I use WD-42. It is slightly improved, BUT is the answer to life the universe and everything.

If it doesn't move and should, WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, duct tape.

Worked as a tech in the CF on CH-135 Twin Huey helos for a couple postings. They feature a PT6T twin pack of 2xPT6 engines mated to a combining gearbox delivering power to the main transmission driving the rotor. Nifty setup but could be hard to work on since space was tight with them installed. If not mistaken the replacement Griffons currently in service run the same twin pack. Looks like they just added a couple rotor blades to the Twin Huey lol. Had a quick look at the website selling the model. Don't think I'd spend the money for one but if it's free, sure haha. They have a video of the assembled model running & it looks pretty hokey to me to be honest. A couple of the turbine wheels wobble visibly, not a good sign of any kind of quality for the money. Maybe you'll be lucky & yours runs smoother. Didn't look to me like the output shaft was turning in the video so your idea of adding a propeller could be a challenge. Happy building. ;)

Very cool! I built one of their V8 model engines some time ago was a great experience although I neglected it for too long so it's currently not operational.

It is a balmy 10°F (-12°C) in West Texas and got down to 6 (-14) last night, so, yes, he!! has officially frozen over. Could use a turbine test fire or two to make the garage remotely tolerable. Had to move all my epoxies and coatings into the house to keep them from ruin.

That's great you are so lucky I have been hunting for engine miniatures 4 years now I see that name on the stand but I have learnt there are big import taxes from the US to the UK A pt6 I would love that You may work on the j47 arenda turbojet but I have learnt a great deal about other engines from yourself I'm going to try and get one no matter what I hope the name leads me to a purchase

Why didn't you use the video showing you building the engine? You could make cuts and time lapse. Then fire it up in the test cell.
