This is better than dubbed. She gave more and we dont hear some of the melismata on dubbed. I dont get why her concerts are dubbed,especially in her prime..
Perfectionism and also for the guarantee of a perfect clear sound. They lower the crowd noise etc. But the dubbing is almost unnecessary since those vocals are just out of this planet. That voice could do no wrong.
i think its because tommy and mariah had problem in 94 - they ended up in 96(?) so tommy paid the "dubbing" team to make it worser than the original(?) *it just my my opinion btw*
This is such a vocal treat. Ugh. Say what you want about Mariah now but you cant deny she really did her job. She can completely stop singing and the world can be ok because she's given us so many treats, she's legendary. Like.. I can't
2:32 - 3:29 she really deserves to be called a “ Songbird Supreme “. This undubbed performance was insane, touching and breathtaking. I never expect this one could make me feel like i’ve never been. Her soul, her heavenly voice, her overwork by every single notes made this more emotional and tormented, i really feel her through this one. Thank you Mariah Carey, you’ve been an ever ever lengend women, a greatest vocalist of all time!
3:40 She knew that her voice was being over worked. She needed to rest but to be honest she had no power over her voice because that was the time when other people made decisions for Mariah and she just had to go along with it. In 2002 on the oprah winery show she said that she had a hard time to say NO! so she over worked herself and her voice because she had no choice. I think she was scared or something or probably she didnt want to disappoint her fans. You know......its because of us she kept on using her voice until it was damaged. And in return she got so many criticism for not being able to sing like she used to. Some fans....ha, not even knowing that because of us she damaged her voice. Its the sad truth. 😔❤️
She said that she always felt that she was blessed and that If she doesn't try twice as hard as everyone else that her blessing could be pulled away from her.

samir ali sad but true. Mariah's voice was definitely one of the few amazingly beautiful voices that this world has heard but she definitely was overworked and that put a big strain on it.

Master class in singing. Massive emotion and technical prowess all together at once. Unbelievable. I prefer it to the dubbed actually coz all the big long powerful notes are still there and u get to hear exactly wot it was like, though it would've been even louder live
satanáries when u know u overworked yourself. the pain inside vocal chord try to tell u to stop/rest but u have to keep on belting, giving everything u have, trying hard as twice as other to please your fan its sad and make us lambs love her even more than the unconditional love she has always given to her fans

@@aaronREfan I do believe that’s what’s running through her head. She was unsatisfied with the performance and is realizing her voice is changing amid a new album tour that doesn’t suit her ever changing voice. She knows she can do it but the constant working and misuse of her muscle caused it to strain and not deliver 100%. Over time and very rapidly her voice broke down and is what it is today, still beautiful but not as clear and as diverse sadly.
Sapna Salar her lower notes struggled, she was slowly getting vocal damage after 1993. She choose to sing lighter and supersonic and so when u constantly stay in a register that isnt "neutal" u sustain even more damage, which is wat happened in 1997.
They really should release the undubbed version in HQ! It's so much better than the dubbed performance. Mariah's vocals are MIND BLOWING. Forever Queen

We all miss this Mariah, she has a gift, it must be sad for her to watch this videos and remember when her voice was an AK47, her vocal chords were handmade by god.
This version is so far superior to the dubbed version it's ridiculous. The dubbed version is my least favorite performance of this song, and this is easily one of my favorites.
I love when she does the little twist on "give" at 1:34 and 2:23 and 2:40 .. she did it in her 1994 performances too, but it sounds a lot better in this one.

This makes me so sad 😔 What happened to her beautiful voice? She was such a goddess with such an impeccable amount of class. Mariah definitely isn't the singer she once was. I know she's much older and has toured so much that her voice is bound to be tired, but I bet it makes Mariah very sad too. Her voice has majorly deteriorated 😔
