I know the orange/black color scheme is for your channel, but I can't help but think "This is Halloween, this is Halloween" the entire time watching this. The colors look good together, & looks nice & spooky.
If you travel to albion from elheim. After liberating the first city, you can get the mirrors for 30 honour a piece from a npc in that town on the world map
Didn't watch the whole video yet got stuff I'm doing but if you didn't mention it. WAIT TO USE ON UNIQUES UNTIL AFTER PROMOTION if you care about aesthetics you may gain an accent color or armor color with a promotion unlike base clase. I think scarlet is one of those
One character that I think is mandatory to customize is Gilbert to pump up his initiative to ensure he buffs before your dps unloads because his default one is too low for that. Go-gether 2x pumps initiative and dodge
also the werefox lady. Simply because she's either an evasion tank or a pursuit-damage dealer, but she comes with.. guardian defensive. Go figure. THE worse out of the box stat set
I will say, I have a full cavalry unit that simply MOWS down infantry, it’s my go to map-clearing squad. Offensive/precise on Clive has been my go-to for the crit damage, as well as the bonus damage from offensive. It’s been a blessing and for how fast they move, they get rid of everything before they even know what hit them. 🙌🏻 Great video as always and I am always excited for each new upload. 👌🏻
That's cool. Until you see flying squad or bestral squad, this full cavalry squad is kinda meh. Better have hybrid squad, to deal with two or more squad combinations.
@@ryuchan123 well, obviously so. That’s why this squad focuses on infantry as I had said. 🙂 Armored or not, mages, and archers, this squad clears a path for my squads that have the abilities to deal with the other squads. 🙌🏻
I got the mirror somewhere and used it, not realizing it was a single use item! I thought all my characters could just "look into the mirror" and I could customize them accordingly. Was bummed.
That’d be so cool! I understand the reasoning for balance purposes… but it would’ve been so cool to just have 1 that works for everyone, maybe for a fee of 5 honors or something (because if you wanna change a lot of characters, that fee really adds up)
Honestly, it should be A usable key item because even though you get minor stat changes, they’re not enough to break the game or even break the difficulty so having to grind a late game item so my army can look aesthetically the same actually makes me pretty Sad and feels like one of The few bad game designs that were implemented in this game. Otherwise it’s great.
@@dustingorman8389 Agreed. That's why I mistakenly thought I could use it for all my characters. Just wanted to use it for aesthetic reasons without any thought to min/maxing at all. And as you say, it isn't *that* impactful even for the folks who want to use it for that purpose. Would be ACE if they gave us a patch to allow unlimited uses at some point. Heck, I'd even take a "weaker" version, that *only* allows cosmetic changes.
This is the one video I was looking for BUT NOBODY cares enough!!! Thank you for this video, that why I liked this video and comment. So it can help in any way
I made Ochlys offensive x 2 and I made her with purple hair and black armour; like Camilla in Fire Emblem Fates Conquest I made Monica more tanky and gave her red hair to be like Monica in Fire Emblem Three Hopes Sharon is now very pink like Natsuki from Doki Doki Literature Club (Ochlys is her Yuri 💜🩷) and Chloe is Blue and Aqua like Chloé from Fire Emblem Engage They all form a team that does really well :3
Speaking of Chloe and Alain… I keep wanting to call Alain as “Alear”… my brain is broken!!! That would be so cute to give Alain a red and blue color scheme though like Alear, maybe I will Also I love that Chloe, Camilla, and Monica ideas! I was thinking of making Clive and Adel look like Christmas Cavs
Thank you so much for showing us where some others are, I've only found 1 mirror so far (about halfway through Drakenhold while dipping into Elheim as theirs some missions that overlap with my current level) and I've changed Alain's stats to Offensive/All Rounder to boost the damage of his skills while retaining somewhat his defensive capability's. The squad I've him on is with Selvie, Melisandre and Travis. And my aim is to obstruct by taking away AP and PP from enemies and gaining it with my own team while Selvie uses her debuff skills from the back and Alain Guarding when needed. Your recommendations with both Lex and Bruno will help me out a lot as I'm pairing them together with Kitra and a Elven Fencer.
Great video! I've already used the mirror a few times, but i like to see what others are doing with it. I used one on Hilda to make her much more offensive, which works well with the spear you get in Drakenhold (that hits all enemies).
That Drakenhold prince is like a carbon copy of Ramza. I am making the heretic with him. Also for some reason Hodrick's growth rate is set to Offensive and Keen in my playthrough despite being a tanker. So if you want to use him to soak or take damage or both, changing him may be crucial
@@TitaniumLegman makes me nostalgic for having her run around as a Hero smacking Great Knights and Generals with a Hammer. Kitra’s even a bit of a tsun which I found out after the fact !
