats not the case It's that the fanbase has demanded to make their fanfictions canon and sent death threats to the creator which put alot of pressure on them where they decided to block its development but that caused alot of hate on them
The story wasn't about Frans. It was about that no matter what Frisk would be nice and kind to everyone even if they'd die many times which would cause a new flower to bloom in their body with each reset. I don't know the actual full story but Frisk is in fact a child while Sans was a grown skeleton, and I highly assume they did not have a romantic relationship, but even in that case a platonic one. It just hurts to see how everyone interpret the story that isn't actual one.
THIS IS BEAUTIFUL... Everytime I hear this song I feel like ima cry because the creator deserved better... I love this song it makes me feel better about life
Idk a lot about Flowerfell yet but dang....what i do know is its sad and im frickin crying. How is that even possible.....i dont even know what actually happened in flowerfell... And u had a nice voice btw. U make the song sounds more emotional than the vocaloid tho. Good job
Its been 2 years since I last listened to this song, I went back to it for the nostalgia of a simpler time, and it still brings a tear to my eye... I can still sing it note for note...
I'm in the process of changing myself for the better. Only recently, I believed there wouldn't be a day where I wouldn't want to die. I'm starting to see only I can make myself happy. If I don't love myself, nobody will. I don't need friends, parents, not even lovers. I only need myself to live a fulfilling life. The most beautiful thing in life is the love you give yourself.
Already listened to not even the first minute and already fallen in the with it...your voice is so beautiful! And as always...I'm mind blown by how amazing this is!!
The insanity of these AUs. The sheer quality of the content, and followings larger than that of games that actually exist. And I am totally okay with it.
The first time I heard “you’re too late, I’m afraid this flowers already dead” I got massive chills. it’s just I should have seen it coming and it rhymes and fits in with the song and that makes it more I don’t know I’m just so happy that this line exists!
God I wish this was on Apple Music-this is absolutely gorgeous-I’ve listened to it while working on a certain animation and IT PUTS ME INTO THE FEELS AND I LOVE IT
you are telling me…this came out when i was 11, and im only now coming across this masterpiece…. it made me cry when i saw the au and listened to it again 😭😭
My brother and I, seperate locations, seperate countries, smelt coffee as soon as the piano started, the exact same smell of sweet coffee from an old coffee shop, and when the song ended, we both smelled tea bags. I love this song, a lot.
this is REALLY good, it's like hugs to my ears. do you use some type of voice filter thing? cause it's got this sort of echo thing to your voice. it's good though!
this song brings me so many good and bad memories. it helped me in a very dark era of my life, and even if this song is painful and melancholic, it always brought comfort to my heart, as if i could relate to the song. i always wondered what life would feel if i died, and yes i was certainly suicidal. i remember listening to this song for the first time, it made my heart so warm, as if it was meant to me. i always wondered if a flower would bloom in my grave, because my parents always called me lily (which is a flower). i remember one day, in a cold night, i was outside my house, looking at the stars. i was planning my suicide that night, and this song started, and once the line "please dont leave" played, it made my heart break and i fell down to my knees crying, and wondering where God was to help me bare with the immense pain i was feeling in my heart. i cried for at least 30 minutes, before giving up and going back home. nowadays i live the best life i could wish for, im in harmony with myself, i have a person who loves me the way i am, and supportive friends. i couldn't be happier. i have nothing else to say besides: thank you for making a cover of this song, its a huge blessing for me and im sure many other people feel the same way about it. this video is certainly old, but i will always remember it.
