Dan, I've been watching your videos and I'm impressed by the effort you are making to genuinely integrate into Quebec culture and to live fully in your chosen environment. Too many anglophones who've come to Montreal are content with only a superficial acquaintance with the local culture, treating it as an ambient background while they live in their english bubble. You have made good progress in your metaphorical journey. Continue to apply yourself and you will become more and more fluent. I ought to know, coming from the American Midwest about 1,000 kilometres south of Manitoba. Vous vous débrouillez bien en français! C'est pas facile, mais ça vaut la peine!
Bravo pour ton français, Dan ! J’adore t’entendre t’exprimer dans toutes les langues. Tu as une belle façon naturelle de penser et de réfléchir dans tes vidéos. Je suis d’accord avec tes réalisations sur la mondialisation menée par l’anglais, ainsi que le metaphor avec le vélo et l’apprentissage d’une langue étrangère. Dan, what I admire so much about you is that you aren’t afraid to try to speak a language. Many people (like me!) allow the fear of making mistakes to hold them back. Big thumbs up!!
Dan ton français est vraiment bon... mais ton attitude et ta gentillesse sont encore meilleur... Il faut se rappeler, pour être québécois... ce n'est pas une question de naissance, et même de langue... c'est simplement vouloir vivre ici... Merci et bravo.
Lorsqu'on parle plusieurs langues, on s'ouvre à plusieurs culture et change notre façon de voir les choses. We should all learn more than one language and your videos are an excellent proof of that. You're doing great.

Hey Dan, as an anglo who speaks French, from the west island where I could get by without speaking French ever, I think it is a great idea for you to do one of these a month.
"Faire du velo" was the term you were looking for, I believe. I just moved to Montreal in October and have been taking the government funded French classes and was so excited that I understood pretty much everything you were saying!
I have no idea about what you were saying. I could barely recognize a few words that, kind of, resemble their equivalents in English and Spanish. Learning French is not that easy either but I've noticed you already master it and that's incredible to know. I wish I could understand you in another language. Hope you're doing great. Lâche pas la patate, c'est difficile mais ça vaut la peine parler les deux langues de montréal, et encore plus si tu sors de la ville pour voir le restant de la province. Le plus tu pratique le mieux tel que tu as dit!