Spoilers for where you can get infinite handmirrors. If you take the boat from the harbor in the far west of Elheim to Albion and take the Walled City of Peyston there will be a vendor that sells infinite handmirrors for 30 honors
Nice color scheme there for you characters. I don't bother to use the hand mirrors yet as I do like the original design and I find that come with stats work fine for me.
Honestly my main interests are Stat growths for Generics. I like using uniques "as intended" because unique classes and characters tend to generally be pretty busted. Plus I'm gonna give them the best gear anyway so... But generics? Well they're pretty much the same as the enemies. It feels fairer to optimise them since there will be so many of them and they won't rock alot of specialised end game gear. As for the colour schemes. I look at the heraldry of the recruited unit. And mimic their scheme. Planning to have a rep of every single preset you encounter. E.g. Black talon Thief.
I personally use a mix of pink, blue, and purple for my army with I think its bronze or brass 2 for the metal. I don't change their hair colors at all since I don't find changing the actual character itself very appealing.
Got to admit Tom, when you redecced Joseph I was surprised… that you didn’t check how he’d look with orange hair at all before confirming the black for him. Not that it definitely would’ve looked better but I figured you of all people would have checked first… oh well; given it was at the end of a long video I guess I can’t fault you much there. Still need to catch up on the last stream(s) in VOD for how you’re tackling Elheim (seriously I can’t retire my brain from thinking it should be *Elf*heim), but I’m sure it’ll be fun. Between you doing the “proper” order and Coffee P. going on a Sequence Break into Bastorias, it’s very clear how well-made this game is…
I haven’t used mine yet. Maybe I will now knowing I can buy more later. I pair my Gladiators with a Witch for Focus Sight, so accuracy isn’t really a problem.
In regards to how much of Cornia needs to be liberated to get the Handmirror, it's definitely not all of it, but I couldn't tell you the minimum amount. I had only cleared the bottom half. Everything North of Auch and North of Renaut I didn't do, but immediately had access to by his items. I did it immediately after Renaut, and I had already cleared the majority of the bottom half of Cornia other than a couple of Liberations near the border, one of which was locked until post Renaut anyway. I haven't used my Hand mirror yet though. For the time being, most of the growth rates I've seen aren't necessarily the most ideal, but I see the intention behind some of them, so I actually like using the characters as they are. I may change some later, but for now, I think everyone that I field regularly has a good growth type for their role. Alain, as an example, is just busted with all-rounder already as it is. Every level is so good, it's kind of shocking actually. feels weird having a Lord this good sometimes lol
I wonder if it’s all the quests below level 10, because everything above Auch and Renault is lower than that (besides fixing the bridges and one town that’s a level 38 mission) It would definitely make sense since the quests you do until then are all lower level than rescuing Scarlet, there’s no level 9 quest in Cornia
I haven’t touched my hand mirror yet, but have been considering it in one of my two save files at least. Just to get some special feeling in the game on a personal level. Also to fix Bruno’s stats since I’ve heard people say he needs an overhaul. Even though I’m playing on the easiest mode possible on both files.
I need help with Ameilia. I have staired down her stats and am not super happy with her growth types. But I also cant for the life of me decide on a good change. Would appreciate some suggestions. (Also aany color scheme changes would be appreciated as well if you have one yall like)
I have my Alain with double offense growths to be pure aggressive lord in the same squad with Berengaria, and Virginia all having double offensive growths. Shinon was my main healer with Rosealinde who can heal and provide some magic attack.
I'd like to hear more about what growth types you would change on other characters. I changed Fran to Offensive and Go Getter with my only mirror. Thinking I might change Selvie with my next one. Not sure yet.
Now I don’t remember which video you talked about the golden eggs, so I can’t check, but there’s also a golden egg at Oevuille Town, along with a rookie egg 😮
Hi Tom, can you please do a video breaking down all the stat sets? I've been wanting to customize their stat sets but don't fully understand all of them such as keen for example
Saw it on Lex, no unique CoA for him? (also for everyone else, you can make unique Emblems for each character, you unlock Parts for these as you progress in the Game, some of the Shield Wielders have them on their Shield, sadly Alain loses this on Rank Up)
I'm not into changing characters appearances but customize stats is indeed important. So I think it is not a good way to do it, there should be a NPC that allow you to modifie your stat and not that expensive. If you want to customize all your unique character it will be damned expensive!!
Haven`t use the mirrors yet, cause i like the way the characters look and am not much of a min-maxer. However i find the Poison Burst staff interesting that Drakenheim black market sells. is it by any chance equipable by Shamans? Could just add another final oomph to my Tricorn Triple Torture squad.
