Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! (Isaiah 5:20.)
The world is ran by the devil, don’t forget that. All the things that we see and hear and experience has been messed with by the devil. All we can do is pray and ask that “God hold our hand in these times and never let it go. Let me lean on you for understanding and not myself.” Thank you for this message Alex may God continue to bless you and your family.
“If you declare with your mouth “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9). Now is the time to accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior. Obey His commands and repent of your sins because Jesus is coming back soon. Tomorrow isn’t promised.
@@EXPJRED that’s not an excuse to commit sin or cut off connections to sins the world being full of sin is the exact reason why we have to consistently kill it off
Not to mention society/the enemy himself is pushing for people to believe as though the enemy is good, and to befriend demons, that they care for us and protect us, but it’s a lie from the pits of hell, praise Jesus that he is sovereign over all 🙏🏼🤍
Are you secretly watching me?? Seriously now 😂 I literally watched that movie a few days ago! Oh and your amen podcasts with "Relationships" were posted at the same time my dad and I were going through some rough times; AND you posted the "happiness" podcast around the same time I was going through this storm of sadness. You are blowing my mind with everything you do, thank you for bringing biblical truth and the love of God here on yt. God bless
Im so glad I watched this video. Today in school I was working and I saw Monster on my paper and it led up with energy, human, and power. It confused me. But then once I saw this video I truly knew God was trying to say something to me. The devil IS trying to gaslight us by thinking that the sins we do are okay (WHICH IS NOT) God is showing us that the devil is disguising as a sheep. Be careful brothers and sister! GOD LOVES YOU!
Hello everyone! I am young and I would be lying if I wasn’t intimidated by the journey of Christianity. Alex, what helped you the most keep pushing to speak? I want to make friends and share my voice about Jesus and how beautiful he is, but fear shakes me most days. What’s the best advice? Thanks!
I had that same problem. I would say being in the word, as much as I can. Speaking to God about your fears, and just making him your passion will help make it easier to talk about him.
My pointers would be this: 1. Everyone I have ever known that was BOLD for Jesus.... guess what they told me. They were afraid every single time! They just went past it with this perspective: God is compelling me to share this.... even though I am afraid, God already knows what is going to happen after the fact, so I should rest in Him, and be obedient. 2. Pray all the time AND get around others who pray outloud to learn how to have a deeper prayer life. I personally did this by going to prayer service at church every week. 3. Specifically ask God for boldness AND opportunities to stretch that boldness (I'm working on this challenge currently.... going to evangelize on the street this Saturday with some sisters in Christ... eeeek! Lol) 4. Be in scripture everyday. That is the sword of the spirit. Learn about the armor of God in Ephesians 6:10-18ish... it is real. It literally protects your spirit from the enemy.. And fear is a weapon if the enemy. God bless you Abundantly in Jesus mighty name!!
If you want to be the "light" and "salt" to your friends, you need to resemble Christ in your life. In order to do that, you must spend regular time with the Lord by reading the Bible, praying, and having fellowship with other believers. As you're being transformed by the word, people will notice that you're different and want to know why. That's your opportunity to share the gospel. Remember that Jesus and his disciples only traveled to cities and towns that were interested in learning about the good news. They didn't go to places and scream to unbelievers that they will burn in hell. The answers are in the bible, seek, knock, and go find it.
Praise God! You have to spend time with Jesus. Christianity is not based on works but who you know. Jesus says “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.” John 15:4 It’s based on who you know that determines what you do. Do you want to know God? Take time, alone, at the beginning of each day, to seek Jesus through His Word and through prayer. And you will become acquainted with the best Friend you’ll ever know. I am willing to take the risk of saying that every one of us knows today which way we are going, right now. How can we know? As we have noticed, it’s determined on the basis of knowing God or not knowing God. We could boil it down to one question: Do you know Jesus as your personal friend? Are you spending time with Him, one to one, continuing to accept His saving grace? That’s the vital question. You may be going through real, agonizing struggles, but if you know Jesus on a personal basis day by day, you’re going to be on the winning side. And even though we may lose an occasional battle, God has already won the war. If you’ve read the end of the Book, you know we’re going to win! John 17:3 says it so clearly: “This is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” It is in knowing Jesus that our salvation is received and continued to the end, which is only the beginning! Hope everyone is doing alright! Please pray for me as I struggle with lust and an addiction to my phone. Please pray for us all to follow and trust in God.
