Jeff scored 25 toxic personality traits during Dr Grande's assessment without breaking a sweat or even trying too hard. Probably one of his more notable achievements.
The murderer of the music teacher was no laughing matter, obviously, but that the offender couldn't play guitar was hilariously described by the Good Doctor: "He was known for 'moving his hands around the strings of an electric guitar', an activity he referred to as 'playing music'."
I hate it when I can't remember "stabbing activity". I can't imagine her daughter's feelings of guilt from bringing that nightmare right into their home.
I have little fantasies about being interrogated & threatened with a PG - just so I can laugh & say “you mean that pseudoscientific nonsense machine that’s equally as accurate as it is inaccurate, like a coin toss? Why not? They’re totally meaningless! Do you believe in psychics too??” (actually, what abt a lawyer)?
@@stephaniesmart Yeah it's crazy but still stupid,, I don't think Kyle actually saw the crime because he may have been nonverbal but he apparently ate and played with his stuff and went to the bathroom by himself so he mighta tried to intervene, seeing his mother being eliminated... that idiot Jeff was probably yelling or something besides the gunshots to scare the poor guy into staying in his room....
@@joanneentwistle7653 - he is so evil, & he deliberately targeted the most vulnerable! I hope some prison justice comes into play or that he is NEVER paroled.
It's a BS disclaimer and it's any content creator's prerogative to issue a BS disclaimer. I have no problem with even at a 101% BS level. Disclaimers create a workaround against rules/laws/cowardice which would presume to restrict peoples' right to speak their minds and our right to hear them speak their minds. In Dr. Grande's case, doctors aren't supposed to render a diagnosis absent a relationship with the subject of that diagnosis. Dr. Grande is informally diagnosing these lunatics in a way that normal people understand isn't the same as if he was assigned by a court, jail or prison to evaluate a defendant/inmate. His state's Ethical and Professional Standards Board really wouldn't like this content, but it's out of their hands due to his jerkoff disclaimer. Screw 'em. Our enjoyment trumps ethics. MINE does anyway.
I highly recommend listening to all the full length interviews with Jeff and the family members, it’s a crazy case. Unfortunately Bruce and Melinda were far too kind and trusting of Jeff.
Yeah but it’s so out of the norm to be a 100% liar and cheater (not to mention murderer). I don’t blame them for not being more suspicious, Jeff was really extreme and meticulous in his deceptive behaviour.
@@lewdachris7721 The cops will ALWAYS use bogus "lie detector tests" just the same as they'll always lie to suspects to try and get them to self snitch... The cops perhaps rightly say that any innocent person would jump to do the so called lie detector test, just on General principle however almost all lawyers say even if you're innocent not to take one because it's not scientific and it's not admissible anyway......
They're a good investigative tool insofar as police are allowed, per the SCOTUS, to lie. Family annihilator Chris Watts confessed after "failing a polygraph test". Cops can't lie in court under Oath, obviously; that would be Perjury, but they can lie to suspects to elicit a confession if there is evidence which would corroborate such a confession.
Jeff is right about being financially independent, he has no bills in prison. Thank you for another interesting video Dr. Grande! I hope he never gets out!
Lol I had to laugh out loud at Dr’s dis of Jeff’s character, never before has so many negative adjectives been used in the same sentence! And the cherry on the top: ”and EXCEEDINGLY CREEPY!”
I remember suggesting this case awhile back. It's pretty obvious Jeff wanted a free long term housing and free meals while doing some chores. He knew his time was running out where he needed to work, pay rent and provide for his wife and daughter.
@@austinwilliams3448 even if he took over the house. How was he going to provide for them? How was he going to afford property tax or even pay the electric bill. He may want all that short term. But subconsciously figured prison isn't so bad. Free food and shelter.
Very sad that her parents acted like her friend instead of being leery of her choice of partner. He was definitely allowed to be manipulative because of their lovely ooutlook on life. R.I.P. Melinda, I'm sorry you're not around to see your grandbabies grow up. 🙏
I appreciate the fact that Dr Grande never mentions a polygraph without referring to it as “a pseudoscientific nonsense machine” 😂 Points for consistency
He also had a sister and brother just like his fiancée, Anna. I do wonder what his family thought. I wonder if they were surprised? I guess he and his father got into physical fights.
@@TheBOG3 yea I realized later in the video he has a chance after 33 years....but he will be in there much longer than that. This type of nut never loses that compulsion which drives them.
@@frankpaya690 yea I commented too soon....but...what drives this antisocial behavior will never go away, and the parole board will be very well aware of that. He will be spending much more than 33 years in prison...maybe he will get out in his 70s or 80s, if he lives that long.
