Unfortunately things have not worked out at my current mooring. Join me and Craig as we hitch my Shetland 535 from the river Derwent. It was a real experience. Time to move to a new birthing
Onward and upward… it’s such a shame, but I get the need to move. You looked so deflated 😢. Look forward to seeing young jack again soon. . Safe and happy trekking., ( great to see Benny bonce too 😊❤ 🐈)
Definitely sounds like you've made the right decision my friend and it almost sounds like you've been forced into it unfortunately. I know if I had a boat mode there, from what you just said about the kids and everything, I would feel very worried about leaving it too. Hope your new spot on the Trent works out for you , looking forward to finding out in your next update. P.S. Get the bloody hull cleaned lol
Gonna leave it in. Probably take it out ad I’m hoping to spend some time at Loch Lomand. I’m gonna attempt to fit a diesel heater so winter boating should be a little more comfortable
It does seem to be left to its own devices there and a bit of a free for all with no recourse. We moored overnight on way back and as you say the jetties are in a bad way with 2 sunk boats just left. Both a hazard to boating. Farndon is a great place but you’ve gone from cheapest to dearest. 😀 ive just taken our small boat down to solent for 3 days and its a different world but still cheap and straight forward compared to all red tape on inland waterways.
