I love the fact that Uwe Boll spent so much time and effort trying to ruin this movie because he genuinely hates video games, but end up making one of the most accurate movie adaptations for a video game ever because he went so over the top. Which is exactly what Postal, the video game, is.
Uwe Boll doesn't hate video games, he just doesn't give a shit about them. He said in a German interview, that he only made these video games movies, because back then, the licences were cheap & the IP's had brand recognition.
@@ULTRAOutdoorsman This is just a movie, if you hold him to his words here you have to hold Al Pacino to his words and arrest him for being part of the mafia.
@@doublep1980 I don't know what is the truth but it seems like this movie is great because it has the same humor as Boll has, sadly people didn't recognized how awesome this movie is making it successful giving Boll a new oportunity to make similar movies.
Ironically, this is Uwe Boll's finest movie. You can really FEEL his hatred for video games in all his movies, but this one is just so spiteful in an IP that is practically playable spite that it ended up going full circle and becoming the most faithful adaptation of Postal
True without a doubt. Using a disabled man in a wheelchair as a prop to jump a fence is the most video game accurate thing ive ever seen in a video game adaptation
Wait, that was someone important? I thought that was some nobody 'extra' saying a dumb corny line to be funny. That lad actually... nah, my man he didn't, what a puff haha what a pufta.
Best part is being able to watch this movie without context and understand what Postal is generally about. This would still be a funny movie if we lived in a universe where there were no Postal games and just this movie it would still be funny as fuck. I love the games but this is such a great adaptation, down to the execution of the cat silencer joke.
I understand the hate This movie was released the same year as fucking transformers, Surfs up, and Spiderman 3 To many people this movie was the bottom of the barrel when it came to movies But honestly it's one of those so bad it's so good movies that gets appreciated with time
its because the scene with the kids being shot, considering mass shootings at schools and such. If the directors didn't involve kids being shot in the movie, then maybe it wouldn't have gotten much of the negative attention.
Everyone who actually saw the movie and a fan of Postal games knows this movie as ridiculous, funny and violent as the game itself. Truly the best videogame adaptation.
I understand it just a little. Cuz jokes were actually funny and the game references were really smart, but moments with Postal Dudes wife were disgusting. The actress could be less fat and stuff.
Now i think of it Zack ward postal dude is probably postal dude that have best ending He survive and he got new babe While postal 2 dude survive he just have champ Postal 3 dude well we not know what happened to him But he was on paradise lost
This movie is up there with Iron Sky and Punisher Warzone as "precisely rated movies". Not underrated, not overrated, just getting the precise level of appreciation they deserve. Solid 6/10, and no one would expect anything else.
Uwe Boll made a quite faithful adaptation of the Postal games that’s actually….pretty funny, if you have the dark sense of humor Postal games require. Dude got WAY more hate than he deserved. Joshua Wesely is a much better target
I don't understand people complaining about this movie. I played Postal 2 and this is exactly accurate. Like mf, we are talking about Postal 2 here. Entire lore is just "Crack" and "Piss" .
Ngl I laughed quite a few times watching this. I probably laughed a little too much at the kids being.. well, y'know. irl those squibs are actually pretty painful, so its kind of hilarious they managed to put those on kids and film this. To be fair this might be the only Uwe Boll movie that may be somewhat accurate to the game for once.
dam this is just like playing the POSTAL games... how did i not know this even existed? lol i even saw "coak sorker" on a wall all the cameos... I'm seeing actors from Stargate, Spider-Man movies, this is insane
In many ways, this movie perfectly captures the essence of getting bored in a GTA game and then wilding out before reloading your last good save. RPG's like The Elder Scrolls, too.
Notice how in the first clip, he short strokes the shotgun on the last round he fires, jamming it. He would've dumped one more round into her, but God himself said "Bro, chill!" and stopped him.
I have to check this out. Seems to be a movie full of mild inconveniences but some people go to the extreme to solve them. Admittedly so do I when the occasion calls for it.
I remember playing postal as a kid, i think it somewhat influenced my humour... why havent i heard of this movie lol as soon as i saw that cat, i knew it was gonna get good.