Try the interrogation of Michael Olson from Akron, Ohio. He raped and killed Mary Kay “Katie” Wohlfarth who was nearly 70 when he was 34 or 35. This happened at a storage facility. His interrogation is off the charts!📈
The only crime committed by Jeff’s future in-laws was letting him move into their house. Well, I guess not preventing their daughter from making a horrible mistake could be considered criminal too! Watch his interrogation and watch this killer deny he did it. It’s pathetic!
I grew up in a mobile home with holes in the floor. You may have modest beginnings too. I see the beautiful homes and lives of these people who commit savage acts and it puzzles me. Would they have been more cognizant of the fact that everyone deserves a fair chance at life had their own involved 🤏🏼 struggle? Say, having your cheap ugly coat taken away held up and laughed at on the public school bus or being unable to join hs band bc of poverty- things like this hurt but man I prefer it over being a dbag who doesn't appreciate life
"It's not where you come from, but where you end up, that matters". There are many who choose to be victims and sponges instead of overcoming anything. They are pathetic. Sorry about the dumb mean kids you endured. Well done on rising above and succeeding.
High school dropout doesn't bother me as much as unemployed, zero motivation to succeed in life even if that means working hard to achieve your goals. Many successful, intelligent people didn't finish high school but I understand the sentiment.
@@Rebecca-hc5ju im 100 on your side with your assessment here , lots of dumb hs graduates lots of smart nongraduates .as long as they have work ethic instilled to the point of daily performance and reward ,why judge ?
To be honest, I already knew about this case from MrBallen's podcast, but it's always nice to provide some context, like photos of the family and Jeff. It's a horrible case, obviously, this guy is both evil and completely idiotic- a very dangerous combination. RIP to Melinda
Check out the Michael Olson case in Akron. He killed Mary Kay “Katie” Wohlfarth. She was near 70 and he was 34/35. I don’t want to say what else he did. What the hell is going on In Ohio?!!!
I’m pretty sure I’ve met a couple of people that were like Jeff. I don’t understand at all how they get partners, and how sad for those unfortunate enough to fall for them.
That sounds like a big mistake in most cases to allow your son-in-law to live in your basement when he’s not even gainfully employed or employed at all. In some cases, it might be the right thing to do such as if they were ill or hurt themselves or they’re looking every day for a job
This one holds the all-time record for Dr. Grande descriptions of the criminal. Not sure if I've heard a "repulsive" label from him yet too, that one got a laugh.
I’ve heard this case be presented before but this is the best explanation I’ve heard for the events leading up to the murder. It makes far more sense that he created the prowler narrative and that in turn created heightened paranoia in the family than him somehow orchestrating all the ‘suspicious’ incidents the family reported over that year. Too many of the incidents the family reported involved people who didn’t match his description (like teenagers) or mildly unusual incidents where he was with at least one other family member. To me it seems straightforward that he wasn’t responsible for everything, and that the family was just hyper vigilant due to his lies and crimes, so they viewed any little thing as suspicious even when it was objectively quite innocuous. I’m not sure why other people think he somehow paid off other parties to do things, you’d think if he were so inclined he would pay them to act like prowlers rather than pay teens to act like dumb teenagers to frighten the family.
These parents were way too liberal with letting the UNMARRIED guy live in his basement and didn't connect all the bad incidents since that guy moved in. Girls: advice to you- demand marriage BEFORE getting pregnant.
And may not always be bad if the couples unmarried, but I think what matters more is the man has a job and it’s gainfully employed or if the woman wants to work and the man is taking care of the children, but one is not working at all and it’s completely healthy. That’s a very bad situation.
A Godless Nation… Sex before marriage. Welfare for those who don’t work. Everyone is a sinner in need of Jesus Christ not just Jeff. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 “Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; [a]neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate [by perversion], nor [b]those who participate in homosexuality, 10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers [whose words are used as weapons to abuse, insult, humiliate, intimidate, or slander], nor swindlers will inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you [before you believed]. But you were washed [by the atoning sacrifice of Christ], you were sanctified [set apart for God, and made holy], you were justified [declared free of guilt] in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the [Holy] Spirit of our God [the source of the believer’s new life and changed behavior].” No one is righteous not one we all need Jesus before we stand before the Judgment Seat of God… Who is Holy and Just and we are not!
That was one heck of a long list of adjectives to describe this piece of crap!!!! I love Dr. Grande's dry, witty sense of humor and his snarkiness is just wonderfully hilarious. Thanks Dr. Grande for great content!!
Jeff - the loser Anna - the fiancée Aurora - Anna's daughter Kyle - Anna's brother Megan - Anna's sister Bruce - Anna's father Melinda - Anna's mother/victim
@@GAshoneybearAt least YOU know how to spell Jeff’s daughter’s name. In his interview he only knew her approximate age and spelled her name Auora instead of Aurora.
