The initial checkout of a set of Uniden DECT 6 cordless phones with digital answering system and waterproof handset, model DECT1580-4WXT. This is the original configuration for this model as it would have shipped from the factory.
Great video on the initial checkout of the cordless telephones that waterproof one is one of my favorites I can't wait for part 2 video of telephones to clean up
Great video of the Uniden DECT1580-4WXT DECT 6 Cordless the Telephones with the Speakerphones & the digitan answering machine the Jordan! The part that got me the laughing was when you the said, "Hello, you have reached the Goose Guy! HONK! HONK!" That really did quite the well for the me because yes, I am nicknamed the Goose Guy.
@@JordanU What I meant was that I've never personally used one so I can't attest to how waterproof it is. Wasn't meaning to outright deny the feature. :-) Ever demo one of these phones getting wet?
This is the model of 1580 that I’m looking out for. Not only do I like this color and need another 1580, but I also think a Waterproof handset would go well in the grage.
I'm pretty sure the speaker on the base is the same as the handsets, so it's most likely a placebo that it sounds clearer through the handset because you're generally holding the handset closer to you. Now I know not to use Uniden answering systems if I want remote access, pressing multiple buttons to do each function is so outrageous. Make sure you leave a CLEAR message for Farmer Jones because he probably has a digitan deplorable answering system! That's hilarious that he started saying that now.
@Xyspade I do not believe that is the case, but we will find out for certain in a few weeks. It's only an additional button, and it's the same additional button for each function. While it does seem extraneous on the surface, I don't really see anything wrong with it. That could be, but there's also probably the issue of people calling from I-FONES, where of course, the audio clarity is notoriously deplorable.
I think Panasonic needs to simply take the internals of a good handset such as the KX-TGFA51 and put them into a waterproof casing, as appears to be the case with the Uniden 33xx handsets. Keep in mind that the KX-TGTA61 is their first, and only as of now, truly-waterproof phone, so they may very well improve it in the future. The reason the good Panasonics are more expensive is because that’s generally the case with their phones these days, especially since they have lots of features.
Panasonic has been making cordless phones for decades. Uniden successfully made an excellent waterproof cordless phone decades ago. There's no excuse at this point.
