This is a nice comparison video. I appreciate your work. 6th Sense is definitely a quality product line. Highly recommend their lures for their quality. Honestly though I've begun to doubt all the importance of the "realism" on the paint job. I've made lures and caught fish with bottle caps, flat rocks, corks, and blocks of unpainted wood. I'm beginning to think that the beauty of a well painted, realistic looking lure is more about art form than it is about practicality. Nevertheless, I love 6th Sense lures. Good stuff!

The action and rattle are more important, but color is still important. There are colors I've never caught fish on like blaze orange or any blue color. Some crankbaits look good, but their action or sound just doesn't generate strikes. I've fished some of the models of Rapalas and fish won't touch them. But other models I have caught dozens to hundreds of fish on them. It's going to take a lot more than this video for me to ditch KVD square bills. Their action and sound just generates strikes.

I like how the 6th Sense Crush 50x has a little bit of action after the stop as it floats up. It moves side to side just a bit.

Good vidio i like kvd 1.5 been fishing it since they came out yrs ago .np problem at all with hooks.been fishing 6th sense this fall i like them no problem with the hooks.everybody fishes diffrent just my opion .6th sense paint jobs really good .i like both

It's sad but true KVD is a sales marketing deal for profit, and I've found what you say about 6THSENSE, they are Pure Quality, right outta the box, and work.. I use a dozen different styles of 6THSENSE now, including their jigs, swimjig S and hard baits . Love them.

Snatch Block Googan isn’t even close to 6th sense the designs are different the hooks are different and the colors are different. 6th sense also has 20+ colors for a lot of their baits

Completely agree with 6th Sense being the better lure. I've caught many bass on the KVD 1.5 but now, the 'go to' crank is the 6th Sense. 6th Sense is now overtaking bass caught. I still throw certain colors of 1.5's... The hooks on the 6th Sense are so sharp you will know as soon as you tie one on. You will feel the hook points by accident... 👍 For me, the 6th Sense has a tighter wobble compared to the Strike King KVD 1.5. The 6th Sense Crush 50X is the better lure.

great video yes they do look very close in action i use both but i love my 6th sense ones if you look very close the kvd has a little less wobble and floates straight up on a stop. the 6 has a tighter wobble and has a slight movement when floating up which gets more strikes but both are very close and fantastic baits

Straight retrieve they looked very similar. But on the stop and go, the KVD seemed to go deeper during the “go”. I’m giving the 6th A try.

2 great baits but as others have noted the quality of the 6th sense is superior. I use both but 6th sense are my go-to cranks. Crush 50x, 100x and especially the flat 75x which is my favorite.

I just ordered the axis baits. Those looked similar but I agree about the hooks. Ad the cost of good hooks and time and blood to put them on, the 6th sense is better. The new Axis will not retrieve in a straight line. Like to see you do a review on that please.

The only difference I noticed was the 6th sense wobbled the slightest bit after you stopped it. I could see that maybe triggering more bites than the kvd.🤷‍♂️ I've used both and prefer the 6th ONLY because of the hooks. When I use the kvd it's usually the 2.5.

Because they're mass-produced plastic. Bait mfgers will tell you they "hunt," but the only time you're going to get true hunting action is with either a wood bait or an old bait. The new baits are just manufactured way too consistently. If you want either of these baits (or really any other squarebill on the market today) to truly hunt, you're going to have to make it hunt. 6th sense sells a lot of pretty paint jobs but they're really not that special. Strike king aren't either. Also the most important thing about how either of these two plugs run is how they deflect off cover, which wasn't shown in the video.

Didn't see the 1.5 KVD hunting much but the 2.5 does. I have several of them and they all hunt right out the box and catch fish with just a straight retrieve. Heads up for those who think they won't work in small ponds.............they do. A one-pound bass can still inhale the whole thing.

Yeah nobody thinks about how KVD has won the most tournaments out of anybody with that crank but the 6th sense is better. 🤔 I personally have the most confidence in KVD

Thanks for posting - these underwater videos are always great. Seems like they are practically identical. Good job. One suggestion - try to refrain from talking while you are retrieving. You even say “not sure if you can hear it underwater” - you can but it’s not very loud. It’s harder if you are adding commentary at the same time.

Next time you do a comparison video get a buddy next to you and both of you cast at the same time so we can see a side by side comparison. Comparison and "this lure" Vs "that lure" videos with this method would be awesome. If this concept for videos blows up, feel free to hook a brother up with a nice Giveaway 😉

The treble hooks on KVD crankbait are absolute garbage. Same fish, same location. All the fish has to do was jump out of water for the hooks to come out TWICE!! I’m definitely changing the treble hooks

The KVD seemed to rattle sound more with the attached hooks. I have never understood why KVD would endorse a product with sub par hooks. I see where KVD wants you to upgrade to his Mustad hooks. Both excellent baits. The 2 dollars more for the 6th sense is worth the hooks.

In my opinion it's all about getting a bait in front of the fish... Lol I was once told by a old school dude that the lures are designed to catch people and their money vs catch fish

If you really wanted to do these cranks justice, they need to be filmed grinding bottom! Show some deflection characteristics by bringing them over cover, but that means putting rocks, logs and branches in mama’s pool!? If you aren’t hitting cover with a square bill, you aren’t Max’n your chances. JS
