Thanks for the review! Is it very slow to record RAW photos? Do you think that the speed of recording files can be improved by the firmware? Updating the camera will not make it faster? And if you use a very fast memory card? In advance I am grateful for the answer!
Hi Gideon, Hope this helps...The DC2000 starts, focuses, and captures an image in about 3.1 seconds. Autofocus is a little slow, requiring about 0.25-second to lock on to a target. Continuous shooting is only available in JPG mode, but is speedy at 6.2fps for up to 10 shots at a time. Switching to Raw capture slows things down considerably; even with a fast memory card you'll wait about 6 seconds between Raw shots. I was about to hit the "BUY" button, ... however, . greater than 6 second between shots in RAW!!!!! I couldn't live with that. I had a TG-4 that unfortunately failed shortly after purchase, had never got wet. I need RAW, Larger Sensor and a reasonable frame rate. I don't expect my D500 frame rate, .... but 6 seconds, .... Never! ... Perhaps the next time around.
