Yeah, little me would’ve loved it, until JK Rowling had to ruin anything HP related by turning its fandom into ravenous transphobes that harass innocent trans people in the thousands. :/
I love your positivity! Plus, I also think your amazingly talented. Your best friend/business partner is amazingly talented as well! Just wish I could try tasting one of your guys cakes! Just one more reason i wanna visit Australia! 💗🌺🎂🧁🍰💗
I remember near the end of summer I made a cake for my younger cousin’s birthday gift. She asked for a unicorn cake. She hates fondant though, and I didn’t have any marshmallow. I had only used fondant once before that anyways. So instead what I used for the horn and ears was star bursts, I microwaved them long enough for them be moldable, maybe 10 seconds? It did the same thing warming them in your hands would do. My cousins loved the multicolour star burst horn and ears. I also hid m&ms on the inside, though I had to refrigerate the cake decorated so they kinda stuck together when cutting the cake. All I had for icing as well was store bought vanilla icing, I added some icing sugar but still was a bit thin to pipe nice flowers for the mane. I don’t decorate cakes often either, a few a year. Especially being a high school student with a part time job. So far the most ‘extreme’ cakes I’ve designs was the unicorn one (probably closest to a professional style cake I’ve made with that definitely made at home kinda look) along with a Pokémon cake. The Pokémon cake took place a month before the unicorn cake, one of my younger cousins (5 or 6yo) was over and wanted to bake. He wanted me make a cake. He got bored and went to play Pokémon with my dad before the batter was even ready to go in the oven. I asked him how he wanted it decorated and he said he wanted a Mario cart cake… My skills are no where near that level. He was playing Pokémon so I suggested a Pokémon cake and he said yes. It was two tiers with a pokeball on the bottom and pikachu on top. For the eyes, ears, and circle button thing on the pokeball were all made out of chocolate. I melted chocolate chips, put them into a silicon snowman cupcake mold and a silicon mini bread loaf (2 by 4 in or something like that), then I freezed them. They were a bit thick and hard to cut even though they were only 2 or 3 cm thick, but I made do. It was a bit messy looking but it turned out recognizable. Honestly for never planning my cakes much before making them and having very little experience I’m proud of the cakes I’ve made. It’s definitely not something I’d want to make into a career, but I’ll definitely keep it as a hobby that I’ll do every now and again. Baking especially I’ll probably do more often. I used to consider becoming a baker, but I can’t see myself in a kitchen all day. I have other career plans anyways (music and/or nursing or maybe teaching).
