Yeah It's a good one, well I like it anyway, it's much better than the one I had previously and it was easy to put together too. Yes I could, however the DAC cable would still have SFP+ connectors on each end wouldn't it. Plus I have struggled in the past to find a very short DAC cable which looks neat & tidy, I've ended up with excess cable loops with DAC cables, anyone know of very short DAC cable suppliers ?
@@MrTimTech2022 it is SFP+ but it’s passive, meaning less power draw which equals less heat and longer life. Ubiquiti sells a 0.5m for $13(I don’t know the cost there). I’m not saying there is anything wrong with your setup, just that for shorter distances, DAC is the preferred method.
@@John-ml4pr Hey John, yes that's true re power draw & heat. I may well look in to searching for a very short DAC cable, yes I guess that one would do but would be better if I could find one shorter, will certainly have a look around. Thanks for your comment and feedback, appreciated!
@kentish_outdoor2335 - Yes it wasn't up to my usual quality, apologies for this. Hopefully I can improve it on my future vids. So yes I agree and appreciate your constructive comment 😇. I think it was my post editing and maybe interference being next to the cabinet from the wifi mics I used. Will certainly look in to this when on my next recording session!
