They say the career mode update was the final update before release, so I'm guessing they are aiming for late-spring to early summer release (mistake imo)
I don't mind the current pace and the current vibe. I've been curious about this game since you first started talking about it With the time length like is currently is, it's giving me very UFC career mode vibes. Keep it up man, a boxing game looks really fun
14:22 You knocked him out so hard his foot is coming out of his shoe! 🤣 Tbh, I've noticed some clipping happening with clothes in this game. (It happened a lot with Cassius' shorts in episode 1, too.) It may be an issue with rigging of clothes to the character rig and/or cloth simulations. Many games avoid this by deleting parts of the body mesh that should hidden by the clothes. In any case, it shouldn't be too hard to resolve by the official launch.
Shout out to Martial bringing back Undisputed. A lot of work needs to be put into this game still. Tbh im still gonna play it but imo this is a foundation game the second one is the one thatll be what we want… hopefully
You're glued to the floor because you haven't upgraded footwork enough I'm guessing. With this being your 2nd fight I think they probably intended this sluggishness
Game kinda reminds me of Ready 2 Rumble if anyone remembers that from like PS1 days 😂😂 i haven't played this but just how it looks, the punches not landing properly is a major problem, like that guy in the first being rocked and absorbing a ludicrous amount of hooks 😂
I have around 100 hours on this game now, have fun playing it for sure, but this is very far from being a boxing simulation game, especially online. Completely broken and full of dumb exploits. Animations are extremely sub par even for a small studio and this career mode already looks very dull and superficial to me. Will still play it, but the AI looks awful. First fight night game ever, released in 2004, has better and significantly more fluid punch animations than this game, and that's inexcusable no matter how 'small' this studio is. Can't even use the small studio excuse anymore though because they spent a shit ton of money on licenses and such. Nowadays we have indie devs making some crazy good games out there, this game just definitely flopped massively. Quick edit: For everyone that's still to this day using the excuse of "but it still hasn't released yet!", even though this is the last update before launch, keep living in denial. Been reading this exact same shit since the first trailers dropped. I know some of you try to be positive, but this is the exact reason why the gaming landscape is so fucked right now, you all have way too low expectations. Nothing significant is going to change on release, the game will be the same as it is now with minor differences which may not even necessarily be positive ones, and if you don't think this is the case then let me know cause I got some snake oil I wanna sell you. It makes me sad that people don't demand more for their hard earned money.
All it needs is better animations and punching systems, you ever play battlefront 2 at launch? Was bad when it came to dueling they added so many patches and changes it became super smooth and realistic they can do this with this game, IF they care which they most likely don’t
Ricky J I think unlocked the secret, well maybe not a secret, but a tip. He maxed his fighters height out so he could get the reach advantage. Then he tweaked his speed stats and his movement stats, and punch power. He knocked everyone! And he was playing on Undisputed.
Honestly seems like a somewhat sub par career mode honestly. Wish there was a career mode like how fight night champion was with it's story mode and all feels like a typical sort of EA story mode just with a different dev. Think it's gonna be a pass for me.
Dude. EA made that possible it's because they have the resources and time to make cutscenes and story mode. Still the career mode here is great for me. Maybe they could add some voice-over next time not just letting us read the whole long texts lol xD
You need to train something other than punch speed. That's probably why you still feel slow on your feet. Also ... Martial: Tell me why ... Me: ... ain't nothin' but a heart ache
if there is not training games I'm not buying it. I use to box and the true work of it was training. Give me the basics. Heavy Bag, Jump Rope, Sparring, Shuttle Run, Weights, Mitts. Even Don King Boxing had stuff.
I see some people trashing the game, and while I agree with some things, there are also some points I don't. Let's start by saying this: it looks superficial. UFC doesn’t have the ability to manage your team, and Fight Night hasn't had it since Round 3 (correct me if I’m wrong). I agree with the point about the game not living up to expectations, but I don’t understand how you can judge a career mode when you haven’t even played it yet. So, as far as I’m concerned, that's an "I'll believe it when I have my hands on it" situation, innocent until proven guilty. Now, the argument that this game is not as good as Fight Night-Fight Night is a complete game and had the backbone of the Knockout Kings series. This is SCI’s first boxing game, and I already have more fun with it than Fight Night. Raise your hand if you actually have a PC or gaming laptop. The reason you don’t like the feel of the game is that when you’re in regular footwork, your character has to shift weight. This is why many of you stay in loose footwork, because it feels more like Fight Night. And of course, the career AI is sluggish right now. These content creators are in the early stages of their careers, so they’re at the bottom. Now, the graphics have downgraded, I will say that. This game is also being rushed because people keep asking, “When’s the console release?” I don’t want to hear you saying it should have stayed in early access once console players do play the game. But unfortunately, it looks like this game will be another example of a rushed game because of pressure on the developers. This game is not ready for full release, like they are planning. They can’t seriously think it’s ready for full release. But that’s all I have to say; everyone can have their own opinions. I hope you all have a great day!
Double jab and throw the straight. It will throw off your opponent’s rhythm. All of your opponents are leading with hooks and uppercuts the jab is the quickest way to slow that down.
@@MartialMind I've found that if you throw the appropriate hand for the slip you're using, it's much more responsive. For example, if your character slips left, left hooks will come out anytime during the slip animation, getting rid of the problem you mentioned with the head returning centerline!
My only criticisms for that first fight, is when you had him rocked you were head hunting too much should of mixed in some body shots to get him to drop his hands. I also notice you still fight as if its MMA and need to shift your strategy or whatever more towards actual boxing and utilize the free movement more. Use the jab a bit more and land more on the end of your strikes dont be in the pocket so much.
When you rocked the guy with the grey gloves he went stiff as hell. If you rock a fighter and start trying to get the finish and you're smashing him, even if you're landing on his gloves he should be wobbling and moving and not just stood rock solid and not moving at all. It just looks ridiculous and definitely needs to be fixed in my opinion. If he's rocked like that, he should move and if he gets hit ge should react and hus head should get knocked about a bit. There was litteraly a moment where you rocked him and started smashing him and he was just leaning back with a high guard, stiff as a bone. No reactions to your punches and no movement.
when you get the rock if you go to the body to make him drop his gaurd then go back up top you would knock him out fast rather than spaming hooks to the head that he is blocking
I bought this game on pc 1 years ago still in eary alpha my pc broke few weeks ago and I can't play for a little while now there's a few things I don't like about the game still but I want to play and can't you should do longer videos I really enjoy watching them
Games is improving a little. Magnetic field in the pocket sounds concerning and I still think they messed up the movement somehow from day 1. Punches also could look better. Still would love to get this on console
something tells me that the magnetism in the pocket was created for hit detection purposes. These games live and die by hit detection, so I can see why they made such a compromise
they need to work more on body models, they need body presets like the ufc games. Also it shouldn’t take 50 punches to drop someone after you rock them. The animations for punches are a little sloppy and shaky, but it looks like a fun game and like an in depth interesting career mode. 👍
Same opinion again... Training, although pretty good options is resorted to just txt and simulation whereas older games did all them mini games.. Given this is still in Early Access, for us who bought the game, it is expected that they work on it... Also didn't like the gym fights, kinda break a bit the immersion, we could do with a few toilet venues to show how the beginning of a career unfolds from cheap organisers to the pros... cheers for the vid...
