In all seriousness, become a donor! My cousin died in a car accident last year, and because he was a donor, his death meant something. His sister has also received life giving organ donation (unrelated to his death). Let your death mean something, people.
That's sad to hear about your cousin, but good to hear about his great act. I wouldn't become a donor though, at least not in NYC. I've seen doctors purposely refuse to continue treating sick patients if they had a valuable organ, and I've seen paramedics not call in emergency support once they read the donor line on the license. It's great to help someone else survive, but with the way the system works, your life could be cut short to prolong another's. Very tricky sometimes.
LeBronP you are 100% correct and not just in NYC my mom worked for a couple hospitals and her number one fear was any of her children listing being an “organ donor” on their license, because there is a curve, on whether they will treat you or not. It’s fucking crazy and to this day I make sure everyone important to me isn’t a listed donor, you can always (depending on way of death/ sickness blah Blah) Donate organs after the fact, the family can fill out forms and such but it isn’t even brought up until the person is gone. I wish more people knew this because honestly people really do think they are doing good by others but they are short changing their care. My mom told me on my 16th birthday when I was in the DMV and I couldn’t even believe it. Your death can still mean something after you’re completely gone, just don’t take away your ability to get the care to save you 100%.
@@requiemunicorn1329 Hi, I work in the field of donation and this is not true. The organizations that coordinate donation do not step in until the patient is declared dead or their family has decided to withdraw care. This misinformation scares people and could not be further from the truth. Your organs will function much better in your body than anyone else's, and most in-hospital health care providers aren't aware of your status as a donor at any point. The only people that have access to the registry are licensed organizations that operate as entirely separate entities from any hospital. If you have any questions, please let me know. I'm aware this comment is a year old, but I personally make it my goal to dispel common myths about donation, as it is a truly life-saving field that has changed so many lives, and I can assure you that no one has had their care cut short in order to take their organs for someone else. I don't know what your mom has witnessed to make her believe this, but I can promise it's a misunderstanding as there are strict laws and guidelines to keep donation an ethical and fair process. Procurement organizations operate as advocates for the donor and their families, providing an opportunity for hope in the midst of tragedy.
I'm a school nurse and I have a couple of 'regulars' (Kids with chronic conditions, so they're in my clinic at least once a day) and when they don't listen to me, I'll call them Brenda to get their attention and IT. ALWAYS. WORKS. "Why did you call me Brenda?" Well, your real name didn't work, did it? 👀
"I'm Tracy Martel formerly known as Trixie Mattel and I'm from S7, I think my former competitor Ginger Minj said it best on the last AS season that our season got a lot of hate and that was because I wasn't in most of it. Duh"
Unhhhh has ruined me, I’ve started laughing like both Trixie and Katya, I’ve started saying oh honey and a bad joke after it. I said “i will not Jodie foster this behavior” to my dog. To my fucking dog.
I fucking love them both and I wish them all the happiness in the world and that they deserve every good thing they get and I hope they die happy. I just wanted to say this because I'll never get to say this to their face bc I'll never get to meet them.
Trixie looks simultaneously like a young child who got into her mothers make up box before attending a funeral, and an old women at a funeral who lost her sight just before the death of her departed friend, but was still determined to do her own makeup for the service. Katya looks simultaneously like the woman who planned the funeral, and the woman that will contest that mans will until she gets every last penny of his god damn real estate fortune.
“If you’re in a burning building and can’t find the exit then you didn’t wanna live anyway.” I STARTED BUST ASS LAUGHING IN MY CLASS SO HARD OMG I SNORTED AND I GOT ALL THESE STARES AND WAS SENT OUTTA CLASS TO THE HALLWAY AND I WAS STILL LAUGHING AS I WAS WALKING INTO THE HALLWAY😂
Briana De Luca OH HONEY!!! GREAT SPIRIT!? MAMA, YOU SHOULD’VE SEEN ME BACK IN BALTIMORE!!! I WAS SO PALE AND DRUNK PEOPLE CALLED ME THE GREAT SPIRIT!!!! OH HONEY!! HONEYYYYYY...
Their friendship literally overcame a full blown psychotic break involving some terrible things being said/done. That’s true love and commitment to one another. Friendships like theirs are truly rare to find in this life.
I love how Trixie saying I like you to Katya made her so happy. I just watched Moving parts today and i loved seeing how important her friendship to Katya is, and not just because of the pressure of the show business. Helping your friends recover should always be number one...
The “nothing, I just like you” moment is tattooed on my brain. It is part of my mental wallpaper. It means everything to me. It encapsulates the two of them and their relationship perfectly. It should be studied in sociology classes. I am buffering.
trixie expressing affection towards katya is so rare that katya didnt knew how to react. this is a blessed moment like this video for good luck or no one will ever love you
