When I was young, in the 50/60ties, here in the ex territories of the old Empire, (today at the eastern border between Italy and Slovenija) there were still many survivors from Hungary and Austria and through my mother, I still remember many of them: one particularly: Mr. Geza Fischer, hungarian from Fiume (Rijeka), who spoke eight languages: a very rare person to be found today........
...there is something of an old joke throughout Europe... ...if you speak more than three languages, you're an educated person... ...if you speak only two languages, you're basically illiterate... ...and if you speak only one language, you're American!.. 😉😄😄
@@HETE_Bombu I'd imagine that's likely not the case for the older generations in the former Austrian/Austro-Hungarian territories, seeing that they lived through the demographic mess that was Imperial Austria.
When I look at this picture and see that beauty, I can't even explain how I feel. But when I realize that we lost this beauty I feel so sick and sad. Back to those times when all Europe looked like this.

Umm, this may come as a shock to you, but there is a huge building in the Citadel district called Buda Castle... Just to give an idea about it's integrity, it houses the Hungarian National Library
@@МолчатДома Not really. It is the Blaha Lujza tér, seen from the József körút. The building on the left was the old National Theatre and was teard down 1965. All the other buildings are still there.

Until 1:30 there were Ottoman style melodies/tunes imo, it also reminded me of Mecidiye march alot. The rest sounds like the marches you'll hear at US parades
Yes, Ottoman Marches like those from Mehmed Zati Bey (e.g. Kavak Marşı), the Vive Constantinople Marche, and many more. The melodic key is the same. The Trio part is more austrian style. The first part sounds, as you mentioned very Ottoman Style. I, as a collector of rare Ottoman Marching Music sheet notes from Regimental Music can verify, what you said. @@Tomtomtomtomtomtomtom75kg its the blaha lujza ter with the tower of the famous cafe „new york“. Everything in this picture exists today, only the building on the left site, the old national theatre was destroyed by the soviets to make place for a new underground station.
