I'm not sure where you are coming from, but I wish you well. Thank you so much for what you have done for Ardour in particular and open source in general. I think you have helped many creators and you should be proud of that.
Yeah, I think didn't notice it so clearly while I was going, because I was so focused, but I started seeing stuff is starting to come together nicely :)
Unfaaaaaaaaaa!!!! My Ardour is not crashing I made a cook movie score for IFMS competition without single issue. Moog Mavis live recording and many instruments in one session yay
Great performance! Can't wait to see more live performance livestreams stuff! But I don't really understand why it was only 10 minutes long? Parties and live shows usually last longer than that. And at the end, it sounds like there is only one person there. Sounds like she is talking about a smoke machine, so must be an organisator. Was it a test run for a future real and big party?
I explain everything in the captions on top of the video :) TL;DR: This was in my home, and yes there was one person on the party - my wife :) It was short because it was the first attempt, and I didn't have much material yet. This was recorded in our living room.
@@unfa00 @unfa00 Oh wow! I took the message at the end too literally. 😂I get it now. It looks very professional for a living room party! Can't wait for the livestreams. Talking about livestreams, do you know a way to get notifications on phone or PC for RU-vid livestreams without having the mobile RU-vid app? I run LineageOS, so I can't and don't want to do that. I wouldn't want to miss it!
I'm not sure, I usually ping everyone in my community before I go live. So I'd you use Rocket.Chat or Discord these should be able to get you notified.
irado, Ta muito bom para o primeiro set!! unfa, are you using arduor for cue the aprs synth? it's remarkable only use open source software to party like this! Would be cool to have a video showing your setup of your live rig! i love the way and spirit you do things!
Hey, thanks :) I explain a bit in the captions on top - this is done 100% inside BespokeSynth. I couldn't get Ardours CueClips working and I decided to try Bespoke instead since that seems to work well. And I love it! It's completely different from anything else I've tried so far.
Awesome mate 👏🏻🙏🏻 I am curious to set up a 100% linux rig myself but I struggle with the Jack thingys 😅 I produce on a pc with pc(curseword I know) but I want to give linux a try. AVlinux, is that better than Ubuntu Studio?
I think AV Linux and Ubuntu Studio have the same or similar capabilities and differ on other matters. I use AV Linux because I can use it without systemd (it is based on MX Linux, which is based on Debian). Ubuntu Studio is based on, well, you know. There are probably also differences with philosophy behind each distro as well. Otherwise I reckon give both a spin and see what you like better.
I went for AV Linux because I know it's built to be optimized for RT audio, lightweight and reliable, having a solid basis. And man - MX Linux had some incredible tools that make maintenance much faster. Which also means I could fix a problem easier. Or just keep a known working bootable copy on a USB stick and use that! Ubuntu Studio seems more focused on ... well - studio work. AV Linux seems more fitting for performing live. I could be wrong though.
Awesome! Did you only use the matrix shaped device with the glowing butttons as step sequencer for drums, and what is it? Or did you some looping in software?
I have prepared some loops beforehand, same for the melodic instruments. In theory I could show these on that control surface and modify them, but I preferred being able to just play the kit live if desired. I used two of the knobs to change the range of drumkit instruments that are played. So I could take the snare out for example and play it's part myself.
@unfa00 Hi, great channel 👍 Question, do you think building an FX rack for live band would be doable? Was thinking about Carla with a few plugins like reverb, delay, compression, EQ and the like. Thx!
Hello, i am a freedoom contributor. You have an open issue, titled 'I could contribute some monster voice clips' where you contributed some sounds. Thanks for that! Are you going to contribute more, or the issue can be closed?
