@Lachlan - The Intercom works really good. We use it often from the house to the garage. • Whenever the phone is in standby mode, you can make an intercom call between handsets without using the phone line. • You can make an intercom call from any handset, but only two handsets can be in an intercom call at any time. • If an outside call comes in during an intercom page, the phone cancels the page so you can answer the incoming call. • If an outside call comes in during an intercom call, press HOME/FLASH or MOBILE, depending on which line is ringing, to hang up the intercom call and answer the outside call.

hi Joe my base tells me who's calling but when i scroll down on my handset to caller id its says unavailable, any chance of changing that in the settings ? Thanks Joe

Hi Joe, with my service provider I've removed CID blocking from my account but when I call from my landline to another landline or mobile phone, the recipient still sees a 'private number' message appearing. I think I've checked all systems in my Unident 8355 but I can't seem to find the correct process to see if my landline is still blocking my CID to other devices.. please advise

Hi Gavin ... The Uniden phone don't block your number unless you dial a prefix in front of it. Check with your provider again .

Hi Joe, my Uniden xdect 8355 has a buzzing sound instead of a dial tone and also when people ring and record messages, all we hear is a buzzing sound when the messages are played back. Can you please help. thanks

Hi Ashley ... Sounds like a problem with your Xdect 8355. You can try and factory reset the base station .. But if that fails. Return to place of purchase to have it repaired or replaced.... Cheers Joe.

Hey Joe, Can someone in the other room pick up, put the person on hold, then intercom the other room to let them know the call is for them, and the person in the other room puck up the call?

Need advise: I am unable to hear the caller talking and yet they apparently able to hear me. What do I need to do to reset?

Sounds like a fault somewhere it could be the cabling or the unit itself. Have you tried another phone in that phone socket ? To reset unplug power to the base unit. Remove all batteries from all cordless phones for a few minutes and try again.. If that fails contact Uniden for support .

Hi Liz ....it should automatically appear on the display.... If it shows no number check with your telephone provider and see if caller ID is enabled. There may be a fee to turn that feature on.

Hi Aldo .... There is no special requirements to call 1300 numbers from this phone. If you are unable to make 1300 calls I would check with your local telephone provider .

Hello Unicorn - it does not work with WiFi.... it only works with Bluetooth. Have you tried via Bluetooth yet ?

Hi Joe, what is the range on the Bluetooth? Does the mobile phone have to constantly be next to the base station for this to work, or are there bluetooth receivers on the handsets themselves?

Hi Emily... Bluetooth Range is 10m from the base station.. but the handsets can still be further away ... Around 30m or so ...

Hello Joe, I have deleted many envelopes/messages from our home phone as I can't figure out how to access them. These messages must be being left when we are on other calls. The regular message retrieval is easy. The only way I can get rid of the flashing red light and envelope off the screen is to press Global Set up Reset VMWI. Very annoying. Any fast advice? Thank you!

Hi Joe, Hope you can help me, my puppy chewed through the charger cord, bought a new one , set the phone back up all working except one receiver. It worked fine before but now it just says check base power.

Hi Alexandra .. sounds like when dog chewed though cable it damages to the base charger ... It damages the battery in the actual phone . Try swapping battery from another phone see if makes a difference.

When i am getting an incoming call the phone does not ring and i get a message stating the 'CALLER BLOCKED' Is there some part of the phone I can go into and delete CALL BLOCKED. It does not happen with every call. Thank you

Hi Carmel ... On the base station there is a block button under the numbers pad. Press block then menu scroll down to call blocking . Press select 2 times to see your blocked numbers .. you should be able to remove the blocked number from there. 👍

@@JoeTheGadgetMan yeah it does work, however the range in not ideal. Less than 2.5m. And it didn't allow us to make outgoing calls on the headset, only incoming. We got a plantronics voyager 5200. However if the voyager was connected to my Samsung mobile the range is around 10m. And all functions work well.

Hi Marilyn .. I have to recommend The Uniden 8355+2 with the optional repeater . You may add a maximum of 3 repeaters on 1 Cordless system.. that should get you your 60m easy.. might even get away with 2 of them 😀... I mentioned the repeater in the video clip.

Hi Jeyen .... yes it will so long as your mobile is within Bluetooth range (approx 10m) from the base.

I just checked and its not 10m but its 3m ... Try getting closer to base station... You should be able to get land line calls on your mobile.

With the MobileLink feature, you can essentially treat your mobile phone as a second line. You can use the XDECT 8355 handset to make and receive calls on your mobile phone number, put mobile phone calls on hold, and transfer calls to other handsets. • Bluetooth wireless devices have a maximum range of about 3 m; the actual range will vary depending on local conditions (obstacles, battery power, interference, etc.).

Hi Helen - On the direction pad press right arrow once ( CID ) then press down arrow to scroll down list of callers or missed calls. You can see the last 50.

Hi Bijay ... It should come on automatically... If it's not coming up. Contact your telephone service provider and ask them to turn on calling number display.

With the phone in standby, open the phonebook. Select Home and then Create New. Enter a name and number and select a personal ring. • Enter the phone number (up to 32 digits) exactly as you would dial it. • If you need the phone to wait before sending the next set of digits, press REDIAL/PAUSE to insert a 2-second pause. You can insert multiple pauses, but each one counts as a digit (you’ll see P in the display). • To edit the name, press PHONEBOOK to move the cursor back and insert a letter. Press END/CLEAR.to delete a letter. • To edit the number, press END/CLEAR. to back up the cursor and delete numbers. Re-enter the correct numbers.

The base unit should come with a wall mount bracket ... The same mount that you use for the desk. Just detach it spin it around and then you can mount the base to the wall 😉
