Funny hearing the discussion in this one about an elite that would reflect damage, and how it would be a terrible idea because after a few stages in a lot of runs you are dealing damage to many things outside of your control. And yet, Twisted elites.
I've been inspired lately to do my own eclipse climb, I'm down to just 3 characters, Captain, Mercenary, and REX. I've been saving rex for last on purpose but as I've been playing and learning there's a very good chance I'm going to decide Engineer or Artificer was harder.
Mod creators spend hours and hours play testing and balancing modded characters to ensure they 1: fit into ror and 2: aren’t broken overpowered. I commissioned, suggested changes and play tested the modded character Pantheon. I think he’s actually underpowered in some aspects and overall well balanced. Just a thought.
I feel quite the same about modded characters which is why there's really only two that I've kept in my modlist. Deputy and Rocket, and Deputy is probably the most balanced character mod that I actually enjoyed playing with. (Sorry Miner.)
Yes. As an Overwatch player for years, taking breaks when you're not feeling it is normal and necessary. For me, I have a rotation with OW, Fortnite, Risk of Rain, and Slay the Spire, which keeps all the games feeling fresh when I come back to them. Hope this helps!
if people are confused by ghost grandparents sun attack hurting them, i ask them one thing. do you think you can survive the unmatched power of the sun, regardless of which team the sun is on?
I think rocket would be a good character to play because he's not op and is even weaker than some of the vanilla survivors and has a bit of a high skill ceiling due to his gimmick. plus he's super fun like loader fun
Even after removing StarStorm 2 and MysticsItems (I heard this one also caused problems) it still broke during the crystal phase, and I'm not sure what to do about it. I've currently disabled Umbral Mithrix, because it's not possible for me currently since the crystals around the arena don't spawn in.
The solution is to disable more mods lol. If you used umbral with an otherwise vanilla mod profile it would work every time so obviously you're using some conflicting mod
What type of mods would be causing the conflicting problems? Like, is it AI altering based, item additions, character reworks, or should I just keep disabling mods until it works? If just disable until it works, I don't want to just be grinding several hours just to get to the moon each time lol
Use debug toolkit and tp to the moon with commands, give yourself items and test. Best thing you can do is stop using your giant list of mods though and start fresh with umbral, add a few mods at a time
question for comment section (and/or race if he sees this) when i eventually do my captain climb, should i stick to diablo or orbital probe? i LOVE diablo, but im not that skilled with it, and 1000% damage as my hardest hitting attack feels like a lame use of bands, even if its way way way more versatile
honestly, whatever you feel is most fun / comfortable - if you're looking to get better with Diablo particuarly for Mithrix, Cap_ has this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yYbn9eN0NAw.html
I'm never sure When to take plimp over AtG? would you consider it to always be an upgrade, or what other parameters do you consider? In my head i go back an forth between ATG is good on high attack speed because more procs and AtG is good on high dmg because better procs
Not sure what Race's opinion on this is but personally I think plasma shrimp is generally better all-round since it's a higher average damage increase (and you get an extra stack by picking it up) and it's more consistent (like on loader it'll proc on every punch instead of having to rely on the 10% chance which is pretty uncommon with a character like that). It's also worth noting that plasma shrimp is unaffected by proc coefficient as long as it's greater than 0, whereas AtG is. This means an item like polylute that has a proc coefficient of 0.2 has only a 1/50 chance of firing an AtG but a 100% chance to fire a plasma shrimp. There are a few situations where I think it's worth not picking up plasma shrimp though. AtG has a proc coefficient of 1 whereas plasma shrimp has a proc coefficient of 0.2 so AtGs can be better if you have a lot of proc items like sticky bombs or charged/molten perforators. AtG also benefits from clover but plasma shrimp does not so if you have a bunch of clovers AtG is usually better. I can't give an exact rule to follow since there are so many factors that affect it but generally: -It's never a bad idea to pick up plasma shrimp on stage 1 when you don't know what your build is gonna be, sometimes it'll turn out to be worse but usually it won't -Clovers make AtG better -Lots of sticky bombs and similar items make AtG better -Polylutes make plasma shrimp better
happiest mask is directly responsible for killing me by spawning a Beetle Guard and it having blocked my escape route and I got hit and died. So I absolutely detest Happiest Mask and think it's a trash item lmao
2:22 Ingition tank: Gain combust, charge up a Combust for your next attack causing an explosion that deals 200% damage and Ingites all targets hit. Increase Ingite's damage by 300% turning into a Greater burn.
You said in the video that you don't like overpowered characters but have you ever tried HIFUs rebalance mod? I feel that it does a good job rebalancing and even recontextualizing the characters
- Would be nice to get a card *Gets a card* - Would be nice to get a recycler *Gets a recycler* - Would be nice to get a clover, might get it in blue portal *Gets clover in blue portal* 🤔 Made Umbral look like a beetle with that build
@@slinkyyy4603 hey ik this thread is a couple weeks old but a mod on the Thunderstore called 'IconTuner' got released that will turn the in-game Eclipse icon gold, thought you'd wanna know
