Unforgettable Boat Adventure in Grand Teton Park

We didn't arrive in Grand Teton National Park expecting to explore by boat, but a stop into a park store with a view of the Colter Bay Marina at Jackson Lake changed all of that. A ride on a boat gives you a completely different view of the park and the amazing Teton mountains.

This week, we take you along on our boat trip from Colter Bay Marina, across Jackson Lake and to Elk Island. We all enjoyed lunch on the island and definitely feel like it was worth the money to do something completely unexpected. It is a worth while trip to Elk Island. We have taken 4 of our grandchildren on the breakfast cruise and enjoyed a cooked breakfast of eggs, trout, breakfast meats,and coffee. Had to have the coffee.. loved the video. Safe travels. .

It was a great way to see the park from a completely different perspective Tammy. The lunches were part of the excursion. I think there were 5 options to choose from? We put a link to the Jackson Lake excursions in the description of the video. We really enjoyed it.

Good Morning Y'all ☕️! How is Grammy Kay doing? We miss her and hope she is well & fine during this crazy pandemic! Happy Mother's Day 💐 to all the moms out there! We wouldn't be here without you 💞! One just has to admire the reflection of the Tetons in the waters around those mountains in all their grandeur! One of our favorite views is from Oxbow Bend just east of Jackson Lake on the Snake River! I picked up on a Texas accent from your boat captain or maybe it was just a Wyoming cowboy twang! Happy trails and Safe Travels Ya'll.

Love this video. Did your guide mention anything about having anglers fishing to remove a certain type fish? I wondered if they are using the fish they dont want to feed people that need it. I never got clarification. Seemed like a wasted resource if they dont want it there. Anyway your video is beautiful.

Thanks so much Karen. We did hear something about a fish they consider to be invasive to the area. This fish was apparently crowding out the native fish, and they were encouraging folks to catch as many as they could. We're not sure what they do with the ones that they catch. We assumed that folks were catching them to eat. But we don't know remember if they ever actually said that.
