I've got to stop looking at all these reviews for cute little multi-scopes. I have a bench HP, a handheld Fluke, a smaller than the Fluke but good $190 handheld multi-scope in my tool bag, and a couple of $15 to $30 'toy' scopes. But the Chinese keep coming out with interesting handhelds every month with more bandwidth, better triggers, ever more features that work better, and at a lower price. I'm almost glad this one has problems. I could turn into a scope junkie if I'm not careful. :) I would so love send some of this tiny gear back in time to my 13 yo self. A handheld multi-scope, a TinySA, and a NanoVNA would make a heck of a start for just about anyone back in the 1960's.

It may have a few problems, but from what I can see they are not any worse than other devices in this class. Comes with the territory.

Buy it dammit! You're a stronger man than I. I have 3 bench scopes and this became my third and best handheld. I only do basic electronics but I couldn't resist this one. The little bugger kept popping up both here and in my AliExpress front page constantly so I didn't really buy it because I wanted it. I just wanted to stop seeing it! I don't know how you do it. I need to stop buying scopes!

For anyone looking for a case for this, I used a "UTHAI T29" case that I bought a while back. I believe it's under $2 ($1.36) at Aliexpress Choice. It fits pretty much perfectly and although it's a soft case, I'm pretty sure it will absorb quite a bit of impact should it fall. It will not accommodate the probes but it's virtually free protection at that price. Just thought I'd share in case anyone was looking for a cheap protective case that will do a great job and cost more in time waiting for it than it will in price. And thanks to you Uni-Byte. Your reviews were detailed and an excellent decision maker for my purchase.

Nice. I also found a case for it on AliExpress. If you do a search on "1PC Portable Accessories Collection Foam" you should be able to find it. It's a semi-hard case and it perfectly accommodates the foam insert that the scope is shipped with. So it will take the DMM probes and the USB cable. As well it has a pouch in the top that holds the scope probes very nicely. It was about $9 US.

@@uni-byte Correction. I have one case that I already had lying around and one on the way hehe Thank you for that! Much better being able to include all the accessories as opposed to my current method!

@@MHTSAPAS No problem. You got the one that was 230mm x 180mm x 70mm, right?

Thanks, it looks interesting. I'm still not sure If I want to go with a portable cheap scope or wait until I have the funds for something more substantial. Something is better than nothing, but I'm in no real hurry. Loads of other things to keep me busy. I hope Reggie is recovering well. Take care.

Agreed. Reggie, unfortunately, tore out some of his sutures. Still need to see what can be done about that, but otherwise is recovering well. Thanks for your thoughts.

The idea that you can't extract the images in this day and age is almost a deal breaker even if you say' its 70quid ' I find that bizarre but great review. I think I will stick with it's little brother which I'm quite happy with as my portable.....cheers.

Yeah, I think that is a real miss on their part. Even if it added $5 or $10 to the price a way to get the files off would have been a real improvement.

Wich one is better between zeeweii dso3d12 and dso2512g
@uni-byte
@uni-byte 2 месяца назад
Understandable question. The DSO3D12 has a larger screen and a pretty good DMM, the DSO2512 has a nice rubber cover and video out. Other than that they are pretty well the same.

@@HenrikHvalpen Their reply was (paraphrased) "We don't have bug reporting process". I still use mine nearly daily. The little issues don't really bother me as I'm used to them.

@@uni-byte Thanks for the reply. I was originally looking into buying the ZT703s but it seems to have a lot of bugs. Then I looked for a DPOX180H because it seems to have some good reviews, but also a bit more expensive and it only works as an Oscilloscope. Then I saw the one you tested and it's quite intriguing. I have also looked at a HDS2102s which also is a 2-1 one solution, but it's pretty expensive too. It's my first time buying an Oscilloscope and I really want to make the right choice the first time.
@uni-byte
@uni-byte 2 месяца назад
@@HenrikHvalpen I Understand. When I was buying my first scope I only had one option in my price range .. a Heath Kit single trace 5MHz analog scope (and I had to build it myself!). These days there is too much to choose from and that in itself can cause issues. Good luck!
