I cant say enough about the President Richard you get all the gimmicks found on high $ "Export" jobs at a way better cost I plan to pair the Dick with a KL203P in my mobile but I bought 2 of them to use one as a base rig.
Those KL200P Amps are great I have several of the REV. 4.0 probably the first ones they made and they are still kicking with no problems. You put 3 watts into these Amps and you usually get 70-75 Watts Dead Key and usually Peak at around 110 Watts with a Low SWR Reading you should not ever hurt these Amps and that is with 13.8 Volts and maximum Current Draw of around 8 Amps.

Great info. Yes the Uniden 68XL is a very good radio and is basically the same as a cobra 25. I have dozens of NOS ones and also have been doing the same mods to them for many years you are right they are very good talking radios. I also have stacks of the 70s Cybernet Midlands which are also awesome and with a few mods ( Mitsubishi1969 final etc) i make them talk just as well as the Unidens. I have been selling them on Ebay etc and customers love them.
