This I think was truly the beginning of the end for Skip and Shannon. Baker was just the underlying tone. The real reason was for every debate involving Baker, Skip always and only brings up his rookie year, 11 games in 2020 and a playoff game. Every. Damn. Time. Then he tells Shannon not to talk about the past and interrupts him while he’s talking but doesn’t expect the same in return. Shannon brought a new argument everyday why Baker wasn’t that great and Skip rehashed the same talking points FOR YEARS. You can see he’s fed up with it. I remember watching this when it aired and went away thinking, "Shannon is just tired of talking about Baker Mayfield". They were doing multiple segments on this when it was pointless to do so. There were more interesting, important topics to talk about and they kept going to this. I don't blame Shannon at all.
