Toprak is one of the greatest superbike riders I believe I’ve ever seen. What a warrior. But I’m not going to take anything away from Alvaro. He was right with Toprak on every turn and then used the Duc’s speed, just like any racer would. What a great race. I hope Garrett continues this push towards the front. Was great watching him pick off other riders, but I’d like to see him come out of superpole with better grid position….I’m sure he would too…🏍️
You just need to see the advantage Bautista has over every other Ducati rider to see that, while the bike is hella fast, Alvaro is making it a championship winning machine. He is making the difference of the Ducati. Just like Toprak is making all the difference with the Yamaha
You have a Toprak, who makes any bike to a winning machine with his skills, and there is an Álvaro who makes a Ducati a winning machine, based on his body weight, not skills. His skills are average compared with the other Ducati riders. He made more mistakes than his teammate, just think about.
Yes, this round could easily belong to Toprak but Alvaro really fought hard. People keep talking about Ducati power, but he's the only Ducati rider regularly on the podium. People keep talking about his weight, forgetting he's racing with that weight for like 20 years and achieved so little.

If the Ducati Panigale V2 won.. then the V4 won with other riders you would have to say that the Ducati has an unusual advantage .. but that did not happen.. in fact Ducati hasn't won a WSBK championship since 2010 IIRC . until Bautista came back and won last year. ONE CHAMPIONSHIP .Rea and the Kawsaki ZX10 won 6 championships.. and DOMINATED like no other... where's were the bedwetters and whiners then ??? This special realtionship between rider and machine, Bautista and Ducati comes along very few times as a manufacturer, very few riders can dominate on seperate brands of racing motorcycles ...very few. Ducati and Bautista should be cheered for their sucess TOGETHER, not condemned ..

Not true. Go check the top speeds! Álvaro was NOT the fastest. Even Toprak was faster. Even in the corners AB was able to stick to TR. He is just a hell of a rider, just like TR.
Toprak rode great enough on that bike for yamaha to see that a new bike should be presented to the series. Although toprak to BMW next year, his efforts should have shown that bikes age against the Ducati era.
Both are amazing riders, Bautista is understand the potential of the bike and he use the advantage very well with the experiences and his skill, while Toprak with the less Fast bike but with his skill he can find the potential where he can use that as advantage, and to drag the Championship until the final round is unbelievable....

Imagine the Blue team (Yamaha ) without Toprak next year, the podium will be very rare..😊 But I can't hardly wait for the first time Rea rides the Yam.
Rea on the Yamaha is going to be something to watch. They will definitely be on the podium with little adjustment. The BMW however does not respond to Toprak's strengths (currently). It is going to be very interesting to see them turn that chassis around . . . because thats the only motor on the grid that can keep Ducati honest.

Superb close safe racing from two talented riders….taking nothing away from Alvaro, but…….Toprak rode the wheels off that Yamaha to do everything but win in those three races, like he said, “I’m the only one” fighting with him….where’s everyone else..!!! He might be leaving Yamaha at the end of the season, but the team were still just as gutted as he was that he couldn’t get the win he justly deserved, especially with how hard he was trying…..let’s hope the BMW does it for him….👍💪🇮🇲
Bautista trying to explain he doesn't really have an advantage is absolute bullshit though. Taking nothing from Alvaro i agree, he's a good rider. But in David VS Goliath, no one wants to see Goliath win.
It's Ducati and Bautista that should be CHEERED REVERED .. instead of patting TopRaz on the head like child-you're the greatest TopRaz.. . VERY RARELY does a special relationship between man and machine come together... We saw this the 1st time Bautista hopped on the V4R Factory ..left for HRC, then came back to Ducati, dominated won a WSBK championship THAT'S THE STORY and the story continues !!! Darn lucky Bautist rode a Honda, otherwise Ducati would have a few more championships all being equal .. It's Bautista who is the best motorcycle road racer, not TopRaz ..

I roll race the difference between 170-180 to a guy like Bautista 120-140 pounds is huge.. To make a pass on the straight you need to be very close to the rider in front at the corner exit. Toprak also killed his rear tire in the fight, Alvaro had more rear tire left at the end of the race. To win a race means also to manage the tires. If Toprak had more grip at corner exit, Alvaro couldn't make the pass.
We saw this year what toprak missed last year :) Just a little bit more straight line speed and acceleration puts easily Toprak in front of Ducati, even with broken aero wing :) Where is our straight line champion puppet? :)

Toprak u r great rider but Yamaha bike is underpower bike. Yamaha need improve bikes power and top speed is lack of issues. Evan in motogp bikes are also same issues. We need Suzuki bike in track
Gerloff was 4 seconds behind the duo this race, Toprak will squeeze the last drop out of that M1000 next year, I have high expectations.. But the Rokit team raises concerns, Bonovo beat them everywhere this season..Toughest job is to turn those losers into winners!
Bautista looked pathetic when he tried to sell the idea and explained that he had more disadvantages than advantages, 15 turns disadvantage vs 1 straight advantage. Bullshit. There are plenty of great small riders like Marc, Wayne Rainey, Pedrosa not exhibiting any disadvantage thru the corners. Riding the best Ducati and barely won, yet that little guy Bautista celebrated as if he rode a masterpiece race, really shameless.
From no 1 to 5, Yamaha have 3 riders, Ducati 1 and Honda 1 rider. For me Yamaha was a competitive motorbike. In race 1, 1 to 5 position Yamaha 1, Ducati 1, BMW 1 and kawasaki 2. Overall points 1 to 5 position, Ducati 2 riders (bautista no1 and Bassani no 5) Yamaha ( Toprak no2 and Locatelli no4) Kawasaki (Jonathan rea no3) My observation Ducati and Yamaha almost equivalent. If someone say Ducati more advantage for me not 100% not everybody can handle this bike.
