Uni T UT61 vs Other multimeters. Brazilian makes such as Inimpa and Icel were very well built but now like other brands are buying up cheaper Chinese brands like Vicci and just rebadging them and charging higher prices. I previously bought the latest Inimpa before discovering this and tested on a Valve HT voltage of 520v and the meter self distructed even though it claimed to be Cat3 rated 600v. I am finding this more and more with Chinese brands (eg Power amplifiers claiming 1000w power but only having Amp ICs or power transistors that could at best deliver 300W!)

I've never seen the 61A, if I look up the 61 series in either old or newer plus models there is no mention of it at all. I agree that Uni-t is one of the better brands for those of us not rolling around in money.

@@guateque1718 Thanks for subscription! I bought this while living in Brazil (the 61e is probably better). I have two other multimeters but this one is the one I use. I am definately not rolling around in money! Just got back to the UK and it's a real struggle.
