Like I was being dragged kicking and screaming, but also clawing and crawling and fighting for every inch, all at once. I knew it was happening. It hurt so much. I was in agony and I was happier each passing moment than I had ever been as a child.

It's something about being able to communicate with anyone no matter where you go, and speak with very subtle accent so no one knows where you are truly from. Fun.
