Truly happy you did this video. It's a good place to have a refresher when I'm adding someone to my network. I do have one click Wi-Fi one click VPN EV charging and no access. I truly wish that they will add cameras as it will be one place for my employees managers to access the necessary information without getting into too much and the tap capability would be super fantastic on the free version
@@MactelecomNetworks I am based in Germany and signed up for the trial - it looked good so I decided to keep it... Then Ubiquiti annouces it's US only. So currently I have it activated for free as Ubiquiti are unable to charge for it. But it's quite good. I only use it for our camera system over multiple sites and it gives us control of who can see what. It also lets us sync with Azure AD. When it gets it's "real" launch in Europe, I will continue with it.
Great quick video on UID - Any idea if Ubiquiti is actively working on bringing mobile tap and protect view to the free version or is this unlikely to happen anytime soon?
Great overview! I was just playing with this the other day and it is a fantastic product! It was unbelievably easy to set up. I don’t have the locks but the WiFi and VPN are valuable to any small business and home use.
Please will you do a video that helps describe how users can use UID with Unifi access to elevator, garage from further away, apartment doors, guest access, shipping and delivery access, as well as other assigned door? I’m trying to see if this solution would work for tenants at apartment building.
I would love to see either some sort of API support for creating and managing UID users and assigning RADIUS vlan IDs. Would be great for a school environment where students and staff live on different VLANs but use the same SSID. I would also like to see a way to manage OS support - e.g. A school only support Windows or Mac devices and no phone devices are permitted to connect to the WiFi using UID.
Would like to see a video on the enterprise functionality (paid) version. I'm currently evaluating it's use, and your expertise on Unifi would be great insight.
I was really hoping I could enable One-Click WiFi and then assign the user to a particular VLAN instead of just a single WiFi. Watched your other 2024 video and used it as a template to get my different VLANs setup. For example, I may want Joe to join my Staff network, but want Andrea to join my Student network.
I got it to work with using a RADIUS server in Unifi. It adds a radius user for you and you edit it to which VLAN you want it to go to. Would be easier if they just gave you the option when creating the user.
Is this good for hotel and resort set-up? One of my problem for WIFI connection is the wall thickness. This is my first time deploying Unifi devices. UAP-AC-IW, CLOUDKEY +, GATEWAY LITE, and STANDARD POE SWITCH.
I bought the new Unifi gateway max with 1 TB ssd. Do you know how to verify that it came with the 1 TB ssd? I can't seem to find anything within the app. Thanks. :)
Hy. I think has a bug. I have UDM pro update lastest release. With two wan active in failover identity vpn is conected but cant reach nas. After disable wan2, delete user from vpn server and resend invitation is working fine, i able to access my nas. This happening only in unifi identity, i create vpn server (wireguard) without identity in dual wan and works again with wireguard app.
Unfortunately they are still pay gating MFA for One-Click VPN behind UID Enterprise. That makes UID Free useless in almost all businesses, in the U.S. at least. Cyber Insurance policies all require MFA protected remote access now.
8 minutes. No way. I'm still trying to figure out which of the apps I'm supposed to use for what. Trying to get my boss to setup UID then realizing it needed Verify was very frustrating.
I am only interested for the door acces, i tried it a long time ago but it was limited to 5 users, they changed it? How many users can i add for the free version?
Hi Cody, I was wondering if using Ubiquity (complete network equipments) is possible to configure MAC based VLAN selection as much for wired as much as for WiFi networks. e.g. 1x device with MAC address xx.xx.xx.xx will be on the WiFi VLAN while the 2x device with MAC yy.yy.yy.yy will be connected to IoT VLAN over the WiFi