we love you to Alex THANK GOD GOD HAS BROUGHT YOU HERE To Encourage us IN GOD and to follow GOD ALMIGHTY MORE THANK YOU LORD JESUS AND FOR OTHER PEOPLE ❤❤ JESUS IS LORD
This is perfect timing, I have struggled greatly with vanity issues an stressed about my appearance for years of my life so much so I wouldn't leave the house of fear of envy. After I was saved I thought I'd never care for my rituals I did but I still struggle with them an even though I didn't see it as a problem or it wasn't "that big of a deal an there's far worse sins" God showed me that it's a big deal to him an that I've welcomed bad spirits because of it, tonight I'm refraining to do them (as I try doing them every night cause it stopped my anxiety about it) but it's literally the hardest thing He tells me to let go, sometimes I don't know if I can but I know all things can be done in Christ so I will continue to fight this monster an not keep befriending it 🙏✝️
This is what I really commend Alex and Localani in - they are wise about what they want their children to be exposed to, and they are not afraid to talk about things with their children. It’s a huge responsibility for parents to be switched on and engage with their children when watching films, making sure that their children learn the truth. A huge encouragement to all parents and believers! I do think it's important to note though that there are many different potential messages and meanings in movies (or any creative work) and it’s up to the viewer/audience what they want to focus on. The movies that you used as examples don’t all have to have negative, anti-christian messaging. I 100% agree we shouldn’t befriend sin. I do think you could make a case for Sea Beast, having a positive message that can align withs scripture, saying that it doesn't matter how secular culture might twist narratives about "reality", we need to be courageous, hold onto and share the Truth, even when it feels like the world is against us. It's made clear in the film that the stories that were written were exaggerated - there is a scene where Maisie tells Jacob of all the things he did in the book, and we can clearly see that Jacob recognises these as falsified stories ( but Maisie believes them). Later on, Maisie has an encounter that changes her whole worldview... rather than just believing what she's been told by the falsified book, she has had a real life encounter. Rather than just continuing in the way of secular culture, she has had an encounter)Knowing now that the books are lies, she tries to share the news with other people to make sure they don't keep living in the way of the lie. This young girl is courageous and I think that's a way we can be encouraged.
Hmm… I’m gonna have to disagree, from what I’ve heard, it really seems like they’re trying to push the narrative more like what Alex is talking about. I’ve kinda lost hope for the media at this point, if Any big name studio is making it, chances are, it’s not gonna have a good message and it certainly won’t be Christ glorifying.
Amen this world( all of the non Christian’s) need to realize that Jesus does for our sins and that we all can repent. But yet those same people make sin “Good” to them. May God bless everyone.
I used to watch The Amazing World of Gumball and there was one episode about a monster who was formed by all these disgusting things, at first the main characters despised it, but then they grew to like it. Even though it ate people (being a monster) main characters still accepted. Another scenario was when one of the main characters tried to leave the monster (the show was trying to portray main characters as parents) but then the other got on to them for doing so which sounds alot like modern media cracking down on people for opposing wrong. But eventually the monster grew to much because it ate to much and started destroying houses. The thing that is most amazing is that this show it blatantly a secular kids show yet it almost perfectly demonstrated how LGBTQ, Critical Race Theory, etc. had started as sin, but because people had began to see not as it was it grew to much and caused big problems in society.
they should make a movie of people befriending the monsters and the monsters aren't as bad but then.. plot twist they transform into their real forms and see it was mistake.. this would be good because it relates to "Satan, their master, can disguise himself as an angel of light"
Hi Alex. I just found you and Localani and I just love you guys. New fan here. Thank you for your videos and podcasts! You both shine the light of Jesus so well. ♡
Welcome! I’ve been a follower of Alex for about 6 months now. He is very wise, and very well spoken. Hope you can find everything you need through them! Bless
@@Hannahremo I have been binge watching their videos in between my kids and my morning Bible time. They have been so helpful! Definitely my new favorite yourtuber.