@@joeyjose727Berengaria, Travis, Bruno and Sylvie. The whole idea revolves around Berengarias pursuit that grants her one passive point if she hits enemies with status effects with it. Sylvie uses the staff bought in the desert oasis to burn an entire row, Travis throws poison knives and has as much attacks as possible thanks to carneol pendant and acrobat boots (bought in northern cornia) and Berengaria can stun an entire row. By the time it is Brunos turn, enemies are weakened enough for him to sweep the entire row. Rinse and repeat for the back row. It is a surprisingly effective sweeper squad unless you face a back row of clerics that cleanse everything or have to deal with multiple ranged assists.
@@aureliodeprimus8018 later on you get the sandstorm staff and you'll want Selvie at the top of your batting order using it. AoE blindess. Then Ber can get to work real quick. Cursed swamp is an OP first strike skill
@@wildpartyer13 Yup, though i built Selvie a bit different. I still kept the burn staff, but equipped her with the Necromancer Lantern and a Lapis and later Sapphire Pendant, so she can use it as much as possible after using Cursed Swamp. Then i put Tatiana as the fifth member to deal with status effects (Rias one weakness) and gave her the Exorcism staff so she also can attack.^^
Hello, just wanna ask, i noticed that your scarlett has a kind of orange colored outer wear? (Not the black turtleneck sweater thingh) but in my game its only black? Do i have to unlock it? Thanks for the vid!
Hi Watts! That's just part of the color customization I did with the Idealists Hand mirror I talked about in this video, you can change it to all sorts of colors.
Do we know which stat healing scales off of? Is it MAtk, MDef or a static value? Not sure what personality to give to Scarlett/clerics that would maximize that
Literally has a magic potency stat, 100% magic attack stat. Otherwise, a clerics high magic attack stat is useless. Unless it has a %max health effect which doesn't have a magic potency.
You don't have to clear *most* of Cornia for the Black Market Merchant. I only cleared most of the bottom half, and one of the fights that was right around his area (to the east of him). Also, your Alain and Lex look so much better than their default colors. Lastly, isn't Offensive + Guardian essentially "All-Rounder" for both? edit: Oh, your Josef makes a little more sense than his default look. I never understood why he went from a full head of black hair to WHITE in only ten years. If anything, he should have grey hair, not white unless he was supposed to be in his sixties when he took Alain. 😆
As far as the black market vendor, the reason you may not have been able to buy from him is because all black marketeers only sell to you at night. And you just happened to come around during the day.
Off Topic but was curious if there was a reason why the player's units in combat are on the ride side of the screen and the enemy units are on the left? I know games like Fire Emblem, your units are always on the left side. And in most media, the "good guys" are on the left side fighting the "bad guys" on the right. Found that super odd. Not that far into the game but that would be cool foreshadowing if the Liberation are actually the "bad guys".
You don’t know fire emblem that great then. What I think it more is western reads left to right where eastern read right to left. Earlier fire emblems like genealogy of the holy war has your units on the right. Vanillaware are still primary in the east so might be why.
change guardian to go getter. She shouldn't be getting hit normally while in the back and you will want her to go sooner to get out some debuffs (equipped spear techs) or 1 shotting an annoying flyer and then helping the team with her passives
If you use a mirror on someone they keep the dews they consumed im assuming? I would imagine so since all the dews are just limited stat boost, but don't know if someone actually tested it or not.
Some growth types (or combinations) also seem strictly better than others. With some combinations you lose like 1 point in accuracy, but you get like 5 or 6 stat points in return elsewhere. It's honestly a bit weird how the growth types work. You should make a video on that. How exactly does that even work? Ps. And yes, near the end (on angel island) you can buy hand mirrors for 30 honor a piece. Not sure if it's endless. You can at least buy multiple though. The NPC that sells these is just below the big city where you get that armored angel guy.
Does the mirror worsen the higher level you are? I know you customize growths so I don’t know if it’s too late once you’re high level or it’s like pokemon and suddenly all their stats change as if they’d always been that growth type
When you realize you need this item to really make the best build for a character (i got my proof with amalia : same level as a youtuber, lvl 40, and same equipment, but mine had more hp than him)
Sir I feel I need to inform you that your aesthetic with Lex feels incomplete. His sigil on the shield appears to be his generic crest. I look forward to his updated standard in your next video.😁
While I’m not sure on your choice of crest I think I can suggest a color scheme with some modicum of confidence. Orange and Black and I recommend the dragon statues for a complimentary dark aesthetic
Incorrect, I've tried to speak to him before clearing enough of the map, and he flat out said that Zenoira had too much influence and I'd have to come back after making more of an impact. Unless it's Renown based?
@TitaniumLegman I remember unlocking him after 5 liberations. Not sure if I unlocked him earlier than that but I remember reading somewhere that that was the case. Just don't remember if I read it in-game or here in youtuve or the unicorn overlord subreddit haha
The Black Market peddlers are opened at night, but u need to clear the Area or clear some kind of quest before they can be unlocked (ex. Black Market in Drakenhold, u need to repair the bridge first using Dracian Lumber only found in Drakenhold Region)
