Buc-ee's the horse that Jami and Lester own is named after the Buc-ee's that they picked him up at. They recently discovered that he is a highly trained cattle horse. Watching him work ; I would go so far to say that he is a cutting horse. Also they are building a Buc-ee's in Goodyear Arizona and I can hardly wait!! Everyone thinks I'm a crazy lady but, just you wait and see.😎🌵

I have a Chow Chow, the hair is never ending!! That was a nice road trip, especially the drive through the forest. I hate driving, especially in cities, I get so anxious so that was nice to just tag along with you haha. I have to get CEs for my social work license here in NY, I try to do virtual ones when I can🤣 Those longhorn statues were neat, Jami and Lester took a road trip awhile back to somewhere with longhorn statues, I wonder if it was the same place!

Your drive through the National Park was gorgeous! Sounds like your time for learning was inspirational as well. I have seen the Wild Mustangs at Los Colinas, Texas which I thought were amazing. This park honoring the Cowboys and the Cattle Drives were beautiful. I loved how The messages on the steps told their story. Thanks for bringing me along!

YES!! Buc-ees is named after the travel shop chain!!! I'm a lil surprised you didn't know that yet, lol Watching the revelation was quite cute though so I'm glad you didn't know yet! 🙂 That park was an awesome find! There's one with Mustangs in Irving Texas called "Mustangs of Las Colinas" If you get a chance to go see it you should the sculptures are beautiful! You would love seeing them but it's not quite as nice as this one with nature woven into it! I saw the Mustangs in '08 or '09.

I believe Buckees is a cutting horse. Jaime and Lester had a video where he showed how to get a longhorn to load up. It was awesome to see a one eyed horse work.

This was a really fun video! Thank you for sharing your trip with us. I thoroughly enjoyed the history lesson. My husband is a cowboy through and through. He's ridden the trails, bellied up to the fire for a chuckwagon meal, eaten the trail dust, you name it. It's a rough, lonely world out there. Your meal looked amazing! As others have mentioned, when Jami and Lester got Buc-ee's, they did the meet-up at a Buc-ee's parking lot so they decided to name him Buc-ee's. Have a blessed 4th of July, Dr Baker!

So excited for your trip; I’m in Seattle, love the stops along your trip, I expected a Big Foot to run out of that Forest & flag you down for a quick adjustment - LOL Your tour was fun reading engravings on stones, slabs, steps… For as squeamish as you were to be in a city with so many people, worked out so well learning new things…exciting trip, great park with sculptures & history…a great trip - OH MY, that ramen menu…I’m 72 & LOVE my ‘training chopsticks’ I got on Amazon - giggle…Jami & Lester have taken us all to Buckees a few times now - I would need a battery-operated riding shopping cart with so many people shopping there…

Your drive was really pretty. People are so lucky that you are willing to drive distances to care for animals and people. I think Buccee came with his name when he was rescued or rehomed with Lester and Jami.