@@kristyncampbell3124 I love that for you! You are welcomed here, and it’s always so great seeing new members! If you ever want to contact and reach out to other women in the Christian community I recommend downloading LO sisters. You can chat with me as well! Much love
Sea Beast, I think we should ask ourselves was it only a 'Beast' out of defence? As Masie questions, 'Who really started the war?" Now wondering if the Humans had hunted things that they were afraid of because they didn't know, or didn't understand what they were. Then giving the 'Beast' just reason to attacked back, defend its area? The 'Beast' is kind & caring towards Masie when she does not attack it. Shall we ignore this? that the storyline could actually be about false naming or tagging on things ? because we dont understand them/they are greater than us. I Understand what you are saying, just for this film I think there are many positive outlooks that you have maybe missed because of seeing the old sea books slight similarity to the bible? Kind regards, Love your show x
I see what you're saying. It's really a two-way street, isn't it? I can easily derive the good out of the story and use that. Just as easily as I can derive the bad out of it and use that. Besides, for the Lord's sake, we must all live within the conscience we are given of God. For your conscience, you can see past the evil parts of it to the good messages it has. For Alex, he could not.
I definitely see where you're coming from, especially from the old books in Sea Beast. But if I may push back, I think that the movies are supposed to be metaphor for people coming together despite their differences, even if one of the "people" groups appear to be monsters.
Be careful. They do, but writers also like to toy with using BOTH metaphors and blurring the lines into a sort of false equivalence. Much like how secular society may treat disapproval of homosexual behavior as tantamount to some forms of racism, ie. "Demonizing an individual for possessing certain innate, immutable traits that you don't share." That's a big part of the intersectionality movement. It's this idea that certain sins are as much a part of a person as my skin color is to me and that if I advise someone against engaging in certain sexual behavior, I'm being just as bad as someone who sees me as a monster for not being white.
I can definitely see that. As a practice, though, I don't fully trust the intentions of the movies I see to not try and feed me their morality. Me, personally, I don't care what I watch, but I can see why Alex may feel the need to exercise extreme caution.
I definitely agree that there are many kids movies with dangerous undertones and messages that we should be careful about, but I dont think Monsters inc is a good example.
Pokemon (Pocket Monsters) was my favorite when I was a kid. That is, until I got into the Mario & Luigi series, where unlike in Pokemon, you get to dodge and counter every single enemy attack instead of just standing there and taking beatings. I also later moved on to My Little Pony, PAW Patrol, and Jewelpet.
Great catch brother. I received this revelation the other day. That monsters inc was like a representation of the unseen principalities and the 'triggers' they have for the individual
The movie is basically saying that the old Bible teaching calling homosexuality an abomination is “evil” and we should allow the opposite teaching to thrive.
Say it brother! Soooo true! God showed me it wasn't ok to show my children Monsters Inc. I loved it growing up, but had ZERO discernment back then... as a kid and young adult. The line is being drawn in the sand family (Body of Christ).. We cannot be casual any longer! Will you stand with Culture (the world) or Jesus Christ? Gold bless you all abundantly in Jesus mighty name! Amen ❤️
I always look at monsters as silly and cute, but in reality people think that what some people look at as bad,is good, that’s all satans work, thank you for this word!!,God Bless you❤️😇
I was really hoping a video like this would come out soon. Cuz I noticed it, (movies), and thought something was a bit off. Then when I saw this video come out, I knew what was wrong.
Aw man bro Monsters inc is one of my favs bro)))): UGG!!! Man the Lord is not lying when it is a CONSTANT battle between flesh and spirit. God help me pls
I tell people about how the shows and movies they watch can affect your life tremendously and people just say “cmon it’s just a movie it’s not bad at all” it’s crazy how people in our generation don’t realize they are letting sin into their lives and other people around them.
I'll be honest...it still don't think Monsters Inc is bad..I see boo being the light and is her being around sully convicts him into realizing the way of life he's lived was wrong. I mean if people don't feel comfortable watching it I respect it but I don't see anything wrong with it.
