I remember most of my engineering professors asked us to mug up big formulas and never explained how these formulas were developed. Then I did a masters in US, and the difference between the level of education is clear! In US they explain the reasons behind every phenomenon, in exams we were allowed to bring a sheet of formulas so that we don't waste time in mugging them up, rather understand the logic. The question papers are logical, and it does not matter how much you write, if your answer doesn't make sense, you don't get marks. Edit: also Indian institutes don't focus on practical knowledge which is the main focus in the institutions of developed countries.
The government really doesn’t help cause they have taken away funding for education and most of the funding they use are actually for primary schools....I had a really smart friend with amazing potential but his parents couldn’t afford the high class studying so they put him in a middle class university and he didn’t turn out well because the syllabus was SHIT. I really feel bad for him

This guy is telling the truth. I was a BSc computer science student, and wanted to be a coder in IT company. Unfortunately I didn't get any job for 1.5 year, and gave up and went for DATA ENTRY(DE). Even when I was searching job, I was constantly learning coding. After that I left DE and started doing MSc. Computer Science. Then there was an internship that I had to complete. That was really life-changing. Now I am a coder in australian IT company. It was a real struggle but it was worth it all thanks to what I did. Back then, when I was doing internship, I thought to myself "This is my chance to learn as many things as quickly as possible." I already knew that facebook, whatsapp is distraction. So I kept them aside. Took help from youtube to code and created my own style, build my skills. I learnt that we had to make smart choices, stop falling for any relationships, avoid fake things and do hard work even when things are not going well. Because I knew that there will be a day when my parents will ask me for help, then I must be capable of it. I am vary proud of myself.

Engineering was an issue always, the curriculum the faculty all are outdated. They force us to sit in the lectures which hold zero importance in today's world. If we try to learn something else, they will not spare us time to do so. Assignments, midterms, attendance, etc will never allow us to learn anything new. The first step to curb this problem is to first do the scrutiny of the colleges and expelling all those teachers who are good for nothing. There should be an anonymous survey conducted by the government to get an honest picture of what is happening in the colleges. And this does not stop here, there is academic staff in the college which also torments the student to their core. If you want some document to apply for some job/internship, the staff will make sure you get enough suffering before your work is done. The faculty members have also graduated from the same college or even worse college and then by some hook and crook they come back to teach there. Now when they studied from the college which doesn't have basic facilities, what are they supposed to teach us. But this incapability does not stop them from showing off their ego. They keep on torturing students, maybe they sort of enjoy it. Lastly, I want to say that this is not the case with my college, almost every college which falls in tier2/3 have more or less the same conditions. Students are frustrated, destroyed. Maybe not all of them commit suicide but their life is no good than the student who does so. To solve this problem we need good teaching faculties and a good supporting staff. Also, there should be some administration body which keeps an eye on the functioning of the college. And there are almost 50% of the colleges which are no longer needed and they should be shut down. This might increase unemployability in some thousand faculty members but will prevent tens of thousands of new engineering graduates who will contribute to the unemployability in the years to come.

One of the main causes of unemployment is overpopulation. We need to educate people about contraception and proper sex education but unfortunately it's still a taboo in rural India.
Overpopulation is a fact, and sex education, gender relations all are important. That isn't a solution in itself, though it'll slow down the growth rate. We are already ~1.3 billion, we need infrastructure upheaval, along with those thing you've mentioned. Right now, our situation is like Mumbai's sewage system.

He is absolutely right guys ,I am good example of that . I got job as a Asp..net developer after 3 years of gap (not a single line of code in that time) .It took me only 6 months to revamp my skills. Thing you need to keep in mind 1. Think about how you will cover the gap in interview. Speak of only those thing on which you can reflect they catch on lies .Meaning If you were ill tell them ill ,used to take home tutions tell them right away . 2. Find a way to make this gap in your career as positive point. Tell them how it taught you hardships of earning and value of money and how it helped you to grow up as a human being or how now that all is sorted out you find yourself more upbeat and ready to take the challenge. Remember they are human too and they will at least give you a chance if you appeared genuine to them. 3. RESEARCH ON MARKET FIND OUT WHAT IT DEMANDS AND WHAT YOU WANT TO GIVE IT TO. MOST IMPORTANT !! because this is what that will get you a job. They dont even give a damn about what you were in past if you can deliver what they want you are in. 4.WHEN ASKED ABOUT TELL ME ABOUT YOUR SELF DONT START TELLING YOUR FAMILY STORY WITH A BRISK INTRODUCTION TO WHO YOU ARE START WHAT YOU BRING TO COMPANY AND TALK MORE ABOUT THE SKILLS YOU HAVE PREPARED ON. I think there are several reason behind Most of the engineers are unemployed in India because the engineer who completed his engineering having no skill or not upto the mark. So most of the companies reduces freshers placement. For this situation of unemployment most probably our Indian educational system is responsible . 1. In our country thousands of engineering colleges are available today but very few of them having capabilities to produce a well formed of engineers. 2. Very few teachers /lecturers in college able to demonstrate the real face of engineering. Most of teachers(Not all) don't having the conceptual clarity of subject so he/she is not able to teach the real world of engineering . 3. So Students not taking the engineering seriously because they don't know the actual meaning of their subjects/syllabus. 4.Most of the colleges are focusing on their infrastructures and other things instead of focusing on a well versed faculty at college campus. SYLLABUS 5. Engineering is totally connected with technology. In today's era the technology is developing rapidly in each and every sector. So according to that Engineering Syllabus should improve day by day. 6. Syllabus should have more focus on real life engineering instead of theoretical. 3. Most of the pass out engineers(not all)of our country having distinction in there degree but failed to apply real life engineering because didn't know the application of that theory. 4.Aplications are present in Syllabus but students failed because in college no one is there to teach you how to apply it in real life engineering. And obviously Students also responsible 1. Most of students doing engineering just because there parents wants. 2. The Myth 'ONE NIGHT STUDY' leads most of the unskilled ( RATTA ENGINEERS) (yeah, there are few brilliant student also who having that capabilities to conquer engineering in one night study , not all) This is just my opinion about the unemployment in our country .

IIT se Mechanical mei graduate hua, PG bhi wahi se kiya ab prof bol rahe ki doctorate bhi kar le. Mei usi college mei lab technician ban gaya. Sahu bolta hu, apne hi college se nafrat ho gayi hai. Jis detail mei padhate hain, lagta hai professor bana rahe hain. P.S. 5 saal ki age se engineering ka sapna tha. German seekhi India mei technical job ke liye, sabne bola germany jaa kar ms kar le shayad job bhi mil jaye. Job ka kuch nai hai, sab bol rahe hain bahar jaa kar padh aur job le le.
All India comparisons of medical college's in my state Karnataka is top ONE, Total no of medical college's in Bangalore Alone is equivalent to medical college's in UP./BIHAR.
A advice from me to be employed.. with out any degree and experience.. Try your luck in politics... politician are not able to create jobs so take of there jobs and make them unemployment...they will understand the pain... Politician jobs will never end....even in automation and till humans survive......
