For a "Final Boss" his theme sounds pretty chill. Then again, Kuon himself sound and seems pretty chill, only doing all this evil to finally being able to peacefully die.
Really love that the theme is a remix from Under Night's first reveal trailer. Kinda poetic that the first piece of music for Under Night will be used for the last boss

He’s surprisingly soft-spoken and polite, even in adult form. Also given who his VA (and regarding Hyde’s) is… one could say that this is what one too many glass of Oolong Tea could turn a man into.
My Izanami + Jedah + Sho Minazuki + Mildred predictions were right. And that theme is the first official reveal trailer and TGS trailer theme, I'm glad they're not wasting that amazing theme.
As Kuon took his daily backshots, he used the EXS from those backshots to begin the revival of the Great Yapping One, Hilda. Tales of her yapping were known throughout In-Birth society, as she could make the entire world go deaf from her daily yapping. Her past clashes with the In-Birth Hyde were known worldwide, as it was a battle between yapping and glazing. However overall, Hyde is the strongest.
Asuka in GG, Izanami in BB, even though this is French Bread developed and only published by ASW I'm sensing the same pattern of "big bad finally playable"
Nu is a zoner but Lambda isn't. Lambda is more of an all-rounder rushdown that can transition fullscreen pressure into close-up mixups into corner-to-corner combos into crazy corner pressure. Seems like Kuon will be just like Lambda
@@daverius4189 Lamdba has changed a lot, her latest iterations are like how you describe but she started out as being a replacement for Nu, then a stance that Nu could transition into. I don't think Kuon has the same level of keepaway she does, but prolly has similar if not better pressure cause some of his air attack are gigantic and he can fly like Izanami.
I think I need to run through CLR's story mode. Like I know Kuon is one of the big guys if not the big guy. But definitely feels like I'm missing some info. For one I didn't realize the man was progressing into becoming a Void.
Becoming a Re-birth, what Kuon is requires for the old self to die and for the EXS to take over the body, creating a new self. The Void Half is a seeming side effect of that.
He's one of the big guys for sure, but not the real villian. Read the current UNIB story mode and you'll see why (I don't remember the name of that mode).
Lol he has a lot of funny moves. I saw Isla's (KOFXV) special jump cancel at 0:44, shortly after Hyde's j.6C. And before either of those he has Mario's 2B from Lumina as well. Preview gave a pretty decent idea of how he plays. Kuon is surprisingly grounded in UNI fundamentals despite being a boss character. Kind of poetic in a way since he was initially an even more protag-y protag than Hyde in the past.
His Theme Sounds Pretty Relaxed / Chill , yet somewhat intense at 0:47 - 0:58 . Given this Character is Immortal and Struggled " all this time to finally meet his Goal it makes Sence . It would be like Forcing someone to only eat Bread all his Life while Other People are allowed to eat Everything . You sooner or Later would get sick of that Shit and do everything " to change it around .

Is it a coincidence his battle effects look like Hyde's, not to mention the blades look like Hyde's weapon too... I'm sure it's also just an art style thing but their faces as well.
Since I don't know if those are rethorical questions... SPOILER ALERT Well, since Kuon was the original weilder of the Insulator Blade, which he got from Vatista (one of the swords flying behind her, to be specific), and his power is Insulator imitator, it makes sense. Moreover, since Hyde's power is manifesting the Insulator Blade (as far as we know), then it is highly likely that they are related, in some way, since it is stated that he is an avatar/host or something like that, i don't remember exactly.
I haven't gotten a concrete awnser, and i hoping i can get one here. Does the physical version come with the season pass, too, or is it only for digital? I wanna get the game from amazon, so i just wanna know beforehand
Kinda strange to say that he's one of those "Hero" antagonists since he wanted to end his immortality along with his life. Not to mention that Linne want Hyde to kill both her and Kuon with the Insulator to end their curse altogether.
I mean... Even Kuon's swords are Insulators... Just like the original Insulator that was given to Hyde by the original Vatista's swords. Kuon can also ends Hyde's existence, not to mention that Kuon feels like he is related to him. 🤣

Huh, his energy waves look a lot like Hyde's. I don't know much about Under-Night's story but I'm guessing that, if Hyde has the Mcguffin Sword, this dude's the Mcguffin itself, controlling all the Exes.
Visual effects seem similar to the main character, Hyde. Wonder if there's a connection between them or it's just coincidence. (I haven't played the story btw)
Technically, Hyde's sword is one of Vatista 's, but maybe Kuon managed to get more of those. And the visual effects is probably a nod to Kuon being the original user of Hyde's sword.
I don't think so, people who play play tekken aren't types to play anime fighting games while those who do don't really play tekken too long after it releases

Dont you think the game would have more sales if it was AFTER tekken, so the undecided people, after the honey moon period of T8 can go ahead and spend more money on another game? You guys act like this is some sports team game where everyone is 100% one of the games. There is a casual market that buys games every quarter, but not 2 in one quarter.
@@Xenozillextaking into account that in on itself, Under night is already kind of a niche game, it won't really matter that much. All of the people that are going to buy it have already decided, and those who haven't were more likely to wait and see or find more about it later.
@@Xenozillex repeat that to yourself. The KIND of game xrd was and Strive is. Is it the same game, just more popular? Did they not change ANYTHING ELSE? And Guilty Gear is a saga with several games, this is the send off for UNIST. The only comparison would be Blazblue: Central Fiction. And that's not exactly a really known game, is it? As a whole, this style of fighting game is not that casual friendly, nor known, and you can see that through trailers and reactions alone. And if for it to succeed it would need to change it's whole style, for a game this unknown, then it may fail both casual and fans alike

When a character is an overaching antagonist that is being playable in the final entry of an ArcSys title, it becomes my instant most wanted character, it happened with Asuka, Happy Chaos and (hopefully) Ariels and now Kuon. You guys are the best!

To all those I have insulted with my remarks of how JJK is better than Under Night In Birth, I unequivocally apologize. I finally get it now. The true name of God……………………..is Hyde Kigoat.
Play this with the other 10 new people and then wait for the honeymoon of T8 to die and hop on that. T8 is riding a wave now they could do the same garbage lobby system as Strive and still maintain a high playerbase.
