Thoughts? Absolutely! This is an absolutely phenomenal printer and is the only printer I use now. I have 2 of them and they are just amazing! No, not from a power loss. I had this happen to me just a week ago. I lost a 13 hour print lol. I don't know that there is a resin printer available with a resume function after a power loss. They're not really like an FDM printer. Thank you for watching!! 🤗

@@HomemadeJam3D Can you _please_ include a thin, flat, rectangular print showing whether the GK2 makes that "grid pattern" on the surface from the "LED matrix"? Thanks!

@@retromodernart4426 I'm not really sure what your mean by a grid pattern? Are you seeing anomalies in your prints? I don't see anything grid like from the led array. Newer technology shouldn't have that same banding lines like the older printers did.

@@HomemadeJam3D Thanks for your quick reply! I am deciding between buying one of these GK2s or a Nova3D Whale3. I print mostly functional mechanical prototypes. The deciding factor is whether or not the GK2 causes that LED Matrix grid pattern on outward facing flat surfaces printed parallel to the build plate (like the Photon Mono, Mars, Saturn, Whale2, etc. all do). I have had Anycubic Photon Mono and Mono X, Nova3D Bene4 Mono and Whale 2, and a Uniz IBEE. I got rid of the Mono (grid pattern), Mono X (not enough accuracy in prints for my use case, they seem to have "solved" the grid problem by moving the LCD a bit farther from the grid array at the cost of focus). The Whale2 is great mechanically, but they ruined it with that LED Matrix grid. The Bene4 Mono is awesome but small (6" screen), razor sharp and extremely accurate dimensionally, prints "exotic" engineering materials like ceramic, rubber, etc. perfectly. The Uniz IBEE is fantastic, too, total precision workhorse, too bad Uniz ignores it. They use COB light source in the Bene4 Mono, Whale3 and IBEE. The difference in a COB light source (no "grid" artifact) is that each UV LED is in an individual quartz lens, which collimates the UV light resulting in very accurate focus and no "grid lines". The "LED matrix" light sources are rows of UV LEDs on a circuit board with a "matrix" of bulbous plastic lenses above the LEDs to focus the light onto the LCD - the lines where the plastic lenses meet are what causes the grid. Obviously, the GK2 is a great printer, but I need to know if the light source produces that grid pattern on all flat surfaces or not, which is a total no-go for my use cases. I really do think you'd be happy with the GKtwo because it's one of those printers that you don't have to fiddle with at all. Leveled from the factory and like I said before, it'll just print... beautifully! I know this video was about the GKtwo, but have you looked at the Creality Halot series printers? I have 4 of them and they're all pretty darn good printers. The Halot Lite is an 8.9" screen, so not like the super small printers. The thing with the Halot printers is that they use a smaller LED array, and the light is bounced from a mirror up onto the screen. I don't get those "bubble lines" in my prints when I print with those printers. When I say bubble lines, I'm talking about that weird line you get in your prints due to the lines between each LED bubble. You might check it out.

I mostly print 1:4 and 1:6 scale figures but I've printed a lot of random things for my next video. I plan to make another one showing the quality and detail of the printer. You are absolutely going to love this printer!!