@@dude9318 but like I said people should let their convictions guide them...mine don't see nothing wrong but it may different for some so...I respect it
It's definitely about ones own conscience. Most important thing to learn is not to judge by how thongs look. It goes both ways. Something can appear evil and be good if you look deeper. Something evil can try to look good, but still be evil. What's evil for one may be good for another, and vice versa. It's all about living in union with God according to his design for your life.
So Alex, I just wanted to say thank you. This is very insightful and wise, and I think that you are right. I was once told by a very wise preacher that if you do not feel convicted by a sermon then you need to listen harder or the sermon isn't good. Now of course that has it's holes and things to be careful with but it is true. I can feel conviction in your preaching. And you're right, though there are many perspectives that we can take in life when we look at movies and tv and media, we need God's perspective. And I need to try and get closer to that. I need to say this as well because it has been bothering me. I am a very empathic person and my mood can change easily. My family has a history with mental health issues. I'm always hiding my feelings and try to be positive around other people, but I still feel like I'm afraid of the world. I don't like it, and a big part of me doesn't want it. This world scares me and I don't like being near people I don't know and if there isn't someone around that I do know then I will refuse to talk to anyone because I'm just scared. I don't know what to do anymore. I try to get advice from friends, and they have given me good advice, but I know that my feelings run deeper than what I'm telling them. I'm sorry, I know I'm not making any sense. If you want to talk to me about it more I'm willing. Love you and Localani! May God bless you and your family!
If I may be so bold as to answer you in his place, I once suffered from anxiety attacks when I was first saved. The world IS a scary place, and danger lurks around every corner. If you don't have God with you. I no longer suffer from those attacks. They started due to my drug habits, and they continued even after I stopped. Despite the fact that it was my own fault, the consequence of my own actions, Jesus still removed them from me. Much more, he taught me that his peace was unconditional. It doesn't matter what curcunstajcr it may be, God is with me. All I have to do is trust in who he is.
This can also be seen in the movie Luca. Like his parents really pushed against going into the surface but his friend just said it’s not that bad. And slowly but surely they continued to get deeper and deeper and it ended but being good. And you can say that it’s about excepting yourself as well which it is but the beginning is pretty bad
Oh my goodness exactly!!!!.... I was at my pastors home just visiting and the animated movie smallfoot was on. I'm From Nairobi Kenya by the way... I was like this is subliminal messaging. In the film there are old text (in the film it was tablet or ancient rock with sacred writing that the Big foots followed )of course they we're stupid and backward and the moral of the story was the writings are silly and wrong and that we ought to abandon them for science. In the animation there's a song called 'wonderful life' very beautifully sang but the message is clear the ancient texts are holding us back from exploring the beautiful beyond... its so obvious. I remember even telling my pastors about it .... animations are the worst
No movies....only a movie like Mountain Top....Look it up you won't be sorry. Another movie is ..The War within...All Christian movies. GOD BLESS you Alex and family.🍃⚘🍃
Amen I agree this society is really pushing the devil as """""""good""""""" As a long time anime fan I watched this anime called monster. Tho idk if it's satanic or not The show was back in like 2004 I think. The show start off with the main character who is a doctor who is very good at brain surgery. One day a boy got shot in the head and was brought to the hospital. And the boy was the main villain who was called a "monster" throughout the whole show. As he was on his way to do operation on the boy. The main character was called by the owner of the hospital he's working in saying someone is about to die if he doesn't got his brain surgery done. The main character saved the boy (the monster) instead but the operation for the other guy failed so he died. Knowing the main character didn't obey a direct order from the chef. He went thru a lot and gave up his almost everything to save that one boy (the monster) The boy ends up being manipulative killer as he grows up and ruined the main character's life as well from the very start when he saved him and also turned the main character into a killer who is now trying to kill the monster he once saved as a doctor The show ended with the (monster) being actually not a monster but (the monster) they were talking about was the sin that the boy and everyone in the world has. The main character saved him and forgave him instead of killing him once they reunited Tho there are many things in the story but that's how I see it. Please let me know if it's very wrong. Tho I also like to mention it's not for kids or anything they also mentioned some Bible verses sometimes in the show which I find it weird and satanic
