Killing off Michael was the reason these movies started performing poorly, he was the whole reason for the first movie, I understand scheduling conflicts but they just killed him off, the first hybrid ever and he got killed by scientists🥴

A romance with David and Selene would have probably saved the franchise, the writers didn’t know what to do with Michael after Underworld 2 and it shows. The addition of David was a fresh start and the potential of Eve would have been great

It was the actor for Michael that didn’t want to return. Michael is Selenes one true love so I don’t think she was interested in David other then like a mother/sister.

It would've been better if he was Eve's love interest, they should've carried on with this new generation honestly, you are right, they didn't know what to do with Michael but it doesn't seem like they know what to do with Selene either, in the last two movies her story arch is very repetitive, I feel like they only keep her around because the actress is the director's wife, however, without Michael they should've let Selene die aswell, avenging her beloved or something, let Eve be the new protagonist she should've been the one to become an elder, alongside David and the white haired vampire, like can you imagine a hybrid leading the vampires and ending the fight against the lycans? That's Lucian's dream right there, and a huge middle finger to Viktor, what a missed oportunity

@@DarthKay093 it wasn't he didn't want to return, he was busy with other projects and the director decide to cut him out of the movie, and then kill his character in the next, I think he had issues with the actor having romantic scenes with his wife, aka the actress that plays Selene but don't quote me on that, what we do know is the actor has been asked if he would like to return and he said yes, if they call him

This whole movie was all kinds of dumb, vampires having a secret power up ritual by taking a cold bath? Super powerful hybrid Selene who is the strongest vampire at this point who is immune to the sun gets taken out by a little poison from some no name? Marius supposed to be different from the dude from awakening when really he is just the same lycan corvinus hybrid? The just progressively got worse in these last two movies.
